Just started watching the video, so I don't know if this is a successful project but let's go! (First like also, just had to say it) totally saw that oil pickup tube fall off the table.
Put some Lucas oil treatment in and add it with each oil change, I was amazed how much quieter and pressure increase in my 04 4.0 WJ. It made a believer out of me. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
If you had the oil pan off you should have changed out the main / rod bearings which were right there near the oil pump, theyre cheap and you would have a better scope about the condition of the cam bearings
It's always good waking up on a sunday and watching an xj video from you
Right on thanks for watching man!

Right on! The motor may or may not already be out haha, but I will definitely have to try that!
That's a bummer Jimmy...Have a Merry Christmas buddy...
We'll get er figured! Merry Christmas!
Would have been a good time to pull the bearing caps while you had the pan off.
Thx for these videos… learning a lot … good comments too …. Sorry the pump was not the fix
Right on! Thanks for watching

Oof, that old oil pump sounded BAD.
Big oof
Can you use a slightly higher viscosity oil to get the pressure back up?
You probably could in some cases to get you by. Still kind of a band aid. But in my case I used 15w40 and 10w30 and it did not make a difference.
I have the same problem with my 2001 XJ, looks like I'm fucked too...
Yeah dude was really hoping the oil pump would save it haha
