😀. For BIFOLIATE Cattleya SPECIES, it is really critical!

Nice video, where do you prefer to buy your orchids?

I buy from MANY different sources. I go to South Florida orchid shows. Since 75% of my orchids are species, I buy a lot from South American and Asian vendors at those shows but I also buy from many different vendors in the US (each have their strong sides )

In addition to anti bacterial/fungal properties, I have also read that cinnamon has drying properties. Is it correct to assume that you have used cinnamon on roots before and not had any problems with the roots dehydrating? Perhaps all of your older roots were not expected to absorb water and you are relying totally on the new roots to hydrate the plant? Thanks!

I have indeed never encountered issues with cinnamon before.
The older roots were in fairly bad shape but I kept 50% of them for stability of the plant and also because they likely still do some work hydrating the plant but I want indeed as many new roots from the three new growths (the 3rd growth was confirmed one day later) to become the main supplier of hydration to the plant moving forward

Awesome orchid! What kind of cinnamon do you use on your cuttings? Just wandered if it was the same one for food or one specifically for plants. Thanks for sharing!

Regular ground cinnamon that you would use to bake or cook.

Your pot was too small! I can't figure out why you didn't give that. Plant more room to grow. The new growth is right up against the edge of the plant....
