Oh no, my India series is quickly coming to a close but I still have a couple more to go so keep watching. This is part two of my journey in West Sikkim. ( Continued Part 1: Pelling: th-cam.com/video/Qzf1GyyvyvI/w-d-xo.html) You'll find a lot of things to see near/around Pelling to Yoksum, so check this out. Please remember to Like, Subscribe and Comment. I'd love to hear what you think of Sikkim!
Also, special shout out. Being a travel blogger/TH-camr has its demands; traveling to film and share my solo experiences plays a huge part. GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa thnx 4 vistng N.E India. . .✌✌
This is the best video about Sikkim I have seen in the past 4 days. You're a good Vlogger.
I'm so glad that you decided to stick it out! I always look forward to seeing your videos. GRRRL! :)
Awww +Allison Roorda. You've been totally awesome with your supportive comments!
I recently discovered your channel and I've been binge watching all your videos. You are super inspiring to me as a fellow female traveller, and your videos have helped inspire me to get over my fears and book my first solo trip. Keep doing your thing girl! 😘
Yay! That's awesome Danika! Where is your first trip to?😀
Well, I've travelled to Southeast Asia twice before with family/my fiancee but this time I decided to go solo! I'm going to start in Thailand and go to South Korea as well before flying home! Can't wait!
I love your videos and am so happy to be able to be a part of your support. Your India videos are by far the most used references for me to see where I want to go, what I want to see, how to stay safe, what foods I want to try and so much more. Keep on and stay strong. Much love and aloha!
+Mara N Warm mahalo hugs Mara 🤗 🤗 If I can make it through those odds, you can make it to India ! 😊
Really amazing video, i am a solo traveler from New Delhi and planning to visit sikkim this year.. This video definitely encouraged me.. Good wishes for next trip..
+Saliim Mohammed Welcome fellow soloista!!! Hope you make it out to this region. 🤗
One suggestion for you, please don't GO round call people Chinese we have smaller eyes doesn't mean we are Chinese, speaking through experience
Wow, love the way you're still doing these way off the beaten path tours.I wish you the best of luck with your future travels.
Your one strong girrrl to be going it alone at the places you have gone. I guess I'd sum it up as
"You go girrrltraveler."
Haha. Every once in a while I like to try a destination that hasn't been covered to extensively by guidebooks or travel blogs. Every place has a reason it's special, esp for those who live there.
Plz plz plz don't quit.....you are one of best travel vloggers on TH-cam and these videos on Darjeeling and Sikkim are just magnificent.....I sincerely hope you continue this channel in future overcoming all the difficulties.....
+suvodip chatterjee You changed your pic just when I was getting used to seeing your smiling face. =( Thanks for the well wishes and support. Since you've come onto my channel, I've gotten so much good information from you. You've been a rockstar!
My passion is making videos and helping solo travelers,, but it's a lot of work to be an entrepreneur, grow fans, get my work shared, write blogs, while concentrating on the financial side of supporting my life and finding a way to make more travel content. Often I'm wearing so many hats, I feel burnt out being just one person.
I'll keep plugging along until my wheels fall off. ;)
Oh Thank You Christine.....I understand it is really difficult.....sometimes it is also frustrating....You could probably consider taking up a job for few months then again continue your wanderlust.....You should check out another brilliant American TH-cam Travel Vlogger Gabriel Morris' videos.....he explained in some of his videos on how he affords to travel so much.....He has been travelling for more than two decades......Your channel has already grown so much....very soon you will reach 100K subscribers......I see immense possibilities of growth and success for your channel in the coming years......just don't stop at this point.....upload more and more videos so that your channel becomes self-sustainable......You are an inspiration for many people.....I wish you all the best....
+suvodip chatterjee 💯 k... sigh. It feels like a long way off. At that point brands start respecting you.
I hope you're a psychic or astrologer for what you see in my channel! If not, you can lie to me. 😁😁😁
I hear ya on the job. I diversify like many bloggers who juggle streams of income on their blog and I have a few PT jobs. I've been shooting for a temp FT one. Hawai'i is #1 in the 🇺🇸 for unemployment and it's the worst destination for flight sales too. I should've made my channel about food. Lol.
+suvodip chatterjee ps just curious- what do you love about Gabriel's channel ?
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa.....No Christine I’m no astrologer.....but I’m saying with confidence that you would reach 100K subscribers within few months if you do just one thing....that is upload a video daily.....TH-cam does not give importance to quality but they attach a lot of importance to quantity.....both you and Gabriel are excellent, amazing travel vloggers and my most favourites......but he uploads a video daily that gives him more subscribers and views...he currently has 100K subscribers.....He just completed his trip in Europe and I used to see a video from him every day while he was travelling......but you take lot more time to upload which puts you at a disadvantage although your videos are best in quality and can beat any travel channel documentary any day.....TH-cam wants frequent uploads.....Many You Tubers even with very poor and sub-standard content are now getting millions of subscribers within a year....an example in this case is an Indian tech channel Technical Guruji.....with very average content but two videos per day uploads that channel got one million subscribers within a year and now has 2.6 million subscribers.....I am totally baffled to see how with such sub-standard content it gets so many subscribers and views......but another very popular Indian Tech channel with very good quality content, Geekyranjit, took almost six years to reach one million because his upload was not that frequent in the initial years......so just upload anything you like.....but at least one video in a day......It is just a matter of few months before you reach 100K and eventually 1M.....
Am one of the girls who inspired by u...starting to travelled alone and planning a month of travel soon. .ur vids helps a lot ..don't quit
+jiru traveller Awww, gurl . Where are you off to next?😁💕
Keep on going and don't quit! You inspire so many people, including me! Thank you for showing and sharing this amazing experience! It was a beauty to watch!
+Mary Wesh ✊🏼I'm fighting for this channel Mary! Thanks for watching👀
Glad that you will keep on going with videos! I look forward to each new video you make! ☺
+Elizabeth Kosowesky Yay! Thanks for returning Elizabeth✨
Thank u for beautifully capturing my state...U got yourself a new fan...👍🏻
Please keep fighting for this passion of yours....... Always there for you !
I love this video. Thank you. Make sure you stay strong and follow your passion. This summer I travelled to India all self-funded and I was very proud of that and my ambition is to travel and travel as much as I can on my own back and this has been very much inspired by your travel journey. You should be very proud of your achievements. I learn so much from your vlogs xxx
+Leah Spillane You're welcome Leah!✊🏼What was your highlight city?
Beautiful 🙂 you have such amazing journeys & visit some of the most breathtaking places in the world, enjoy every minute of it 👌never, never quit, your an absolute 🌟
+Paul Woolveridge Thank you! 🌟
Love your video! Don't give up and continue your amazing journey of travel!!!
Aww, thanks gurl. 😃
Just saw 4 videos on your channel, by that only I can say Don't Quit ! Your work is great !
Thank you for visiting
Lots of love from Sikkim people.
Thank you so much for covering our state in this video. Although you had a short trip but you have tried to dessiminate huge knowledge about our tiny state. Bravo and kudos for your courage.
Wish I had more time to explore and understand more +Manoj Subba. What would you have wanted to add to this in special site, food or activity?
As far as I am concern you have almost covered all those tourist spots which are in and around of Pelling. There are lot more places to visit but it takes more time, so basically for foreigner tourist who are in a short visit won't be able to visit those places. As you asked me to suggest some places, I would recommend you to visit Gurudongmar lake in North Sikkim, Tsomgo lake in East Sikkim, Zuluk in East Sikkim. Thank you.
Awesome! thx Manjoj
Thank you for your videos... and for not quitting Christine, even though rough moments are tempting you to. Know that we got your back 🙆🙆
Thanks girl. You understand the challenge of making it happen and bringing it to TH-cam. You folks are my rockstar family. 😀
hi.. i visited yoksum last year .. it was really a cool place ... i want to visit again after watched this video ..thanx for a nice video..
I so love all your videos, and this one is no exception. Thanks again for another great video, Christine! I wonder if I would love the Yak cheese, I love almost all types of cheese, but not sure about this one, haha. It does look good with the veggies, and the bread. It also looks like you had a lot of fun with the local kids! I am really appreciating the vibe and what I am seeing about northern India, thank you! I am proud to be one of your Patreon patrons! I just wish I could do more to help you, I love how you do your videos and would miss you SOOOOOO MUCH!
+Jay Dollarhide Hope some day to cross paths with you so I can give a big hug!!! Even if you stopped being a Patreon supporter tomorrow, you've generated so much care thru all your comments that it's a world of love for me. I'm a Cancer; I always remember the folks who believe in me from the start. I may not always have time to show it b/c I have a shit ton to do to make it all work (lol), but I feel it deeply, Jay. 🌺 You're one straight up bird.
I dunno if you'd like yak cheese either. I've had yak yogurt in China (blechhhh 😝😝even w a ton of sugar sprinkled on it) and Nepal (yuuum!!! That video will come😋). I think it depends on how it's made.
I would so love to meet up with you in our travels, Christine, that would be SOOOO AWESOME! And, Yak cheese, haha, we will see on that one, I did eat a beetle and a silk worm in Cambodia, and a grasshopper in Thailand, but that was the extent of my bug diet, lol.
- Such a raw and authentic feel. It looks so calm and peaceful in that area 😇
Verrrry peaceful. A very safe region for solo travelers also. =)
What a beautiful place !
You should come to Brazil, and make a video here ! Think about it :D
Hope u take lots of good memories and moment..... come again... ✌️
oh my I would hate if you quit! I love your videos. You do locations that most don't .....I love the places you go to and am living through you! Maybe one I will get to some of these places but if not I am really enjoying learning about them through your eyes and experiences!
long time watcher, hope your channel keeps growing. you really deserve a large following and the $$$$ independence that comes with it. good luck !
edit: How funny, I wrote the comment above prior to finishing your video. interesting how you mentioned the support you receive on patreon. Just want to add, before you know it, youll be hitting 100k subs and in a blink of an eye that MIL subs. Dont give up !
+jon garcia Thanks, yeah I dream of 100k! Lol.
I wish more viewers would spread the word about my channel and videos. It's a lot of work juggling creation and growth and when view counts dip, TH-cam does less to share it. That can feel like the cherry on top of defeating.
Beautiful presentation. You are choosing right destinations.
You are great bloggers! Love you Christina ! I am always with you! Keep it up! Someday we meet you!
I love the way you incorporated traditional music in this one. I'm wondering if you'd consider having a quick graphic map of India at the beginning of your videos. I'm going to Northern India and this would help to get a general sense of the lay of the land. Thank YOU!
Thanks for mentioning that. Great idea. I've only just started incorporating maps occasionally in my Nepal videos. I'd love to do it for my India videos when I return there, but unfortunately, I'm not sure when that will be. =D
To quit is easy but to continue need courage and hunger to visit more places and to relay that to us. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.
Keep up the great work!
Beautiful video.
Thx Joel!! 😍
Beutifulll trip woww nice.
😍Rimbi Waterfall

+manoj singh Love back!❤️
Loved ur entire Darjeeling and Sikkim blogs in a whole relaxed night thanks for uploading and I miss home thanks it’ was awesome and full of energy appreciate ur hard work and which camera did u use it was awesome
Beautiful videos, really appreciate your efforts in promoting tourism and cultures.Big thank you, love and respect.I am a follower of Ancient Indian philosophy(Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism etc) of Rights and Duties. The prayer wheel you moving with playful kids is 'Dharma Chakra' symbolizes same philosophy. I had the right to enjoy your videos and see beautiful culture, so my duty to join patreon and contribute from my side as much as I can, so that the 'Dharma Chakra' keeps on moving :).
+ANUPAM RASTOGI I never knew the name of these wheels. The prayer is always Om mane padme Om?
Awww, I appreciate your support Anupam- that was lovely about what you said about wheel turning. Lol! Sent you a message on Patreon. xoxo 😊🙏
thanks for visiting this place, you stepped in every place which I love about this town, even in that need momo shop. after watching this video i become quite nostlagic, it reminds me my first trek, Goechala trek. the bace camp was this little town. But you missed one very important thing, Dubdi Monastery.
+Aveek Bakshi I knowwwww!!! Initially I thought Mani Hall was it. 🤔🙄How long was your trek?
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa , It was a 10 day trek.actually this place is starting point of 4-5 trekking route.
OMG Wow. You don't need to go to Bhutan you can visit Sikkim Thank you! Have you ever thought of a long stay somewhere to learn about Buddhism and meld with the local culture, maybe forget yourself for a while?
+Renit Rift I still dream of going to Bhutan some day. ✊🏼Not sure how long I can last being lost. Human nature would drive me to wanting to be found. 😁
hi Christine I love ur video's they r v informative
Madam, had u been there at that home stay in yoksum? If you could provide information on that. Thank you very much.
Nice vlog, ❤️ from Kolkata
Approx how much was the private driver? Great video. I loved this India series.
1500 rupees! There's a set tour menu of popular spots to choose from. I'll eventually get out a written guide with info on where I got him.
Christine, you are such an inspiration! Your videos gave me the information and courage to pack my bags and leave Australia and it's been the best decision I ever made!
But I do have a question...How do you find the time for editing while you're on the move?
Awww +Brian Hunt - that's an awesome compliment! Where to?
I'm not a daily vlogger. On the road, I book a few days to just stay in my room to edit. So I prefer to do it mostly when I get back so as not to waste money. Multi-day compilation guides are too intense on the road.
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa like yourself, my first solo travel experience was Nepal. Have been in SE Asia since, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia
Really great video as always. I hope you can secure some reliable funding as hoenestly you give so much to the viewers. We may not be able to physically go there but we can share the time you give us through your video. All the best Christine.greg
. I'll keep going til I can't. There's a long answer to the reliable funding part, but if it's not patrons, it's either growing this channel with more viewers and shares, working with advertisers and sponsors( I have to be careful with those), etc...Currently, juggling jobs back home and doing entrepreneur work with GRRRL to grow her gets unhealthy. I"m in constant crash mode
Greg, Your views and comments help encourage my channel growth.

Your videos are so amazing, I can watch them all day and night long. What you do is something very special and cute. Please don't quit and keep up the great job.
One suggestion, open an account and ask your fans to help you fund your trips. It won't be much, but at least someone like me can buy you a cup of coffee to drink while you are putting so much effort to make and edit videos to keep us happy.
Cheers
Hi +Aziz Bamyani Thanks for the warmth- please binge watch whenever you feel like it. haha. I do have an account on Patreon, where people can help support my travel video guides. =D
Not sure how I could be of help. But absolutely" YES" if you plan to be in kerala.
I feel your pain about the cost of travel. I've been getting by with credit card points. I would not be able to travel without them.
You should go to the Philippines. It's super cheap out there. You can get by with $10/day for food. I'm thinking of going in February-March.
+thenikkiroom Yeah International flights are killerzzzz! I should've just made my YT channel about Hawai'i or food. Lol
PI is definitely a destination I have my eye on, because I've seen so many jaw dropping photos of its beauty! $10/day for food is kinda pricy for SEA actually. 😳
GRRRLTRAVELER | Christine Kaaloa I was actually being very generous with the $10 estimate. Depending on how frugal who I want to be, it can be as low as $4. You can walk into a mom & pop restaurant and get a plate of rice and BBQ for $1.
Hello..mam...it's amazing..
I Wach It Super I Live kolkata
