  • Highlights from the final round of the VMCC (Victoria Motorcycle Club) Summer Series. Hosted at the Chirs Amon Circuit, Manfeild, New Zealand.
    I placed 3rd, 2nd and DNF, crashing out while trying to chase down a couple of mates up ahead.

    You should upload your throttle angle to see how you drag elbow on your gas side

    • @FUOL_Motorsport
      @FUOL_Motorsport  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its definitely harder on the gas side! Best advice I have is hold your throttle like a screwdriver, it's amazing the instant difference your hand position has to how 'open' your shoulder is and how far you can stick your elbow out.
      Good idea for another video though!

    Mean. What gearing do you use here?

    • @FUOL_Motorsport
      @FUOL_Motorsport  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! Using stock front and either 44T or 45T on the rear, depending on head/tail wind.

    • @mckricks1
      @mckricks1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FUOL_Motorsport What differences does that rear gearing make? Also what tire pressures are you running? What suspension setup? I am thinking of doing Traxxion dynamics damper kit for the front from Norton Motorsports, and K-Tech Lite shock for the rear from Norton. It seems good value and not too over the top since I will still ride on the street. Rear shock is unadjustable and will be shipped according to my weight so I hope I make the right choice. Wanted to do a adjustable one just in case for flexibility but the price is just a little high for those. Let me know if you have any tips! Haven't done a track day yet but hoping to soon!

      @@mckricks1 Hiya,
      Gearing:
      Gearing is typically determined based on the track and is typically setup to ensure you are at maximum RPM in your top gear at the fastest part of track. Although if this results in suboptimal gearing for a number of corners, you may adjust it. I would suggest talking to some racers at your local track, they will give you a good base setting.
      Suspension:
      In this video I was using Andreani fork catridges and a Nitron R3 rear shock.
      Tyres and Pressures:
      I'm using Bridgestone R11's and I believe running 30F /28R hot off the warmers.
      Sounds like you've got some exciting changes coming up, enjoy.

    my rear is 140 and if i corner liek you i'd have a low side right away. Maybe it all boils down to the road material. Just got some really bad tears in my arm cornering xD

      @FUOL_Motorsport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SepuluhSeptember Heya, I couldn't tell you sorry. In NZ, we are restricted to racing on stock tyre sizes so I have no experience using a 160 rear.
