My parents stayed together their whole life, it was horrible, so much drama, so much tension, I would literally have panic attacks because these 2 wouldn't stop fighting.
I divorced my husband we never went to court, always co-parenting peacefully, my son never witnessed a fight between us. To this day we have remained civil and friendly with each other . I have his back and he has mine, no romance whatsoever I still visit him, his wife, new baby and my in-laws and we get on great. He was meant to be my friend, not my husband I guess. It's a shame for my son that his parents didn't stay together but imo it's still better that we separated and kept respectful always towards each other and our son our number 1 priority.

I'm on marriage #2 (29 years now)--we don't argue much, because there's nothing to argue about. My ex left me, and I am so glad that I was able to make it on my own without help. It’s awful that it’s taken so long for people to recognise the seriousness of DV against men. Yes people did laugh it off. And when you think of the difference between male and female self-unaliving to attempt to use YT language, although we know how much harder it can be for men to talk about their problems, I feel haunted when I wonder how many of them were trapped in an abusive marriage or even bumped off by a wife in the days before DNA? When police probably fell for women who could easily appear vulnerable? In fairness a couple of the guys were behaving really badly too, where the women were underplaying how much fear they were feeling for their family and friends (like the guy who threatened to kill the woman’s pastor,) and that was sort of laughed off too. It’s quite triggering (in the literal sense, as in PTSD/CPTSD,) to remind ourselves what living through those times was actually like and the sexism that went both ways - as well as the assumptions, distasteful jokes and narrow mindedness depending on where and how you grew up. I must admit my stomach is in knots after watching this one, the seriousness of what was going on in all the cases on the stage would be considered too dangerous to televise now - they all need to run! I just hope they all broke up after this aired 🙏🏼🙏🏼 It doesn’t take long for this kind of behaviour to escalate to potentially fatal proportions every time a new boundary is broken.

I can see why. There’s so much man bashing and lack of holding women’s feet to the fire.
