  • This week we tackle the Oodnadatta Track. We leave our family behind at the Prairie but just for a week while we venture up north.
    Its fair to say the Oodnadatta didn't leave us disappointed. We first stopped in Marree to check out the pub and Tom Cruise's old truck. Our next stop was Coward Springs for an outdoor natural spa until we head to William Creek for the night.
    Our next stop the next day is Oodnadatta and then we detour toward sthe painted desert. We would highly recommend this road for anyone who is heading that way.
    We hope you enjoyed this episode and we will see you next week for when head to Uluru.
    If you want to help us out and purchase a sticker just follow the link below. We also sell shirts and hoodies and all funds will go straight back into production.

    Watching you fuel up from 2022 like 😫
    "$2.10 is the most expensive fuel we've ever seen"

    Great work guys loving the episodes. Wait untill you head North Queensland on the old development road to the top (assuming you are going there imo best part of the country) you will spend all day rounding up road train after road train little bit scary but totally worth it

    Great vid again. I was really hoping you went to Dalhousie Springs near Oodnadatta. A beautiful part of the desert with a huge expanse of crystal clear water. Oh well. Price of fuel is what it is if we want to travel in remote areas. Looking forward to the next video.

    We had to turn around at Coward Springs, but I think we were a few days ahead of you. The flies were brutal, I thought maybe I was being a bit nesh after not being out for a while, but even the locals remarked that they were at a different level - Marree sold out of the fly nets :)

    We are planning to do this too when we start our big lap. So I have been watching a lot of videos of Oodnadatta track, it's a popular track and u guys skipped Cooper Perdy (which seem everyone done it hahaha). We also opt for Painted Desert too, I haven't seen any video if it yet, only from u guys so far. I am more convince to detour to Painted Desert now but the corrugation, oh my. (@_@).

      @@OverlandTravellers Thanks for the reply. Have been looking at the Mavic Pro as a starting point to getting into some drone photography. Seems like a great drone and feature set for a good price. Can I ask what other gear you guys use for your filming as well?

    Google Maps (directions) goes crazy on both the Oodnadatta and Birdsville Tracks. It seems to estimate travelling times way, way longer than they actually take. I've noticed this on many Australian Outback roads (but not all).

    • @OverlandTravellers
      @OverlandTravellers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kim Flesser we have noticed it a bit too so we usually just judge our time with the kms rather than the estimated time from google
