For my monthly Sky Cinema review I chose Black Site, an action packed thriller, a great film for lovers of action movies. But I also sat down to watch the new romcom Father Of The Bride, a film that both myself and Lydia sat down and thoroughly enjoyed, which I did not expect. The beauty of painting a new color in your dressing room is that you are not married to only the colors left over in your paint storage. Personally, I would keep looking for a color that won’t absorb every drop of light when filming and still feel warm and cozy with your antique trunks as featured focal points. Personally, I think the bottom color is very muddy and will be a lighting nightmare. If you go too deep of a green you’ll definitely have issues getting skin tones to look right (and end up looking a bit green around the gills and sickly). Most people who are decorating for purely aesthetics don’t usually have to worry about filming and how the wall color bounces off and affects clothing colors as well as skin tones. There is a reason filming studios and museums are painted soft whites and greys. I think in addition to deciding on a paint color you may want to decide if your dressing room will remain your primary “shooting studio” for all of your clothing related videos or not. If not, paint whatever color speaks to your heart and shoot in other areas of the house. Good luck in whatever you decide!
It's so unfortunate that you decided to paint rows of different paint beside each other on the door/wall! As an Interior Designer (and 3D Visualiser) I would have advised you to paint each shade of paint onto A3 paper (individually) and then stick the paper on the door. This is because colours appear differently when placed next to other colours. They also change tone depending on natural and artificial light. I think you have artificial light on in this room, which has a yellow glow. This means the paint colour will also have a slight yellow tone. You should always look at paint colours in isolation on a plain wall and also using different environment lighting, i.e. daylight, evening and artificial light. Don't forget to consider the orientation of the room in terms of the sun! Especially if it receives cool natural light. Good luck with whichever colour you choose! :)

Love the idea of deep, rich color tones that make the space cozy, inviting and homey. However, if you are toying with an idea of selling, neutrals would be the best choice. Something light, but not stark and cold, that will still have the rustic overall vibe of the house, but won't make the space dark and smaller - which dark and saturated shades tend to do. General rule when (or if) painting with selling in mind is light and neutral, so that space looks large, clean, light and that appeals to every potential buyer.
Like the idea of hanging art on to the panelled wall in the hall. It gives it a cozier feel.

First, this was a real treat. I thoroughly appreciated the length and the content. Secondly, if you're open to other colors that might give a dressing room feel, I think burnt orange or apricot are worth sampling (possibly mahogany?). The last two colors (from the top down) were my favorites. Also, that three piece suit - the way you styled it and the suit itself - was beautiful. I'd love one of those in that color and in an olive green color. And your boots, I'll take a pair of those in brown. Finally, I really appreciate your attention to detail and the focus with which you approach projects (hanging the picture, painting) - great job, yet again.

This video was so informative w excellent editing. I like the first suit even thought too preppy. I prefer the polish but u look great in both regardless of the choice. U can make a dirty overhauls look fantastic.

Father of the Bride is a remake of two films. The original from the 50’s with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. The second one from the 90’s with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton.
The best part of the video was I couldn't make out the garble after "This is what I think" 30 plus times from the corner. Occasionally it matters what you think Ali. Especially in your room that you work in and (used to) film in (after you paint it dark green). Love your golf bag choice.

Art should not be hung on panelled walls! An interior design no no as the panels are already the art to the eye. Put it on a plain wall and it will be where it shines.

I would use vertical paint samples, otherwise it’s not apples to apples beause the lower band id lit differently than the lower.

I repaint my home inside every few years, luckily my outside is brick and vinyl.

The drop cloth would,be my pick. The other colors are way to dark and will contract when your trying on clothing for filming. The other choice is too choose 2 more colors as an option.

I love Father of the Bride, too! Have you all seen the original, with Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, and Martin Short? It’s a classic. (I always love the originals more than later renditions.) Glad you both enjoyed the movie, though! Love from America!

Ali, it is called divets. In Europe and the UK mostly 4 chukkers are being played but it can be more 6 or even up to 8 but obviously this requires more horses, as rules require that a horse can not be played in consecutive chukkers. Also, the reason why the direction of the game is changing after every score dates back to the time when polo was played in India. Because of the heat the played late in the afternoon, before sunset. So in order to be fair and not have one team play against the sun all the time, the direction of the game changes after every score….I know you are the kind of person interested in learning such stuff….
