I have one 1986 Cannondale touring bike. Deep blue. But if I could find an affordable Delta V, hard tail, in good shape on craigslist, I'd buy it in a heartbeat..The Delta V frame was so good..
just got my Killer V 900 that, i bought brand new back in 1996 when i was a sophomore at UT, some new tires and an updated handlebar setup, has been waiting patiently in my garage for 5 years sleeping but got the itch again last week and going to get some rides in before i decide to upgrade to something modern! And now TH-cam is pumping my algorithm with tons of nostalgic Cannondale videos!
The early ones were just a modded killer v and the pivot position affected pedalling pretty badly but the active and sl haven't been beaten for single pivot. I did downhills and xc races on my active 80 with alps4 unit. They never bottomed out, or if they did it was unnoticed , and at the time nothing looked like them or handle like them. I likened them to the countach for impact.
I want badly a Super V now!!! I will have it, will be new season "Aventuri pe bicicleta" ride bike. Cheers to all of you! Wow what a great bike Cannondale is. Unique, very very strong. Never broke one, and thats a fact! Greetings from Arad, Romania!
Jah bless whoever put this together I feel like a teenager discovering mtb racing for the first time again.
I have a 9 delta v 600 that I converted to disc brakes and placed a lefty ELO on. It’s a wicked cool ride.

Still rocking a 1993 Cannondale R500 with Aerospoke wheels and downtube shifters in 2022 -- absolutely love it!
