The Best Air Fryer On Amazon - Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Review Af300uk / af400uk

  • The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone is the biggest-selling air fryer on Amazon UK, but what's it actually like to use? This is an honest review, I purchased this Ninja Foodi airfryer on Amazon UK (it was a warehouse deal)
** WATCH my video comparing the AF300 (this air fryer) with the larger version, the AF400 • Which Ninja Air Fryer ... **
I've put it to the test for the last three weeks cooking loads of different food (chicken breasts, roast potatoes, hash browns, cookies, chips, fish pie, fish cakes, pain au chocolate and frozen pastries) and trying all the settings like dehydrate, reheat and roast.
I'll also answer some popular questions about air fryers, such as whether you need to buy an air fryer cookbook, or learn a whole new way of cooking. Whether air fryers are worth the money and if they are big enough to cook for a family of 4.

Bought the 400 last week and just wow, starting off simple.
Salmon was amazingly cooked with superb crispy skin.
      Chicken breasts quick and easy.
Burger and chips.... both baskets same time, turned burgers after five minutes and shook chips after five minutes. Another five minutes each and dinner's ready!
Plenty to learn but most impressive and best of all..... low running costs.
Don't be afraid to vary timings etc until you get a proper feel for it.
Tonight I had some risotto heated up in the microwave along with a couple of two day old bread rolls which were looking a bit chewy. Five minutes in the airfrier at 180 and hey Presto, lovely crisp crust and warm soft inside. Butter and eat!
It's the instant readiness of the Ninja which makes it so useable as I wouldn't have bothered turning on our double oven, waiting fifteen minutes for it to heat up, then popping in two rolls.
Remember it's just a small oven, which is faster, cheaper to run and easier to clean. I pop some washing up liquid into the pan/s, top up with warm water and come back ten minutes later to clean out, so no need for a sink full of water.
Fantastic and recommend all day long!

This will be our second one as the first one had a fault on day one, so I’ve been looking at all dual drawer air fryers. I love pain au raisin and it does take 15mins to preheat in our fan oven so would they be about the same time as pain au chocolat In the ninja ? Thanks for the excellent review

I was just thinking, living in Devon in the early 90's the dehydration setting would have been wonderful for the magic mushrooms we used to pick on Exmoor. We used to have to pack them in newspaper, in small quantities and wait for days for them to dry. Where was Ninja then?

Great review. I've been using the Ninja DZ for 8 months now and I have to say that it is a game changer. Single bloke, family grown up and (thankfully) left home 😃. The big oven is redundant as there's nothing that I can't do in the Ninja. Steaks are so easy to do.

I already have a Ninja 9 in 1 as I use slow cooker and steam a lot of food and make yogurts which I can do in this 1 appliance. I have just ordered the Ninja AF400 to go with it so I can cook regular meals at same time as either slow cooking or making yogurt at same time. I got rid of my regular oven and haven't used my hob for 3 months I do almost everything in the Ninja. I love it ❤

This is probably the best concise review on the Ninja dual I’ve seen, a couple things I’ve found that may be of benefit.
I roasted a whole chicken, I used a Meater thermometer, i discovered that the oven temperature runs 20c above the setting, ie, 180c gives me 200c internal temp, this can make a substantial difference on longer cooks, on the 2nd chicken I did I set it to 160c and got the perfect balance of being cooked and brown crispy skin, (on my ninja)
Secondly, the silicon inserts do become unsightly after a few uses, personally we’ve got used to it as they save the draw coating from extra wear, they certainly clean better in the dishwasher.
It’s a proven game changer for us.

    • @CandidClara
      @CandidClara  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Thank you for the comment, that’s all really useful feedback. The silicone inserts are good but can lead to soggy bottoms when baking (and no one wants one of those!)

Hi Clara, great video. You say you love the ease of cleaning the baskets. I got the AF451UK in February & absolutely love it. My only concern is cleaning the fan section as it gets splashed during cooking. I have watched a few videos & am trying to keep it as clean as possible, even considering using a small, hand-held steam cleaner. Any suggestions?

I have to say that so far with ours, poking a cloth around the heat elements has sufficed and I think if and when it needs more it looks like you can unscrew the element to get behind it completely, but I’m not sure if the AF300 and AF451 are identical…

I’ve got a Nija speedi and I love it, but I haven’t used the special meals, program as much as I though I would, I’ve not used my oven once since last March, and the hob I’ve only used to poach a few eggs. I think I could easily take the oven out of the kitchen really, there’s only the 2 of us. So I am now thinking of buying the Nija dual control, because I often cook meat on the bottom plate and juggle the veg or chips on one of the shelves that you use for dehydrating.

The Cosori is parked up under the stairs. We then went out and bought the 15 In One Foodi, so we could get rid of our bulky slow cooker and the Tower pressure cooker. I really did not have anyspace to store another large appliacne. I instead decided to upgrade my toaster oven instead. Also, being able to do larger items like who chickens and steaks was difficult in the Ninja. This might be a considration for others considering this appliacne. THe XLPro comes with two baskets, a pan, and a grill palte that will hold two t-bone steaks side by side.
