      Modern Castle Is it worth to buy the 960 or 690 I have a house that is about 1000sq feet and it is 75% hard floor and one medium sized dog.(If you want
      say other models)

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Kostas.-. The 960 is definitely a big upgrade over the 690, especially for large and complex floor plans. However, the 690 is more than capable of handling 1,000 sq. ft.
      What I would suggest is get the 690, use it for a while and see how it's performing. If you find it's a little lacking on your hard floors then add the Braava Jet 240, Roomba's mopping robot. The 690 + 240 combination would be less expensive than the 960, but still offer better cleaning performance in your particular case.
      You can find Braava 240 here - amzn.to/2Smn8Kt

      @SPEED DOMN8TORS GENERAL AUTOMOTIVE If money is no object, go with the Roomba S9+ - amzn.to/2QCkzSU
      If you want to save a little bit and self emptying dust bin isn't as important then go with the S9 - amzn.to/2OBtioD or i7 - amzn.to/3762qni
      They have the same cleaning performance, navigation, and features, only lacking the self emptying dust bin.

    How good is the 675 at returning to it's charger?

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
      It's only when you get into the $500+ range that robots start to get consistently better scoring more like 9/10 and 10/10 in their ability to consistently return to the charger.

    I have a 700 series and always wanted to know the difference between it and the 600 and 800 series.

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To sum up the 600 vs. 800 differences...
      800 has more suction power, dual rubberized brushroll, and better navigation.
      We compare the 690 vs 890 in-depth here - moderncastle.com/vacuum-cleaner-reviews/roomba-690-vs-890/ - if you want even more info.

      @valueStocks 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Modern Castle pretty much the same as 700 series?

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@valueStocks We haven't done any in-depth comparisons to the 700 series, as they seem to be mostly discontinued. But at a high level, yes, the 600 series seems to have largely replaced the 700 as the value positioned Roomba. Many of the features and performance are similar (with some variance depending on the exact model).

    Great review, just ordered the 690, or 696.....I think it's the same but a, different name for Europe? Not sure but it has the exclusion zone unit. A question for you. Will it travel between different rooms all on the same level or might it need a helping hand? I'm not sure if we should close doors and take it to the other room when one is finished or let it just do its thing?....... Also, just subscribed!!

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct. There are a bunch of versions of the Roomba 690 around the world (and even multiple in the US). I'm fairly sure the 696 is one of those versions.
      And yes, it will travel by itself between rooms. You shouldn't need to move it. Just give it time to figure out your floor plan.

    Does the 675 resume at the spot where it left off if it gets interupted for any reason, like having to recharge or if it gets stuck? If not, which model have this feature?

    • @ModernCastle
      @ModernCastle  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't believe it will, no.
