During the opening intro of the Clone Wars Movie, there is a brief scene which shows how the Republic fleet broke through the blockade, you could see at least one Acclamator assault ship is used in the battle.
I love having the clone wars back because I grew up watching it and connecting to the characters. Asoka is a very easy Character to connect with. To be honest I broke my door when I heard it was back I have a hole in my door!
I am just saying don't get your hopes up just yet. It is too early to see if it is going to turn out that way. It happened twice with the Force Awakens and LJ. This could be the third.
Trench likely didn't attack because he knew that Skywalker would attack again, possibly through another fleet that was not yet in the system. Attempting to draw forces away from a defensive position and then attacking with another, usually larger, force is an effective way to break that position. Not attacking a retreating republic fleet also happened at the battle of Ryloth, which then later forced Ahsoka to desperately turn to the Marg Sabl manure. ... ...and also plot armor :P
There are several risks to pursuing retreating ships (as I've seen you recommend a couple of times). Notably, the retreat could be a ploy to either destroy any ships launched in pursuit or to break through the weakened blockade (possibly both). While it does give your enemies a chance to catch their collective breath and form a new strategy, there is absolutely something to be said for keeping your fleet unified and fortified around the objective you know the enemy is going for. And, while a potential flaw in strategy, Trench made an agreement to engage Anakin ship-to-ship (that's why there wasn't a multitude of laser fire). I say potential flaw in strategy because, if Trench had used his full fleet to engage the one stealth ship, Anakin would not have engaged and would instead get back to his objective of delivering relief supplies to the planet surface. He absolutely had a good chance of destroying the stealth ship on his own, so there was no need to put Anakin in what he would understand to be an unwinnable scenario.
I grew up on the clone wars I have watched it 25 times. I'm glad Disney was willing to let Dave filoni finish what him and George started I am so happy to have the characters back and finish the series 💕💕💕

It would seem as though the entire star wars universe learned from a single waterloo incident (where pursuing the routing enemy with a portion of ones army went wrong) and never recovered from it. 1: Trench has left the blockade probably to provoke the Stealth ship to attack him with his Thermal shields Anakin won't do anything to him anyway and Trench can destroy Anakin's ship with his guided missiles only when he turns off his Cloaking Field. If he stayed within the blockade he would risk that the Republic Ship would retreat and potentially attack later in coordination with the rest of the fleet 2: He didn't chase the Republic fleet because it was too risky, potentially he could fall into a trap. If he followed the Republic Fleet, he would have to fight where his enemy wants and not where he wants.

I think trench staying on the defence was a much safer idea, it's easy in hindsight to say "Just attack", but for all he knew the Republic had several more capital ships ready to jump in and didn't want to lose any of his advantages

Im not surprised that Obi-Wan was able to break through. The CIS command structure relied heavily on one single person/droid to oversee an entire flotilla. With Trench and his tactical droid both taken out in the same explosion, the rest of the blockade was probably in total disarray focused more on finding a new commander than the Republic fleet.
I think that you should've mentioned this about the stealth ship: even if Anakin could launch torpedoes without decloaking, doing so would have immediately broadcasted his position, because as soon as they'd appear on the Separatists' scanners, somebody would surely realize that they had been fired by a cloaked ship.

The biggest problem I had with this battle is that only Trenches flagship was devastated, the fact that torpedoes to the bridge shouldn’t have destroyed the ENTIRE dreadnaught Nor did it take into account is what happened with the rest of the Blockade? There was TWO Lucrehulks and 6 and more Munificents that they didn’t engaged, they were severely crippled from just the Providence dreadnaught
I understand where you're coming from by saying Admiral Trench should of been more aggressive to finish off the republic fleet but at the same time he had to of been thinking about possible traps or such that the republic navy may of tried to pulled as he charged at them
I know this video is a month old but I’ve noticed that nobody has corrected you on the fact that one of the Republic supply ships was destroyed before Anakin retreated back to Obi-Wan.
Something came to my mind today: How about comparing energy weapons from various Sci-Fi universes? Put up Warhammer 40k Plasma rifles, Halo's Type-25 DER plasma rifle, Fallout's AER9 Laser Rifle and Star Wars E-11 blaster rifle against each other and compare which one is the best. Think about it.

3:45 the droids probably didn't have the same coordination after trench was gone so it made it easier.
Notice how in TCW show when there stuck on a planet more ships and troops never arrive until they beat the odds and win the fight
