Sam,FYI,I was born in 1943 a petrol head all my life loved every thing about it,two years ago gave up caravanning towing with a Land Cruiser 100 series diesel turbo 350,000klms later i have to say what an amazing car, bought a Tesla Y 2022 RWD this car makes every other car pail into insignificance, saved over $2,000 in fuel no maintenance,no anxiety have done long trips, and WA doesn’t have full charger service yet WOW i am HAPPY,all the best from Perth 👌👌👌👌👌
E continua a rebocar a caravana?????
So you're telling me a trip into the outback where even seasoned ausis die if stranded would be no concern for you in the Tesla.
Good luck with that.
@@squishedfrog99-gp4qq It’s called being prepared for that possibility no matter What vehicle you drive; such as an emergency transmitter and lots of water etc. etc. You are actually more likely to make it back if you can charge a Tesla with solar panels! No way to fix a broken down motor or fuel pump or if you simply ran low on fuel because of a leak etc. etc. Your argument is full of holes.
@@RandyP-jr1ek are you kidding? Charge with solar panels. How many hours or days would that take? You are well and truly lost to the EV 🦄 if you want to trust your life to a computer on wheels that hates very high temperatures. Battery and software are at severe risk.
Nothing like a good old diesel engine to get you out of trouble.
@@squishedfrog99-gp4qq Been there, done that in my Tesla Model Y.
I tried to talk my son out of buying a Tesla then I went on a test drive. He put order in for a Model 3 and I put my ICE car up for sale to buy one 😂. The performance of the dual motor instantly sold me.
Way to use your brain .
I can vouch for that, having owned a Tesla for over 3 years, everything pales in comparison.
Wait till the warranty expires. Then you'll change your mind😵💫😵💫
Wait for the warranty to expire. You'll change your mind😵💫😵💫
How would you know? How many other EV'S have you owned?
My Model 3 warranty has been up for 57000 miles. So far, so good. I have 25000 fewer miles on my GM SUV and have more problems. Teslas aren't perfect, but I will buy more.
@@Markcain268 I have tried most European EV's and they are a long way behind Tesla.
There is a reason why Tesla sells a lot more than the Legacy Car industry and that is they are way ahead, they should be they have been doing it for over a decade
I just bought a used 2020 model 3 with only 7K miles I have auto boost and advanced auto pilot and I am blow away. Amazing product. Seems like they thought of everything.
Wife and I had a Forester and a Picanto. Had never bought a new car ever between us.
Sold the forester, got a band new Model 3.
Months later got a brand new Atto 3. Only reason we got BYD and not a Model Y is the cost difference. Model Y might have stretched us a little more than we would like.
Even now we still want the Model Y LOL
In europe the same brandloyalty for Tesla is top of the bill!
My friend bought a Model S in 2012, he still LOVES that car. No problems at all, it appears to be in great shape. I don't know the mileage, never thought to ask him. I don't think you could get him to sell you that car, not that he needs the money. My next car will be either a Tesla Model Y or Model 3. I'll probably treat myself to FSD, just for the fun of it. Cheers Viking.
On X, Stephen King often mentions his daily driver - a 2013 Model S: no need for a new car...
After ten years I just sold my 2013 model S to my son. Drives perfectly. I did change the infotainment system twice in 10 years. Once every five years. Still gets 230miles per charge.
I can never go back to ICE, EV’s changed everything for me after being a registered dealer driving all forms of sports car I just can’t ever switch back
Can see why. There is something about the Tesla driving and ownership experience that creates loyalty.
dont mistake loyalty with royalty.
Don’t mistake “royalty” with loyalty.

One, once you become a BEV owner from ICEV, you never go back, or hardly ever. I'm an ID3 owner of 3 years. It's a really good car. My nephew has a TM3 LR. He absolutely adores it. And I can see why. Above all the performance, the techie stuff and Supercharging, there's something extra. I'm not sure even Tesla owners know what it is, but it's certainly there.
I was a big Honda fan, owned several Civics, now Tesla only and I def won't be going back. People that haven't made the switch just don't know how good we have it. Like for reals, they have zero clue, even my friends don't know any better.
I really do look forward to buying a Tesla. I've had a few opportunities but I keep seeming to buy shares in Tesla. I will get there mind, crap the price just dropped, time to buy some more.

Ho hum indeed, you’ve clearly never driven one.
I changed my Audi S4 for a Tesla Model 3 and i have been extremely happy with it. I don’t like all things Tesla is doing, such as taking away parking sensors, bad wipers , removing radar from FSD before FSD works and no HUD. Now the FSD has become extremely nagging and will baryou from use for a week😮. FSD has clearly been oversold and over promised! However, despite all this I doubt I will ever change to another brand. At least now anytime soon. Its a great car.
The nagging is courtesy ot NHTSA not Tesla. But it will watch your face and keep you from falling to sleep. Lives saved right there.
Do you have FSD 12.3 ?
Don’t you like it?

Ok, so I grew up loving the sound and performance of a nicely tuned V8 - you know, Sprint Cars, Nascar cars. Loved the sound! Heck, even if a muffler fell off of the V8 on the street, it still sounded great. Fast forward to 2021 when I bought my Model Y Long Range. I wasn't sure if going electric was going to be ok for me so I kept my gas-powered vehicle. In the course of about a month, I realized I wasn't driving the gas vehicle much at all. Ending up selling it. Charging at home still makes me smile. Legacy auto has way more experience building cars, but Tesla has way more experience building electric cars. That makes a big difference for me and in my mind, makes Tesla my top choice. That and the experience I've had with the first Model Y led me to add another Model Y to my garage. I have no intention of going back to internal combustion. I do miss the sound of a V8, but I can cope. :-)
I just bought a Tesla model 3 (highland). Will be delivered in a couple of days.

Yes I totally agree, I might be a bit bias since I own one. I never want to back to a ICE car.
After getting my model 3 I couldn't imagine dealing with any other brand or dealer
True for me. I bought 3 Toyota Corrollas now, it's two Teslas.
My 2018 tesla model 3 sucks after the warranty! Everything is going wrong with it. New pcs, 2 new 12v batteries, front passenger seat sensor warning, new charge port and charging port wiring harness, new charging cable. Wtf tesla! So yeah I will def look at other EVs other than tesla this year
You are one of rare people under this video that own a Tesla and going elsewhere for your next vehicle.

I leased for the past 3 years an Audi S5 coupe that I love. Yet as ICE cars must go, I test drove a Tesla Model 3 and I was blown away by how much more technologically advanced and exciting the Teslas are. They are also competitively priced these days. Can’t wait to take delivery next month
What other car manufacturers offer upgrades for cars that are long out of warranty? Like MCU and CCS upgrades for the Model S. Sure, the owner has to pay, but it makes the cars pretty much up to date with current models. It's awesome!

Over the air updates continuously improve my Model 3. I was already very happy with it, but it’s so amazing that every few months some new feature is introduced that makes it even better!
I am currently on our 4th Tesla vehicle starting with the 2012 Model S, and am currently placing order for refreshed M3 Highland to replace my wife's 2018 M3, and also have CT on order for ~4 years now. I am totally on board and will be Tesla owner for life. Best vehicle I have ever owned and completely satisfied customer! We charge our two Tesla vehicles off our solar powered roof and have not been to a gas station in over 12 years. Completely done with all ICE vehicles. Once you drive electric, especially Tesla there is no going back!
This is true. We have to swap out our M3 performance and although we looked at a few other options, we couldn't bring ourselves to risk having a second rate EV that doesn't have its own charging network/over the air updates/hardly ever needs servicing. About to order M3 highland and can't wait to get it
Those who haven't driven Tesla don't know, those that have do. Edge cases aside its not loyalty its driver experience, its so easy driving Tesla and with FSD coming like freight train ill stick with my 7 year old spaceship thanks, commonly referred to as the Model X, its fuckn unbelievable and getting better with each software update. To the moon 🎉
For EVs at least a big factor in favour of Tesla is their charging network. Be interesting to see how that affects things or not, with fast chargers becoming far more common. Over the air updates are being used by other manufacturers, though maybe not as effectively as Tesla yet. I'd love to see the loyalty figures for somewhere like Scandinavian countries where EVs have very high penetration and there's multiple extensive charging networks.
Tesla car is much bigger that the sum of it's parts. They nailed the Customer Experience... not just the 0-60 speed... from using cell phone as key, Sentry mode, watching Netflix/TH-cam w large screen, large supercharger network, dog mode, cameras all over, remote real time control of your car (turn on aircon, etc.), remote location on where my kids are at and auto drive and software upgrades that make my Tesla feel new - this is from a big Toyota and BMW fanboy for over 15 years
We started buying Tesla's 10 years ago and we are totally happy. And the ONLY repair has been tires that it it.
Brand loyalty was born out of reliability! They rarely broke down! You could fix them easily they were cheap to DIY
Then cars got complicated but the loyalty didn't fade as quick!

New and all i have replaced are tires.
I bought a Model Y, 3 months later my wife sold her two year old Acura MDX and got a Model 3. We will buy Tesla's from now on. I pull motorcycle trailers 12 times a summer and take 2 trips a winter from Michigan to South Florida and love the way a Tesla works for long trips

I am saving tons of money on gas and maintenance. I don’t need to deal with dealers nonsense. 8 years/120,000 miles warranty. You can extend it to 2 more years for $2000. So 10 years all good. If your battery or motor have issues, after 10 years battery prices will be significantly reduced as new technologies come There are some rare incidents. But majority of the cars can go way beyond the warranty period. Those talk nonsense about an EV, either never drove one or bought a crappy electric car. But a Tesla and you will love it. I traded in my BMW to get this Tesla
I’m an owner of a Nissan LEAF, then Hyundai Kona, before getting my Tesla Model 3. Before those EVs I had a Subaru, Toyota, Toyota, Holden and then Skoda.
And yes, my next car will probably be another Tesla. Best car I ever owned, even with its little quirks and minor failures.
I agree Sam. I bought my first Tesla last (US) summer. I wasn't ready to go all out for a new one, so I bought a 2019 Model 3 LR. I kept my SAAB wagon in case I ended up not liking the Tesla that much. For me, the revelation came with the OTA update to the cameras. Before the update, the cameras were usable, but the colors were off, and they were a little fuzzy. After the update, the colors are right, and the pictures are crisp and clear. Free, on a car that was four years old and out of warranty. I cannot see me buying anything else.
We just got FSD 12 beta yesterday in our 2024 MYLR. It is "mind blowing" as Elon said. When comes to Tesla, will never buy any other car brand. Many reasons. We used to have 2016 Model S 75, recently upgraded to 2020 Model S LR and this 2024 Model Y is upgrade from 2021 Model Y. My first EV was 2015 BMW i3.
As an ex software developer, I NEVER asked my beta testers to PAY for buggy software, let alone $15,000 for it !!!
@@greghudson9717 Well, we got it for free.
After five years driving Tesla and ready for an update, I’ve tested a number of other EVs. Just can’t deal with the cockpit clutter. Knobs, dials, vents etc that just are not necessary and only distract the driver. The simplicity and cleanliness of the Tesla interior does it for me.
We have had EVs for about 8 years now. Currently 2 Teslas. Though I love them, I’d still like a ‘NICE’ ICE car just for something different. Weekends? Etc. Does get a bit boring having the same thing over and over.
I am currently in porcess of waiting for my new Tesla Model 3. Old one was far too rough as i have a neck injury. The build, smoothness and quality of the new one was so far ahaed of other EV's I was looking at. They were all good cars, but I then realised the Tesla was Fantastic. Weirdly it was cheaper by almost £5000 than the other cars I was looking at in the UK. This is great news to hear, thanjs Sam.
I have a regular 40km run to our warehouse and back home in our Model Y RWD 5 or 6 times a week. I often try to maximise efficiency by drafting behind trucks etc and going easy on the go pedal. My best result over summer for the 40km run was 9.1 kWh/100. Our average energy consumption over the 37k kms is 13.0 kWh/100. Couldn't be happier.
It's just a bit of fun to see how efficient it can get.@@Markcain268

As my friend said when he bought his first tesla, ''this car is from the future''
Great news Sam
The same can be said for any brand of car that people buy and go back to.
It could also be said some people will NOT buy a Tesla and WILL buy something else.
I'm a 5 year Tesla S owner here - I love this car like you can't believe but what I don't like is the tablet automation for most controls. I got "used to it" like I got used to Brussels's Sprouts (my wife loves them - yuck), but I don't like the automation. If Tesla doesn't put proper turn signal stalks back in the S when it's time for me to buy a new one, I will be buying a Mach E next (if and when it gets an LFP pack). I had a Mach E for two weeks when my S was in the shop for collision repair, and I loved it. It's not as fast as my S, but the ride, handling, and NVH are exemplary. Pay attention Tesla!!
Try using voice commands in your S. You really can do almost everything with voice commands.
@@bobbiehoward780 Sigh.. I have. If I want to adjust the heat, I have to push a button and wait a second (if you speak too quickly, it doesn't get it). Then I have to ask it to raise or lower the heat a certain percentage and then see if it's what i want. If not, I have to repeat the process. On really cold days, I just take my old Explorer because it has two big round knobs - one for fan, one for temp. I can reach over without looking and tweak the temp on the fly. Because I am particularly sensitive with cold, I constantly adjust temp as I drive. I get that automation the way things are moving - even new Ford Explorers are the same way, I just think automation is a big step backwards, and while I am "used" to it, I will never own a car without a turn signal stalk.
We are on our second Model Y but am thinking of moving UP to an S, but waiting for the next refresh of the S.
Morning mate
I have a Tesla model 3 dual motor and as expected I'm very satisfied. But I placed a preorder for my next EV which is an MG Cyberster slated for delivery in July. Tesla has the Roadster in planning but it will be like 400% higher in price and if imported where I live would be like 700% higher. MG (SAIC) is creating some very nice high quality cars with good value. Test drove the Cyberster (at the Bangkok Motorshow for order holders). It looks really exciting and fun. 🤞
A few decades ago Honda owners were the most loyal.
In 1970 GM had some 60% of US market, lol.
What makes you believe that they are no longer loyal? Your crystal ball?

Sam, I would happily buy a BYD if its was available to me, or at least consider it. But, right now, Tesla is the only real game in town and so I am stuck with Tesla. Don't get me wrong - I love my Model 3. But I think that more and better EVs (at less cost) are coming down the pike. I will not ever buy an ICE again, however.
Horrible Insurance Costs in NY and resale price sinks like a stone in water in NY as well.
I had a TM3LR. Insurance went from £478 to about £3K. Happy with my 64kWh Hyundai Kona as insurance reasonable and servicing is 2 miles away not 60.
We are still paying $90 per month in Canada. Cheaper than our ml320 that we threw away.
In the UK the dividing like may come over those who have home charging or not. In a survey those who had switched to EV and said they would never go back to ICE were asked one final question: what would they do if they had to only use public charging? Almost without exception they said in that case they would actually go back to ICE.
My model 3 is almost 2 years old, there’s nothing better. Wife and me both 73 yrs old have put 47,000 mi on it. People say you can’t take trips in it, that it takes over an hour to charge while you’re stuck waiting. Amazing how people with no experience will accept anything on media with no experience of their own, as if they know what they’re talking about. Great car, total cost of ownership much less than other vehicles.
True, I have a Tesla Model Y, never go back to ICE, and very likely my next car will be a Tesla again.
Never going back, the only cars that could make me trade in my Tesla Model Y are the Cybertruck with its 4 wheel turning nimbleness or the future Model 2, with its shorter wheelbase, both of which could make it easier for me to park in my allocated cramped car bay in the basement of my Unit in the apartment building. Both seem a long time away to come to Australia.

Bought a TM3 in 2019 and by 2022 I was dying to get rid of it. It is the new Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. Can't drive 2 miles without seeing 8 of them all on the same color. Actually went back to a gas car for fast long trips. Bought Ioniq 5nas well and it is so comforting to have a solid car with physical controls. EA isnt the greatest, but many other charger networks to choose from so not so bad
I drive 40k miles annually, and spend ten times less in fuel costs…..less than $600 vs more than $6000 is a no brainer…..plus brake jobs, 8 x oil changes…..you’re spending $8-9k to run an ice car, but folks have gotten so used to the status quo, that they don’t known how to accept a better cheaper alternative….and yeah an 8 year unlimited mile drive unit/battery warranty is a nice perk to have.
Look into how much warranty work GM does on their vehicles and that will tell you the quality of their product
I have a model s and am awaiting my cybertruck. That said, I am still a gearhead and enjoy classic cars. It’s like having an Apple Watch and still appreciating the craftsmanship of pocket watches.
Same here. When I travel, I wish there were more EVs to rent
Dealers. They are not as bad outside the USA but here not having to ever go back into a dealer to buy or for service then add never going into a gas station is such a huge plus. Dealers are the reason that the other makes are struggling with EVs.
I bought a 2023 Tesla model 3 and knew after the first month I couldn't live with this car. I lost my shirt trading in the vehicle , but it was the only sane option for me. I purchased the IONIQ 5 which is better by a country mile.
The biggest challenge Tesla has right now is they don’t have enough affordable models, as well as battery production. Model 2 has been very slow to come to market. Once it does, it will be lights out as long as they ramp up battery production quickly.
ive bought 4 tesla since 2018 and have cybertruck on the way. i may also order the new model 3 refresh
I drove a second generation Chevy Volt for 6 years before buying a Tesla Model 3 Performance with Full Self Driving a year ago. I somewhat felt this way because of the Volt but especially since driving the Tesla, it's unpleasant any time I walk by an idling gas car. I have some old sports cars that I like to drive sometimes but there's no way that I'll ever want a gas car for my daily car anymore. Considering how far ahead Tesla is, I'm likely to keep buying Teslas too.
True
According to a 2023 study by S&P Global Mobility, 20% of Tesla owners sell their vehicles and switch back to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, excluding Tesla owners. The study also found that nearly half of households with non-Tesla EVs will buy an ICE vehicle next, with the most common reasons being pricing, infrastructure, and range anxiety. Other consumers may prefer to have an ICE or hybrid vehicle as a backup plan
Well Sam it looks like you hit another nerve because the trolls sure are agitated!! 😅😅😅😅. We've owned nothing but Hondas and Toyotas for 40 plus years and loved them, we thought we had already experienced Automotive Excellence. Our first experience with Tesla was transformative and we would never go back to an ICE vehicle. Tesla is not perfect, least of all their CEO and there are occasional problems, but they do get fixed, quickly, and for reasonable money. We've had to replace a couple of charging port doors over 6 years on both cars, some other minor stuff, but the cars just keep chugging along never fail to get going when we need to get going, and are incredibly economical to operate since we have both solar and free unlimited supercharging. Plus they're a blast - most fun cars we have ever driven and that includes some Exotics and Porsches and corvettes. We could never imagine owning anything other than a Tesla.
Yep Sam the Troll baiter brilliant though the trolls could do with getting some new material their ‘arguments’ are getting pretty stale , but that didn’t stop me from baiting a couple of them back 😁
Ive driven one since 2021. My lease is up in Sept so Im considering my next move and I keep coming back to how little maintenance is required. I hate going to these scam ICE dealerships. It’s worse than the dentist. I’ve made a few trips to a dealership to look at a few models and the immediate feeling of annoying salesperson who wont go away is an immediate turn off.
Havng just traded in our old Toyota Venza for a new Model Y, which joins the Model 3 in our garage, I can attest to the brilliance of these cars. Living on the Wet Coast of Canada, I can also attest that the auto wipers are awful...
minimalism: less part, less stuff to broken.
I wanted to go electric about four years ago but had a reluctantance to go with Tesla. I owned an MG zs, then a Hyundai kona ev and then an audi etron (all second hand) I kept changing cars because they were a nighmare to live with. It was either go back to petrol or finally try a Tesla. I bought a second hand model 3 with 50,000 miles on it about 6 months ago amd its been a pleasure to live with. I drove from London to Newcastle recently and it was effortless. The software conbined with the charging network make it simple. They've thought about everything the customer would want. I would never go back to petrol or want another brand of ev.
I recently sat in one of my customers (I'm a barber) brand new mercedes EQE . It already felt outdated. The software is Jurassic and this was a 98k car. From what I've seen and experienced with other ev's I think Tesla will be the last man standing in years to come.
Tesla - pull up to curb, open door and walk away, and forget to kill motor of my 2nd car (CX5) when I do same - Tesla kind of ‘Car 2.0’.
I guess I bucked the trend. Got rid after 10 months.
Also has Tesla been out enough to even count for this people keep cars for up to like 15 years.
I have two Teslas and will be getting another one when my kid gets her license!
I surprised my wife with a MYLR this Jan and it's an amazing car. Hard to describe but once you experience a Tesla, you just don't want to go back to an ICE car. I will trade mine in for a Tesla in the near future.
Tesla is a good product with a great charging network that compels people to repurchase. I see some great cars promised for release in the next year or so that could sway a few people to buy but without access to Tesla superchargers I just wouldn't leave Sydney as there are no alternatives you can depend on with enough chargers to guarantee a smooth trip.
Driving experience, better than most.
Software, not just over the air updates but the autopilot is far better and on what Sam pointed out; Tesla keeps updating a purchased vehicle to better specifications that wasn’t available at time of purchase and at no extra cost.
Our household is on it's 3rd Tesla. So I full agree.
I bought Volvo EX30 and could not be happier🎉
so true, once u go tesla u never go back. getting my second tesla tomorrow. have other ev's, love the rivian r1s and the lightning too, but none has fsd like tesla does.
As a 3 and a half year Model 3 owner, I wouldn’t consider any other brand electric vehicle, much less any gas/petrol vehicle. Most cars have great build quality and bells and whistles, but Tesla makes the best tech, most reliable and easy to use software, and the most reliable and efficient electric powertrains. Anyone else in this world is free to drive anything at all that they prefer, but that’s my choice…
Had my 1st tesla 12 weeks, can’t see myself going back to any other car.
Also cheap services 100 bucks or less a year
Why should I buy the same car as so many others on the road, not good looking outside and nothing inside. A big NO
Amazing cars
I can honestly say after buying my Y and test driving a new 3. I will definitely be getting another Tesla when it’s time
I did hear that from a professor, who said once he bought a Tesla, he would never own anything but one I truly agree with that, but once you step into a polestar you’ll forget all about Tesla
We’re talking about in America
I've drove the PS2 before buying my model 3. The 3 is a much superior car. The PS2 was slower, heavier, less efficient, less real range, poorer cabin ergonomics, much less storage despite the hatch, much worse software, still has the transmission hump down the middle, has no access to the supercharger network and to top it off they wanted $17k more like for like v the Model 3. No wonder they hardly sell any.
