One of the saddest parts in the game (for me) was the final mission for Elizabeta Torres at 1:39:52. Two large drug deals in a row were busted by the cops, several agencies are about to take her down, her friends have left her (and some are even snitching in order to get lesser sentences), her assistant is now in witness protection (Jorge), and not even her childhood friend is hanging out with her (Mallorie). She's all alone waiting to be locked up, knowing that she's facing up to 300 years, when one of her former friends busts in to perform a citizen's arrest and she kills him while on a bender. To me, it was a powerful message regarding the dangers surrounding drugs, as well as Elizabeta's hard life in general. GTA IV: TL&D has more of her background, but what an ending to her freedom.

One thing i honestly always prefered with IV over V is the serious tone and atmosphere, dont get me wrong i love V and its a masterpiece but i prefer the gritty and serious tone of IV
I've always preferred IV for the same reasons. V seems like the "family friendly" version of gta. And it's mainly an online game to top it off. Pesos over story.

I think it's because they don't do remasters and that this game came out on the last generation consoles, which don't really deserve remakes yet as they are still considered "new". Gta SA has a better chance than this game. Also, the voice actor for Niko is in bad touches with Rockstar, meaning we wouldn't even have the original voice actor...
I have found out that the voice actor for CJ is also in bad touches with Rockstar for the same reason. He made an entire rant about it on Instagram. I don't even understand Rockstar, mainly just that they treat their voice actors like sh*t
Man this game was my life. It and Battlefield Bad Company 1 (and 2) had the best stories. This game had the best music too! omg Liberty Rock Radio as well.. idk what it is about 2008 games man.. BC and thus were both 2008. BC had the best humour and this was just amazingly planned out. I remember adoring Yusuf Amir. Thanks for 1080p! :)
Came to think about it, the rainy weather helps to set the theme of the game by the characteristics of love broken by committing revengeful acts to avenge the suffered ones, TLAD seems dope for sunrise, dusky weather to help reassemble the brotherhood and TBOGT Sunny weather helps to shape the more glitzy side of LC. Gotta love the juxtaposing themes between the three protagonists endeavours to attempt of just trying to live decent lifes
As I see, too many characters in this game are obsessed about the streets. Reminds me of a whole bunch of people that talk about the streets in real life

I didnt get far in this game because i had a job and family and things would constantly come up. After watching this video, i see i really missed out on a fantastic story. Im just glad i could atleast watch this.
Gta v had better graphics and gameplay, for sure. But, at the end of the day, the story and soundtrack is what matters. Damn, I wish I was older when I played this bad boy for the first time. Wayyyy to young to understand all of this.
I love it how you made the cutscenes have rain and thunder in it. I used to do the same thing setting this up before starting the mission using the weather cheat.

I remember when the BC beta came out and imidietelly fell in love with it. Bought it and BC 2 is still the best multiplayer FPS I’ve ever played.

Because the game has a depressing/sad atmosphere, Niko’s story is one of sadness and loss. The rain could be a symbol of his past “washing away”.
