    Thank you so much for this video.
    One of the only ones who actually says the flow path of the lines which is one of the hardest bits of info to find!

    Hahaha the added realism with shooting the throttle arm into oil made this video

    Thanks for the video! I wish I saw this before I disassembled my chainsaw trying to figure out how to replace the fuel line and filter. Ha ha! Very helpful.

      As I was reassembling my PP3516 chainsaw, I had some left over parts?! I found a 1/2 inch shear pin on my workbench under the chainsaw. Any idea where this part would have come from? I have found the exploded views of the engine, but did not find a shear pin.

      @@Luv2flyMD there are no shear pins in this chainsaw.

    Can you please tell me how deep in to tank should be return line (smaller one)? Same as line with filter or shorter?

    • @smallengineguys

      Just insidefine.fine.

      Ok. Thank you. You mean top of the tank is fine? Doesn't need to touch bottom.

      @smallengineguys  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yep just a return

    I watched your video again and followed along replacing the fuel lines, fuel filter, air filter and new carburetor. Got everything back together and it started after several years in the barn. After it started, I adjusted the idle but when I pulled the trigger, the chainsaw would not rev up and stayed at idle. I double checked carburetor and all components are put on correctly. The carb opens and closes correctly but cannot increase the speed of the engine or get the chain to move. Any suggestions please? Thank you!

      the air fuel mixture screw closest to the air filter needs to be turned out counter clockwise. go a quarter turn at a time till it stops bogging then fine tune at full throttle. you may need to replace the carb but it is worth a try. here is the carb tool amzn.to/3dtVGUY

      Can you do a video on how to make L & H adjustments. Fried used mine and messed up adjustments.

    • @smallengineguys
      @smallengineguys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kldodson 1 full turn out on both to start. Same rules for any 2 stroke. Most of the time adjusting the carb wont work. Usually it needs carb and fuel line. I do 20 saws a week 1 of those is a simple adjustment.

    Will the carb and tune up kit from amazon you have listed fit the PP3516AVX?

    • @smallengineguys

      Yes

    • @374southernvt
      @374southernvt ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok. Some of my research is saying I will have to get a different air filter than the one that comes with the kit. Is that so?

    • @smallengineguys
      @smallengineguys  ปีที่แล้ว

      possible. yours is probably cleanable anyways
      just blow it out with air. if its white fabric type use a can of carb cleaner then dry.
