    Presented by Fullscript and Seeking Health, a company that provides supplements, courses, and tools designed to help people overcome genetic dysfunction and optimize health, this webinar will dive into gut health and the role that phosphatidylcholine and histamine play.
    During this webinar hosted by Dr. Ben Lynch, the best-selling author of Dirty Genes, President of Seeking Health, and a leader in the field of Nutrigenomics, you’ll learn:
    - About the role phosphatidylcholine plays in intestinal health and what you can do to raise levels.
    - How histamine intolerance is on the rise and what you can do about it.
    - About the genetic SNPs, cofactors, and coenzymes that either help or hinder phosphatidylcholine and histamine metabolism.

    I’ve been going down this enzyme rabbit hole, ever since my second brother passed away at 55 from cancer. My other brother died from a massive heart attack. I realize that we can’t eat meat. Then I started trying to figure out why. I had a gastric bypass surgery 17 years ago and I have had a horrible time getting my health in order. I lost my gallbladder I had multiple hernias, I’ve always had dibucaine inhibition which I inherited from my father. So I knew that there was something going on with my enzymes. I also want to add that since I have started eating a Hindu type diet, mostly all fresh fruits and vegetables, the one thing that I needed to add to these enzymes and NAC was a mushroom complex to help with the inflammation and my brain, health and magnesium. I have made it a mission myself to get this information out because I have restored my health almost 90%, my dads health is too far gone but my Mom has responded AMAZINGLY WELL to the regimen she’s on. One of the things that I noticed right off the bat was my hair has grown 4 inches.

    Hi Dr. Lynch. I would like to thank you for this amazing video and making it available here on TH-cam. I’m a layperson who got very sick after my two pregnancies. It was a ten year process and in the end, I had so many symptoms, and nobody was able to help me other than the usual antibiotics and and other prescription medications. I hit rock bottom in 2013, and to cut a long story short, I ended up embarking on a nutritional balancing journey and remineralisation program. I vowed to learn everything I could about how my body works. I have been listening to videos like yours for ten years, and I have learned so very much. I have also been healthy now for ten years, and when something isn’t quite right, I know to look for the missing piece. This is true prevention! I recently had full lab works done plus a comprehensive Genova test. Yes, the Genova test showed the need for some tweaking but my Quest lab results were all within range.

    Excellent video. I have extreme dizziness when exercising and eating certain foods severe enough that it causes anxiety. I learned that exercise can cause histamine release and of course eating certain foods. You mentioned you not being able to eat avocado and when I eat it I basically get dizzy and go into severe anxiety. Turns out I checked my plasma histamine levels and they were 28X above normal. Have no idea why, but after watching this video I have learned a lot and hopefully now I can get a grip on this problem because it has wrecked my life for the last 20 years and I am 58 years of age now. Every time I eat something that triggers it, it makes me feel faint like. Dizzy like I have low blood pressure. Then I check my BP and it is fine, except in the mornings it is low on average 100/60 which I am thinking it is the histamine. I checked my nitric oxide levels with a saliva strip and it shows very low, so as you stated, I'm thinking the body is increasing histamine as a compensatory mechanism. Leaky gut comes to mind and yes I cannot tolerate motion without feeling nauseous. I appreciate this video and I am now starting on SAMe to help break it down.

      Please, look into MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), and SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) as potential causes.
      Do you have any excessive bloating after eating certain foods? What about stool changes? If you suffer from that, please get a alactulose breath test done. SIBO bacteria, colonic E. coli, Klebsiella aerogenes and Klebsiella pneumoniae disrupt the small intestinal microbiome and produce a lot more biogenic amines such as cadaverine and putrescine, which deplete amine oxidases such as DAO and MAO, which are required for histamine breakdown. It’s also very triggering for the mast cells, which are directly behind the epithelial lining. These madt cells produce tremendous amounts of histamine and an almost infinite amount of inflammatory cytokines. This would explain your exercise intolerance symptoms.
      Look at Mark Pimentel’s research at MAST in Cedars Sinai for the small intestinal microobiome research, and Lawrence Afrin’s research for Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.

      Not true. I have personally suffered from B1 ( Thiamine) deficiency for years and had severe beri beri issues both wet and dry. There is real research on these issues that even Elliot discusses. I am finding that the MTHFR gene mutation and the CMOT mutation has caused the
      multitude of problems. It has ruined my family line. We have suffered for several generations with this and I have watched several family members die from it. It has ruined one of my children’s children’s life, two sisters nieces, nephews , mother, aunts, grandmother etc. I have just this last few months figured this all out and gotten some relief. The mthfr and COMT mutations combined are horrible. My son inherited double mutation do to my wife having one allele also. So he has the compound heterozygous mutation. As for thiamine, the mthfr disrupts it and several other B vitamins.

    • @Ruktiet
      @Ruktiet 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Brett-ht7tr These gene mutations and their supposed resulting pathogenicity are overhyped. Your bloodline would’ve never survived and be able to pass on these genes if it were to lead to such severe illness. It is very likely that other things are at the cause. Don’t underestimate gene expression and lifestyle.
      If thiamine were to lie at the root of your problem, supplementation would not result in “some relief”, but literally complete resolution of problems

    I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and ibs most of my adult life. I am 57 and things got much worse after I had my son through emergency C section when I was 37. He was very difficult child and adolescent. Still struggling with regulating his emotions now. I pretty much know he is on the spectrum Autism. I was a single parent, so all very stressful. I have also been trying to loss weight since he was born. No matter how little I eat unless I stop eating altogether I cannot loss weight. My mum had three miscarriages, all boys and was schizophrenic, so when I began to look at the Methylation stuff I could see that this was possible something that was going on through the generations. I have also just found out that my folate is low, so is my thyroid. When I was watching this video I can see that the first thing to work on is the Adrenal, which I think I have adrenal fatigue. I thought I might look at the supplement for this, though I have a cupboard full of supplements. Have tried supplements for the gut and have always made things work. When I looked at the Adrenal optimal one of the ingredients is Aswaganda and this has a horrible effect on me. I have tried it about 3 times over the last 20 years and it always does the same thing. It makes me completely wired rather than relaxed. I am wake all night with it. Can anyone please give me an explanation of why this might be? I also have a strange thing with vit D, I am supposed to be energised with it but I take it and I can't get out of bed because it just makes me so tired. Now been trying to take the Meth B vits and they are giving me heartburn. The thyroid medication makes nerve pain worse. I just feel like giving up. Where should I start? Please if anyone can help I would be so grateful. Thank you

      get a low dose multi vitamin with minerals and everything and start slow to get everything up at the same time.
      i do not tolerate a lot of stuff isolated, for example b6 makes me crazy.. but in bcomplex it does not. i seam even to tolerate Vitamin D better when i take it with bcomplex and lcarnitine fumarate and omega3. a bit vitamin A from liver. and omega3 from cod liver oil.
      a few month ago i could not tolerate vitamin c and magnesium anymore. those were the only 2 which always worked. i had vD deficiency so i took a few weeks high dose VD like 50k a week and now i can take magnesium and C again.
      i tolerate 1x 50k a week better than every time lower dose.

      I think all the issues go back to the mthfr mutation. It’s the ‘root cause’. Of course you then have all these issues so it might not be as simple as just taking methylated b12/folate and then they all disappear (though they might?). I have autism/adhd and have struggled my whole adult life with anxiety/depression. I was then diagnosed with hashimotos (hypothyroidism) and then candida/sibo and then rhumatoid arthritis. I started recently taking PS100 (reduces cortisol) and then the methylated b12/folate, along with NAC (which boosts your glutathione). If you are also having gut issues, I’d recommend taking betaine hcl with digestive enzymes - I take mine with berberine (which will get rid of any fungal overgrowth if you have it but also helps regulate your blood sugar/insulin and is all natural). I’m almost there…I’ve lost the extra weight, my anxiety/depression is in check and I’m feeling very hopeful for the first time in years. My boys are both autistic and have adhd (high functioning) - I read that there’s a direct link to asd/adhd, which isn’t surprising seeing as it has a direct effect on the brain’s neurotransmitters. If you don’t like the PS100 (which is a better supplement and more effective than ashwaganda), you might also want to consider Lemonbalm with L’ theanine. Especially useful for insomnia. Good luck. X

But will try some of the other things you mentioned. The difficulty I seem to have is anything I try seem to make things worse. Causing nerve pain or flare. Even when I tried the Meth B it caused flare. I am sorry that you have been through so much but I am glad that you seem to be finding a way out of it. Thank you.

      I have 1298A->C heterozygous, i found this;
      "It is hypothesized that the MTHFR C677T polymorphism may have a larger effect on MTHFR enzyme activity because of its location within the catalytic region rather than the regulatory domain.4 Therefore, since the variability in MTHFR enzyme activity is not as large as with the C677T polymorphism (up to 70% reduction), testing for MTHFR A1298C does not seem to be clinically useful at this time.
      Table 1: The Effect of the MTHFR C677T and A1298C Polymorphisms on MTHFR Enzyme Activity
      Genotype 677CC 677CT 677TT
      1298 AA 100% 51-73% 22-32%
      1298 AC 60-92% 36-60% N/A
      1298 CC 52-60% N/A N/A
      *Percentages denote MTHFR enzyme activity. Ranges are included to reflect different values reported in the literature.

    Please do subtitles on, even only in english because I have problems with understand your accent and local language. I would be very greatfull. Subtittles is off . Even english subtittles would helped me to understand better what you are talking about. I am sorry but english is not my home language. Some medical termines is differend in my language so shorts I don't understand well like CH, DEO. Translation by Google translator could not handle this.
    I would be very greatful also when you do a lecture with explaining basis: DEO, homocysteine, histamine -how you see this, what they are doing in organism in very basis because I wanted to understand very good this chart.

    Does this applies to someone who has very high IgE (mite allergy) and sulphite allergy? The only thing that works is B1 and molybdenum . I have too much stomach acid and only alprazolam helps. I can take supplements in very low dose only if alprazolam is present. I live in Greece and there are no doctors that will offer this type of medicine. Seminar is great but the other histamine receptors like H2 and H3 interfere too. Dao helps to reduce existing gut histamine and only for a couple of hours. To me it works topical , after eating histamine goes up so the dao tablets have to used in higher amounts and it is cost effective. I did TCM and made me worse as herbs do contain substances that wil interfere with histamine and gastric acid secretion but they work great if someone does not have histamine issues. Do you have adrenal and methylation seminar? Thank you

    My mother has been diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). There seems to be very little known about this and she has been prescribed enzyme replacement. She also has severe IBS (mostly constipation) and has been on every diet imaginable. Can you please recommend information and help for her? We've been looking everywhere! I feel that methylation and maybe histamine have something to do with this. Oh and she was also treated for SIBO. Please, any info or direction would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

      @@mrlouielou32 Rolfing can be tough on many people if they do not start out liight enough and then work deeper. I would really be careful with going to any new bodyworker. Starting work needs to be light or your body will tighten up as a stress response. You also need to drink alot of water with electrolytes afterwards for the next 24 hours. It can cause a histamine response so you do have to be careful/

I've had no gallbladder for years and just started taking it. Makes a world of difference on my vision and overall physical well-being. My diverticulitis pain has disappeared. I see this is a year late but I hope this helps. God bless.
