I really like that there is no subtitle when the hosts are speaking, so i can practice my listening. But after one host speaking in mandarin, the other reply on english so if i didn't catch what she means, i can understand what that was after hearing the response in english. 非常好!
i think you should have also explained what 薪水 and 面试 was. i'm a heritage speaker and i had to look up what xinshui was but i understood everything else without the vocab explanation. thanks for the video!
This video is packed with useful sentences and vocabulary. The title doesn't do justice to all the good information. I was expecting only some dialogue and description of first-tier cities. The video has much more and was a nice surprise. Please keep up the great work.
This is my first time know there is a place in China called 呼和浩特. Is there any interesting place to visit or food to eat to recommended in 呼和浩特? Thanks
Hi circleforit, actually, 首都 just means 'capital'. Just like we can talk about the "provincial capital" of a place in English, we can also say 呼和浩特是内蒙古的首都。
why they use "da gao tei, da huo che", I usually hear they said “ zou gao tei, zou hou che" what is different between them? which one will be used normally?
Great lesson, thanks! I wish you would have elaborated more on the second- and third-tier cities since I expected that from the description. Also 一线 should be Yi 1 Xian 4, not yi2 xian4.
@Jerry Woods (ChinesePod) From what I know, the pronunciation indeed changes, but the Pinyin does not. Are there different practices how Chinese is tought? Thanks for the reply. My comment on the content was indeed more a suggestion and I appreciate that it needs to be adapted to suit the level.
Literally only watch this video because im leaving for qingdao lol .i think im barely intermediate lvl lol .idk i independently study so is everywhere ,and my roommates speak too fast with a ugly accent so its hard to inguage them lol

very cool! I like this topic. thanks for sharing .keep good work!
Thanks for your support!
What is the difference between 薪水 and 工资?
The phrase "zhuan gong" at 2:03 is often used in HongKong and Taiwan but not in the Mainland, right?
Is 麻辣锅 the same as 麻辣火锅?
Is there any other word with 差 meaning business trip?
Is 转工 the same as 跳槽?
Can I say 坐飞机 instead of 搭飞机?
Shall I ask if it is correct to say Hu He Hao Te is the 首都 of Nei Meng Gu? I thought 首都 is capital city of the country.
Hi circleforit, actually, 首都 just means 'capital'. Just like we can talk about the "provincial capital" of a place in English, we can also say 呼和浩特是内蒙古的首都。

"转工" means "换工作"? this is the first time I heard that.
This old video is better than the new one's
you can watch more videos.
Your videos are so helpful, thanks!
Thank you!
Fantastic one i like it !!
Thank you!
Can I say 搭公共汽车 meaning to take a bus?
Yes. 搭 can be paired with most public transportation, like bus, underground, train, plane, etc.
These are great, thank you!!
We're glad you liked it!
Thank you for the video...
Thank you too!
8:15 the host said" 文化“ ,could you explain what does that mean?
Culture
Is 去哪儿 the same as 去哪里?
Yes. They are the same.
Really nice!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Is 和 and 跟 the same?
When meaning ‘A and B’, both 和 and 跟 are OK.
If yours intonation has problem be careful with the phrase 搭飞机... Pay attention the first character is the first tone!
I will check and then I tell you... @Jerry Woods (ChinesePod)
It should be "为什么要面试啊" rather than "为什么要面试阿"?
Awesome!
Thank you!
good video. But at 1'42 tone of “一” should be the first not the second. at 2'02" 阿 is incorrect. it should be 啊
Why in the Pinyin 主意 is zhǔ yi, but the pronunciation is zhú yi?
The standard tone is zhu3 yi, but in daily dialogues people often say zhu2 yi. Technically they are both correct.
YES . I HEAR.
We hear you too!
They really just said 打飞机 10:23 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
Great lesson, thanks! I wish you would have elaborated more on the second- and third-tier cities since I expected that from the description. Also 一线 should be Yi 1 Xian 4, not yi2 xian4.
