I like Björns first verse. It gives the song something special. And if you listen carefully to the third verse then you can hear the hook in the counter melody sung by Frida while Agnetha sings the main melody.
Thank you for another beautiful video reaction❤ I know people who wants this song played at their funeral, like a hopeful farewell❤ A friend of my had "Arrival" at her wedding, it was very beautiful ❤
Hello again my dearest Mark and John and thanks for another reaction to ABBA songs on an album as sophisticated and versatile as "The Album" (1977) "Move on" is one of the most original songs and maybe the most underrated og these fantástic album, because it hasn't official video or TV perfomance ; its a beautiful gem! The melody surprises from the beginning, with a complex and complete instrumentalization, including sounds of Andean music (like those of my region in South America) Björn's prologue stands out (I like it) that introduces us to an excellent lyric, with a mystical part that includes the meaning of life and invites us to take center stage the voices are majestic, one of ABBA's best vocal and choral works Agnetha's solo is soft, sweet and beautiful, and in the next verse She is harmonies with the voice of Frida, (it's from anthology) and with the choirs at pure power, with those almost mystical "lalala", together with a growing music, they make a spectacular symphony. All the songs in "The Album" (1977) have their distinctive stamp, it is an album of excellence (a Masterpiece); remember that included; The name of the game (complex and wonderful) Take a chance on me (the most catchy pop) Eagle (fantastic rock progresive) One man one woman (beautiful ballad) and much more to comming soon Hole in your soul (I don't want to spoil it) and the mini musical with Thank you for the music I wonder (departure) I'm a marionette and "Move On" is a fantastic creation by ABBA and the best demonstration of their openness to exploring new musical genres and in 1980 ABBA recorded "Move on" in spanish: "Al Andar", to the album "Gracias por la Música" (1980) I give you all My best regards and wish a greatest weekend from Buenos Aires Argentina GOD bless You
Oh guys, I love your ABBA reactions, father and son, 2 generations discovering (or rediscovering) one of the best pop bands ever... This is my favorite album (paired with The Visitors), you will be very surprised with the next song!!! Saludos de Argentina!!!
I love the increasing dominating lalala's and what is also special about this song is when they start singing 'like a roller in the ocean', you really are on a big wave! Don't know if that was musically intended, but if so, it is truly brilliant!.
One of the guys from Abba mentioned in an interview that growing listening to the radio in Sweden ... The music played was international / from all over the world ... He said that was a big influence on him ... and you can hear that in this song especially ... Abba recorded an entire album in Spanish actually in the 70's of thier hits at the time .... It did very well in Spanish speaking countries ! From that album ' al andar ' / ' move on ' is my favourite ... That version does not include the intro with the male voice ... They hired a couple translators to help so they would get ' native Spanish speaking ' translations . I enjoyed your reactions !
One of their greatest songs...all about 'living for the moment,' Just beautiful and relevant.
Great reaction boy's, My all time favourite ABBA track 10/10
Among their 3 best songs. Just beautiful in every way, the instrumentation, melody, and out-of-this-world harmonies!

Not a fan of the overpowering lalas. Sounds better in the Spanish version.
@meropale a matter of taste isn't it
A pure masterpiece.

Beautiful song. This one should’ve been released as a single.
Yeah, ABBA... Mark you are so right ~ Move ON/Forward!
Love this song so much!
You can try the Spanish version of this same song, titled "Al Andar". So, after you've heard it twice you will appreciate it even more.

The melody of this song was used for a shampoo comercial in Germany in the 80's. 😁
