I have 76 colour pencils I always try to use all of them but you know there are just those primary secondary colour I come back to

I live in the villages and get so much out of tutorials. We have several coloring classes and we swap ideas. Thankfully going back to classes after seven mths of staying in. We all can’t wait. This session is great for beginners who only purchase small containers of pencils. Thank you

Not to mention all the colors if you layer more than one pencil on top of each other! :-). But there is something so satisfying about a full box of pencils.... it’s very hard to resist.
Thank you for the wonderful demo. But does this require paper with higher gsm? If using pencils straight out of the box, I can get away with 160gsm paper. But when mixing two colors, I find that the paper surface is quite slippery when I apply the second color.

I bought a 24 set of Fabers then got greedy and bought a 132 of Prismas. I regret shelling out for such a big set since ive become more aware of the beauty of optical mixing.

Thanks for the video! But don't you just get alot of dublets? Like yellow-red and then later Red-yellow? Isn't that the same color in the end or?
The final color may differ based on the proportion of the two ingredient colors. I guess mixing colored pencil requires a certain level of experience and sensibility to produce the final hue that you want, and there's no going back if you apply too much of a color. So that's why many professional colored pencil artists have a lot of pencils, while I rarely see professional watercolorists having more than 48 colors in their palettes.
