    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
The Hunter’s 2018 Ram ProMaster 3500 extended wheelbase van is fully loaded with everything to make vanlife comfortable, including a full wet bath with on-demand hot water.
Their van even has a dedicated coffee cabinet and pull-out roaster since Katelynn is a coffee roaster by trade! Ethan and Katelynn slowly transitioned into vanlife and minimalism over four different moves, making it easier to live in a tiny space. One of our favorite features in their van is the huge horseshoe shaped seating area centered around a beautiful custom dining table, perfect for entertaining. To purchase their coffee or consult with them on your van build, you can DM them on Instagram or send an email.

this is literally the first couple who says they are minimalist and it's true. clean garage and utility spaces, no clutter, beautiful spaces. love the fact they don't have to put more than the dish scrubber away during travel. amazing. my fave so far.

Love the contrast of the dark van on the outside an the homey bright inside. Just lovely and minimal all around. For anyone wanting that minimalist look and feel, an alternative to the Ikea leather handles on the doors and drawers - cut-outs for handles on drawers and cupboards which I just love and plan on doing in my tiny kitchen.

      A lot. Lol
If you can find an older, but solid vehicle, you could save a good deal there.
If you can learn to do as much as possible yourself, you can save a lot there. Measure 5x. Cut once. Lol.
However much time/money you think it will take, triple it. That way. You'll come our ahead.
I saw an Asian guy do something like this ingeniously in a small Nissan van and he had everything shown here. Including a U-shaped drawer for around the sink. It was brilliant.
The gas mileage on these might kill me, at 5.00 a gallon and probably 10mpg, if you were VERY lucky...

I'd love to have hydraulics to drop this below 6 feet high when parked. Major city is always trying to regulate stuff, but they apparently have 0 issue with crack heads living in filthy tents, bothering you when you get off the freeway.
It's a shame when you HAVE TO have a rottweiler with you, just to drive around. She was a beauty. Very loving,, extremely devoted dog. Never aggressive. Never had to be. Just looked at you, watching carefully, and that was enough! I drove an odd car, Mercury Sable. So, they knew to step back when we came down the ramp. Lol
At any rate, I don't care to be bothered, particularly about dumb, redundant sh*t, so 1st thing I'd do is be very nondescript and drop that thing (to fall under 6 feet, like a 10k+ pound low rider) whenever parked.
I'm also paranoid about fire/CO2 poisoning, so I'd need fire suppression/CO2 detection right off, and lots of doors/windows you can easily pop open from the inside in case of emergency.
I never forget those 9 women at the engagement party in a limo that caught fire on a bridge and they died b/c the fire started at the back. And that's where the doors were. The driver was somehow oblivious, too. It wasn't that big a car, I don't know how you'd miss it.
So, anyone who lived crawled through that tiny plexi window divider...

  • @TheVanderfulLife
    @TheVanderfulLife 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Anyone got ideas, my only issue with the raised seating is the window from the seating area is too low when seating and too high when in bed. But at 11:48 you can see the windows as high as it can go before the ribs so can't really be raised? Maybe I'm just overthinking!

Why not add a recirc system for your shower? They really aren't that difficult to make. -- Progressive filters to drain into a recirc tank and pull from that, if the tank is empty allow it to be filled half way or so.. You can use a digital sensor for how much is there, or you can use a mechanical one or even a aquatic manual variant. Then you can recirc the hot water and take them as long as you have power although keeping the water at temp is a lot less energy than initial heat up. If you only have 1 hotwater heater you can either disassemble and run another sealed line through and split the container and let the recirculation tank heat up - or you can share the tank and empty the sink contents into a sink recirc tank then fill with shower recirc and so on, and do it in such a way that you can drain your lines and the tank and then give it a small flush with fresh and a tiny drop or so of bleach before refilling with sink recirc or fresh... So you can go simple or complex. You can also have just a copper tube circling inside the hotwater heater and use that for the shower recirculation so you really don't need to do anything then the hot water inside the heater will heat that pipe and heat the recirc tank, etc.. The filter system should be good enough that you can drink your shower water - but have a way to drain to a black or gray tank just in case you are cleaning some nasty stuff on you so instead of re-entering stuff into the recirc lines which may or may not enter the hot water heater, throw it out..
You can also have external heaters that attach to a line ( check injection molding supplies )
For my systems, I'm computerizing everything and coding in all different systems so you decide on the type of shower - ie: you or partner who can share water up to x amount of time < configurable > and then flushes it, or if the color doesn't look good it can flush and it can do it during a shower for any person so if the filters are failing you can be alerted, etc.., guest which flushes the recirc through filters and flushes tank, pet which uses your water then flushes the filters and tank -- and then the level of toxicity so hazardous to nature ( drains to blank ), hazardous from nature ( returns to nature depending on where you are or to black - ie: stool from animal, soil, etc.. ), and a few other options... Also a recirc for the sink area because I don't like soaking unless necessary, I like running water.. etc... all from an easy i/o using buttons or touch-screen and if you are repeating it you can just tap a button to prep the shower ( x time to heat up, notified when ready, or if you have it on and heating on way to destination you press button and good to go etc.. )

Where are your clothes and bath supplies? No mention. Also if one of you doesn’t feel well, no place to sit or work...just bed or table. I think you, Or I would need both.

kudos for being able top put all of your clothing in a couple of drawers. the decision to have more cooking space as opposed to a hanging closet is a tru indication of how you designed the van to suit your needs. No AC in FLA? how do you do it?

The thing is a work of art. And an awesome name for it. Question: I want to get a promaster like this, how hard is it changing lanes with the right side blind spot? I am not used to vans.....

Special surprise for anyone who comes closest to guess how many times they say "here". Seriously, its nice build. Not sure about concrete backer and ceramic tiles, but its very attractive.

I would love a relationship like that. Not like those people that say they can't be around eachother much. Weird. Lol

I would not need so much counter opposite the sink. I would have more storage for kitchen and a bigger
    Frig. So, then perfect!

Oh, and hydraulics to drop it so it could fit in a regular garage. (6 feet or under to park on most big city streets)
Not sure it would make it, even at that, tho.
