Hello again my dear Judy and DJ and thanks for another reaction to ABBA songs (maybe I am one who request fot these) on an album as sophisticated and versatile as "The Album" (1977, just 45 years algo) "Move on" is one of the most original songs and maybe the most underrated it hasn't official video or TV perfomance The melody surprises from the beginning, with a complex and complete instrumentalization, including sounds of Andean music (like those of my region in South America) Björn's prologue stands out, that introduces us to an excellent lyric, with a mystical part that includes the meaning of life and invites us to take center stage the voices are majestic, one of ABBA's best vocal and choral works Agnetha's solo is soft, sweet and beautiful, and in the next verse She is harmonies with the voice of Frida, (it's from anthology) and with the choirs at pure power, with those almost mystical "lalala", together with a growing music, they make a spectacular symphony. All the songs in "The Album" (1977) have their distinctive stamp, it is an album of excellence (a Masterpiece); remember that included; The name of the game (complex and wonderful) Take a chance on me (the most catchy pop) Eagle (fantastic rock progresive) One man one woman (beautiful ballad) Hole in your soul ((amazing powerful rock) and the mini musical with Thank you for the music (classic hymn) I wonder (dramatic ballad) I'm a marionette (rock operarte) and "Move On" is a fantastic creation by ABBA and the best demonstration of their openness to exploring new musical genres and in 1980 ABBA recorded "Move on" in spanish: "Al Andar", to the album "Gracias por la Música" I give you all My best regards and wish a greatest week to You and DJ from Buenos Aires Argentina GOD bless You
Thank you for another great reaction!❤🇸🇪 Beautiful song, I know people who wants this played or performed at their funeral. It's Björn (Ulvaeus) who speaks at the beginning which makes sense since he wrotes most of the lyrics.
Ah! Oh, for those songs when you are like... THIS one... why was this one not released. Always am curious about the stories of how songs are chosen and the ones left behind. Fun when songs find their way to making a splash when not released too. :) When fans and radio stations play the B side or the unreleased and they just take on a life of their own. Thank you!
Thank you so much for reacting to my request! It is from The album from 1977,but no official video and only released in a few South American countries. There is a Spanish version called Al Andar. My mom loved it just as much as I do. She passed away in March. You really made my day. A big thank you from South Africa. If you feel like reacting to a very emotional song, have a listen to Monsters by James Blunt or Piece by piece by Kelly Clarkson (live from the American idol farewell season). You may need a few tissues at hand. It hits hard ❤️
OH... I'm so glad! I am glad to hear this song! It was really good. So interesting to listen to something the first time.... what one hears... what one misses... that they notice the NEXT time they listen. :) Thank you so much for your request. I am sorry to hear about your Mom! It sure can take time to to heal and grieve. I love that you shared music as a bond with your Mom... or at least it sounds like you may have. :) Good memories. Thanks for the requests. I have NOT heard the James blunt version. I HAVE heard the Kelly song... not sure that performance. Been a long time since I heard it... but it was intense! Thank you!
