Try a Sprint Booster if you'd like better throttle response and no it doesn't add HP, it changes how the throttle work vs factory settings (very programable). Todays factory air boxes, in most cases, are designed to allow more HP than the engine currently has. The K&N or a BMC will help the intake airflow the most. The percentage of increase from the charcoal filter will become more detrimental along with more modifications like the exhaust side; high flow cat (400 or 200). To get more power it's a total package, in and out. I've modified my 2010 gen2 Cayman S and my 2013 gen2 Base Cab Toyota Tacoma for better performance with the aforementioned techniques. Have fun with the mods.

Dude.. the difference to Japanese and European hp is the difference in calculation of the hp. Japanese 235hp is exactly the same power as US 228hp. It has nothing to do with fuel or air filters etc.
🤷🏻♂️ people have been dynoing them and there’s a difference in horsepower when removing the filter and adding a drop in that allows more air to flow through.

This won’t trigger an check engine light the filter is there to absorb any excess smog the car produces when you turn it off. If you get a check engine light it would be related to something else

@@bj10jgo they mentioned why they put it and it’s for emissions and not every car comes with it. Cars in Japan do not come with it and have an extra 4 horsepower. Best example I can give is using two masks when you’re working out it’s harder to breath and you get more restriction, that’s pretty much what’s happening here,

Your risking putting Pollen, various Particles and debris in your Engine.. in tine. This will wreak havoc on your engine eventually. Not worth an air filter delete..
Umm this isn’t a air filter delete, this is a charcoal filter delete while still retaining an OEM air filter or upgrading to a k&n air filter for a bit more airflow. The charcoal filter is for emissions and depending where you live around the world some cars do not come equipped with it. Dude, the K&N filter might actually be restricting your airflow MORE than stock.
The stock air filter is now already a performance item.

mine made 232whp and 188wtq on the dyno with these plus a catback... stock ECU and no tuning. Proven.
