    Canadian winters are harsh, those windows would be lovely for three seasons, but might be regrettable at -30C in high winds. We lived in our cottage for years with lots of windows, and I consider a home with a lot of windows to be a three season dwelling, after having lived in one in Ontario, Canada.

      I mean good double or triple glaze windows should be fine. Older ones with less planning for thermal bridging are rough though, that's fair

    For my taste, the floor space of the kitchen is very large compared to the living area. I see this in a lot of tiny houses. Prep space is nice, but wouldn't it be more easy to have some sort of foldable counterspace that can be hinged down, or removed otherwise? After cooking you then have a larger living space. Or a smaller tiny house having more or less the same functionality.

      There are Tiny's with less kitchen length, but they also tend to be way shorter and only have loft bedrooms. At the same time I'm very sure that there are builders (prob including this one) that w/b more than happy to work with you to design one exactly the way you want it. If you are serious about it check out different builders, ask a lot of questions, & find one that's a fit for you.

    For the lofted bedroom, it would be better if the walk-in was recessed below so there was near standing room. This would cut into some space below, but worth in my opinion. How it is now requires crawling in that adults 40+ probably wouldn't want to do.

    • @ZeoCyberG
      @ZeoCyberG ปีที่แล้ว +5

      And/or reduce the size of the loft to just the bed. So it's more like getting in and out of bed and you don't need to move over a distance to reach it. Some lowered platforms work around the bed to access both sides with standing space.

I enjoyed seeing the large windows and tall ceilings I think the kitchen cabinet could be lowered and a smaller narrower placed over the sink. I know I couldn't access that microwave the way it is. The downstairs bedroom is a real bonus. Thank you for sharing this tiny home.

Open shelves in the kitchen, pull out pantry. I'd shrink the fridge to make for a larger shower since I can't quite shower standing on one foot; I need a shower bench. 🤷🏼‍♀️

      Yeah, that roof is an odd choice. There is a reason why certain roof types are dominant in certain parts of the world. Even a heavy rain could cause disaster because it has only one direction where the water can flow (I'm guessing here that the middle has a drain, I hope at least). And I didn't even think of the snow.

    I have to admit, this comes across as an advertisement for harmony resorts more than it does a home that somebody actually owns and lives in. The time of showing everybody and anybody's Airbnb may be over. I'm not seeing anything innovative or new from what you have shown before. I guess I'm looking for evolution of design, or perspectives on what makes this better than other designs. It may be that the "Airbnb / rental" tiny house is no longer unusual enough on its own as a topic for so many of these tiny house channels. Some of them are branching out into not so tiny and in fact almost anti-frugal homes. These aren't so much tiny homes as they are tiny hotel rooms for making money by the owners. It's actually counter to the entire tiny house movement, where people actually own a home in a couple of years rather than three decades and have no debt. What's the actual future of tiny homes and people actually living in them? I'm kind of disappointed in the current trend, which only further alienates people from actually owning their own home. Because it's all short-term rental / Airbnb. What's the mission of this channel?

    Very nice home. There's only two things I'd change about it. First put in a smaller width shower and add a place for a small washer dryer combo. Second in the bedroom, I'd turn the bed around ninety degrees. Like in the loft bedroom. Then put a sliding glass doors in. Make the bedroom feel more like a master sweet. With its own private deck area.

    The microwave and cupboards are far too high. Who wants to walk thru a possibly in use bathroom to get to the bedroom or out of it? Why is the extension to the countertop set lower than the countertop? This makes for a two level eating top! It is useless selling these homes without the steps down to the ground from the living area at the back. Who wants to open the door and fall out a couple of feet? Not a well thought out design.

    I always comment honestly and there's a lot of tiny homes that I don't care for and I comment that. I love this one. It has everything that you need. It reminds me of a small apartment. There's so many things that tiny houses lack in the form of comfortable seating or a functioning kitchen for people who actually cook and easy access to a bedroom for people who don't want to have to fall down stairs in the middle of the night. This tiny house addresses so many of those issues that I've had with other homes and it has a great bathroom as well. Great job on the design. Now I wonder who's going to get triggered by this comment because it doesn't match yours? 😂

It would take some getting used to for sure. I always look for a big kitchen and this one is a decent size.

    Pro: I like how this tiny house has been decorated. It is small but seems spacious. The two-tone exterior does blend with the park and overall ambiance of its surroundings. It even has a dishwasher, a full size fridge, and two beds.
    Con: I'm curious why there's a rug in the bathroom. Wouldn't that get wet a lot after you step out of the shower? Although I've seen these type of design before. I don't think it's practical. There is a comment here regarding the right-handed (or footed) stairs. I haven't been to a house with such design but I am left-handed so I don't know if it's going to be a problem. Regardless, there's a main floor bedroom so I'll probably be in that. I feel like this house is designed for rented short-term stay. For a long-term dwelling, you would need lots of storage and in order for this design to look spacious, it had to compromise on those storage. Yes, there are storage but only enough for an airbnb-type of residence.

    The best thing -I would say as a resident of Southeast Asia- is that these tiny houses have NO curtain, NO door grill and NO window grill, which adds to its aesthetics. That’s the beauty of living in countries with relatively low crime rates. Right?

    I like this model. there's just a few little things like raising the extention of the kit countier to be the same level. and just one comment. If you could put a person that does not sing their comments would be very nice.
