And when you think of the difference between male and female self-unaliving to attempt to use YT language, although we know how much harder it can be for men to talk about their problems, I feel haunted when I wonder how many of them were trapped in an abusive marriage or even bumped off by a wife in the days before DNA? A bunch of people who willingly entered a situation they knew was bad. I don't feel sorry for any of them. I only feel bad for the kids. Then they wonder why this exact generation are cutting off their parents and going no contact now. These pple are ridiculous and have no self-respect. And the guy saying 17 isn't a baby needs to be investigated.
Going through this right now with a man I have been with for 10yrs but thankfully we are not married we just have a kid together and every time I want to leave he asks her to pick a parent and tells her that I am breaking up the family. He is mentally draining to everyone and is always starting fights in front of our kiddo I tell him I don’t want to do this in front of her but he always says she’s part of this family too and needs to see us fight. She is 6 and it frustrates me that he dosnt care. Iv tried locking myself in rooms to stop the fighting but he has removed the locks.

Angel's hair is a whole mood
The audience member who admits that she only somewhat loves her husband shouldn't speak.
That was very valuable insight... she was from a generation that used to just work ish out for the kidz wasnt so selfish... modern day women think everything is about happiness
@@And1one757 so why she was criticizing Patti 😂
Right, she added nothing to the conversation lol😂
@@And1one757 how DARE modern women want happiness and a loving relationship! 🙄
@@MidnightSonnethow's that goin?
I wonder where they are nowwwww. I wanna knowww
I missed the 90s but some of these shows I wish they had an update. As it's well over 32 33 years later and in some cases 25 years later😢 if somebody don't want to be with you you should go ahead and leave immediately
I miss the Ricki Lake show 😂 It was so entertaining.
I don't even know were to start from. Most of the people get married for wrong reasons. These relationships are all toxic.Stay single,do you until you find someone that will treat you right and reciprocate. These were the 90's but now it's worse.Stay strong kings and queens and enjoy yourselves period❤.
Lady Audience member in the red blouse and vest was on point- “broken home” excuse over separation and a healthier childhood for the kids.
The alternative to marrying another person when you DO NOT LOVE the person is hell on earth ...so make DIVORCE YOUR OPTION.
But she doesn't understand the damage it will cause to her children.
It’s not about women do this and men do that, it’s about emotional maturity.
Great comment!
Patty is the problem💯
“She’d take half my business”
“Excuse me don’t you think she deserves half?” It’s a little crazy how back then we’d openly say stuff like this
Lol whats new....
Rex's points all seemed valid and he sounded ahead of his time.
@@toprightchannel3080 I agree. There’s no reason she should automatically just take everything 🤦🏼♀️ Shame on Ricki for saying it like that
@tahneeyuh3382 half is not everything if she indeed helped to set up the business. Why he never valued that?
that woman's hair at 24:58 is certainly something! OMG.
OMG LOL
🐩
A bunch of people who willingly entered a situation they knew was bad. I don't feel sorry for any of them. I only feel bad for the kids. Then they wonder why this exact generation are cutting off their parents and going no contact now. These pple are ridiculous and have no self-respect. And the guy saying 17 isn't a baby needs to be investigated.
We need a 'where are they now?' follow up.
I miss the days of corney talk shows during the day 😭😭😭😂😆
The first guy isn’t cheating? Yea, right…
The 90’s nostalgia! ❤ I remember watching Ricky Lake after school some days.😂
The first couple as soon as those kids are 18 she is gonna be broke and alone.
This account is an internet gem! Thank you! 💎
The kids eventually grow up....now what?!
RICKI LAKE TALK SHOW: 90’s:
Ricki Lake has the grooviest theme show opening 🎵 🎼 🎶 love the drums and that funky bass guitar!
mom used to watch tf out this show ... she left my pops in '98
I can see why. There’s so much man bashing and lack of holding women’s feet to the fire.
Trust love communication is important in a marriage a deaf ear helps and a big syomach to stomach it all helps
Back when women tolerated and settled for marriage out of fear of judgement from society
Out of fear of being labeled a spinster or old maid.
@@DinaMule also before narcissism was understood
Going through this right now with a man I have been with for 10yrs but thankfully we are not married we just have a kid together and every time I want to leave he asks her to pick a parent and tells her that I am breaking up the family. He is mentally draining to everyone and is always starting fights in front of our kiddo I tell him I don’t want to do this in front of her but he always says she’s part of this family too and needs to see us fight. She is 6 and it frustrates me that he dosnt care. Iv tried locking myself in rooms to stop the fighting but he has removed the locks.
Run away from him for your daughter
why did they air out their business out like that omg😂
My husband and I have been married 5 years and have never had an argument
Im 67 and still with my first and only husband. No marriage is perfect. Thats how it is. Its not a never ending fairy tale.
Never a fairytale… but do you hate him? Are you as toxic as they are?
There is no love between them.
Girl, if you think your marriage is like this then you need to get out. There is absolutely no credit to staying in an abusive situation
Dont listen to these modern feminists. Most modern women are not willing to fight for their marriage. This generation is screwed
Dude I miss these days so much! This is when America was great!!
Definitely brings back memories!
Raising children with a man you declare you hate is toxic for the kids
Oh my goodness none of those people on stage need to be married and it’s even worse in the current time we are living in.
Rex was a good looking man. No way he was faithful to a wife who hates him and in a loveless marriage.
It’s a little concerning that the black woman said that her husband was going to be the death of her and then right after admitted to them being violent towards each other. I wonder where they are now.
True
Had better topics and conversations back then and people weren’t cancelled! Miss it!
The first couple is actually a very realistic marriage
I remembered when I was younger I always wanted to be a stay at home parent but say things don’t work out, I won’t have anything for myself.
Why did Patty and Rex get married to begin with?
Exactly 🙄🤣🤣
Love love love these older shows ❤
32:28 this dude over here thinkin “this mf right” 😭😭
We need an update on these people!! (I’m sure they’re divorced but I still wanna know lol)
So patti Is the abuser I see. Rex sweeping it under the rug . Both alittle slow
