Fab instructions, I was repairing a blown cable and as I opened up the assembly spring and plastic bit flew out, thought well that's screwed it. Your video saved the day, hoover back in action, big thank you from Scotland.
Video was great, helped me get that white piece and spring back together correctly. I broke one of my tabs off closing it back up. All these plastic pieces under tension don't make for a robust design. At least I'm back up and fully functional. Thank You!
I had the same problem and have spent hours watching other videos, this is exactly what was wrong with my DC45. At last it's fixed and working well. My hubby kept telling me to ditch it and buy a new one, hey...persistence and patience definitely pays off.... thanks so much
Hey, thanks much for this. That little white toggle piece leaped out of mine during disassembly and I was having a heck of a time figuring out where it went. Well done!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I replaced a cord and the switches fell out, springs came off and the white piece were all laying on the table. You video saved me.
The video was very helpful. I have been able to replace the switches and probably saved a couple of hundred dollars at the vacuum repair center. Ordered the parts on line for a couple of dollars. My Dyson works great again.
Hi from the UK , thank you so much for this video you saved me £300 for a new dyson , all the parts cost me £!8.00 and delivery and all back working , a million thankyou ( Dyson DC25 similar system) except red button goes in before grey
Had an issue with the brush bar not working...intermittent at best. Thought it was one of the switches - either the one in the ball or one of the ones in the video. Turns out the wire that goes to the brush is part of the rotating ball assembly and when I tore it apart the wires had chafed and were shorting out. Thanks for the video...helps figure out what's going on.
Helpful video. Unfortunately my plastic handle that all that housing attaches to is warped and the hose took 9 months before it clicked into its place. Reattaching these buttons seems like an impossible task. It's taking me several days and I've yet to accomplish it. The nearest Dyson dealership is several hours away. Be pretty sad to drive several hours One direction for 2 minute fix. Thanks for the helpful video.
Great video and I learned a lot from it. Are both the power switch and the beater bar switch the same? Iooked on the replacement parts website and only see the power switch. Thanks for your help

I made a couple of small errors when trying to reassemble mine and this was the video that helped me see the errors of my ways. Thanks for the video!

Thank you. This was exactly what was driving me nuts.
Thank you! Replaced power cord with one from older dyson but couldn’t figure the spring thing out. May have saved me from buying a new one.
