    Thank you so so much. My car died before I could get it to a shop and this video was a life saver. If you still have it and do any other work on it please post it. I need to learn how to keep my car going.

    I was able to get my alternator changed out thanks to you! I deleted my video of it trying to transfer it to a different phone but I am attempting to document what else I get done to it. That's me below, Mississippi Girl.
    Thanks again for all that you do! My attempt at the alternator belt change out is coming 🤦🏾‍♀️🤣

    Thanks alot Mr. Vargas, your video helped me get my alternator on correctly. If its not too much to ask for could you do a quick clip of what the belt looks like under the car, i want to make sure my belt is routed correctly and that im not missing a belt on my pulleys. i only have two belts hooked to my alternator and to the crankshaft, but there is two pulleys that do not have a belt on them, its making me very cautious. i would appreciate it sincerely.

    Thank You!! Couldn't have done it without your video. A couple of points in case it's interesting to someone else... I *think* you have to compress the tab on the side of the connector to get it to come off. I wasn't having any luck until I did and then easy. Part # at O'Reilly was R110697A. There were two available for the 94 and I got the wrong one first time. Because my car was sold in Canada as a 1996 Sentra, I had trouble sourcing parts until someone told me they didn't even make a 2 door in 1996 and that I should buy parts made for a 1994. I have a high pitch whine from the rebuilt alternator. Similar to this one here th-cam.com/video/N1t3LfNX4Ws/w-d-xo.html I see various reasons this might be happening, but mostly just not a great rebuild. But it's charging, the battery light is off, and it's an old car I don't drive that much so I think I can live with it.

      The stud that the wire fits over may be striped so the nut will just spin. I would just cut it as close as possible & put a new terminal on it. I also live in MS on the coast. Good luck.

      @@smvick7856 hey! I'm on the coast as well. I took it to autozone and took pictures of the 3 people trying to get it off 🤣🤣🤣. Well, the supervisor realized and said "well it's already toast so just break the plastic part" he did and screwed the nut off so easy 😆. But someone had gotten it out of the car for me. I just put it back in about 30 minutes ago by myself. Thanks for your reply!!!

    My mom just lost the alternator belt on her way back from a long drive, and it looks like I could be making a drive down to where the car is to take care of it. Is the belt only routed from the alternator to the crankshaft, or does it rout to something else as well? It's the same car as in this video; 1994 Nissan Sentra.

    • @bvargas0307
      @bvargas0307  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the serpentine belt on my particular Sentra turned the alternator and a/c compressor. There should be some good diagrams online that should indicate the proper routing of the belt. Best of luck. Stay safe.

    • @bvargas0307

      Brianna Smith .. Hi, Nothing wrong with taking top off first, my suggestion is to avoid the possibility of pulling on bottom wires and/or causing damage to the bottom plug. There wasn't much slack available on mine. Thanks for watching.
