Good video. Just what I needed to watch this morning. I have several cattleyas which are growing in medium lava rock. I'm moving them back to a table in their growing area today because they've been too wet from the rain that we've had lately where they were hanging. (I've found several damaged leaves.) Always enjoy your videos. How was the orchid show? Noticed that the venue was in Pembroke Pines. Watched several of the TH-camrs who made videos. Take care and happy orchid growing!
Thank you! The show was terrific with great reviews and feedback.
Cattleya lundii is one of those odd ones too
I am not familiar with it. Thank you for the info!
AKA Laelia lundii. I’m sure they probably reclassified it with the rest of them; still within the alliance, though.
Thank you!
What is your opinion on cattleyas ( plants in general) with viruses. Do you isolate them and look at flowers with a color break or deposit them the trash can. I have a hard time throwing them away. Also do you do any testing from Agdia when you suspect a problem
I honestly don't have an educated opinion on the subject. I do not test and have not experienced color breaks etc...
Hi there would like to invite you and your listeners to the Flamingo Orchid Society Orchid Auction- Feb 12 doors open at 7p hope you can make it
