      I've got the one draw. I love it. I can get at least a 3 kilo leg of lamb in it. The divider turns it into a dual zone. As for chips a silcone liner that has holes in the bottom you can simply lift it out and get chips out that way.

    • @Julesybabes70
      @Julesybabes70 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed. This would give you the option of the best of both worlds. Use it as one, large, contiguous space for a roast, or split into 2 separate, and individually removable cooking zones.
      I imagine that the small differences in the product sizes means that you cannot efficiently put the dual drawers into the flexdrawer and have the thing work perfectly.
      Did you try this by any chance?

    I bought a flex drawer as I wanted to be able to bake in it. It bakes a large tray of flapjacks much more efficiently than heating a whole oven. I’m delighted with it and have no doubt it will save time and money. Ps it’s easy to stir food that needs to be moved around during cooking.

    We are both retired and delighted with our AF400 dual zone as it's also well capable of cooking a 2lb chicken in a single drawer which serves four.
    So simple to use like an oven, but instantly ready to cook. Even our teenage grandchildren can use it safely.
    One hint is to leave a large trivet in front of it to save you inadvertently resting the "Hot" drawers on your worktop.

    We bought the dual zone just weeks before the Flexi was launched, so we were lucky enough to be able to buy and try the Flexi and return the dual zone. However, it was the flexi that was returned when we discovered, just like you, it was a massive, unwieldy, heavy basket. Ideally, I guess you would have both, but then, as others have pointed out, for larger meals, just use your conventional oven.

Amazon employees have said they have to damage the products beyond repair before throwing them in skips.
      Also most people order online from warehouses these days not the shops. Plus it costs money for people to verify the product is still working fine, undamaged, replace any damaged/missing packaging from when it was opened etc. they don’t just have all that lying around in the shops

    They should make one machine that is compatible with the one large drawer and the two smaller ones. Then you could buy the additional drawers as required. There should also be an internal basket option with clip on handle so you can lift it out to shake or serve chips etc. Having to fish out small items with tongs is a right faff.

    very good review, bigger drawer kind of kills the point of air fryer in my opinion, smaller area of airfryers heats and cooks food quickly saving you time and money but if you need to roast a turkey or big chicken for bigger family than you might as well use the oven below your cooker that you already have and use two shelves to do veg,potatoes etc at the same time , which works out same in time and cost of energy

    From what a friend told me who had the dual then sold it when he got the flex… the flex tray isn’t as high as the dual trays. So if height is something that you need, the dual is the better of the two even though the flex holds more capacity… it’s not as high.

    Just use silicon baskets for the flex when cooking separate things as it will make it easy to shake, taking things out and cleaning up would be just the baskets. Work smarter not harder

    does the flex have a grill feature? I have a ninja foodie grill/air fryer and looking to upgrade. As an older person alone, I can use this exclusive of my oven which really is not very safe (old gas in a rental house). However, I cook several different items all at once and it's challenging with the timing.

    • @fulloffood
      @fulloffood  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, it doesn’t have a grill feature but the air fry function is great at browning things like cheese on toast etc. I think it would be a great machine for you. I’d also suggest looking at the dual though as it has two separate baskets which are easier to shake if cooking different things at the same time. Hope that helps.
