    What is the brand of the ball joint? I am hearing various stories regarding the joint and the cone fitment.

      Delphi for 05+
      Moog for 03-04
      Those are the easiest to install imo

    i replaced my lower control arms the other day but no matter how hard i trried i could not get the ball joint nut to screw back on all the way... its currently hiding the hole for the cotter poin.... do you know what i could have possibly done wrong?

    thanks! do you suggest torquing them with the knuckle/spindle jacked up so it simulates load?

      I must've missed this comment, it's not necessary. As long as it's torqued down the spec it'll be fine

    Can a bad compression arm act like the ball joints bad? I replaced everything but that and don’t know if mine is bad but when I turn the wheel it just keeps turning to full lock and even does that when I hit a bump

    I got import direct ball joints. And it seems as if the cotter pin hole is way too high in comparison to the top of the castle nut. Was it just a defective set or do I add washers to compensate for the gap?

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes it's like that, I always just put the cotter pin in. You can stack washers if you want, but the hole isn't always gonna be right at the nut.
      Sorry for the super delayed response

    my ball joint Nut keeps spinning when i try to tighten it down but it keeps spinning even if i put a jack under for the weight to created pressure and it still just doesn't want to tighten properly , any idea?

      How did you fix that?

      late reply, but probably need a new lower control arm. Sometimes the ball joints hole itself its wallowed out too much to keep the new one in tight enough. Not sure if that helps, but maybe somebody else

    Just out of curiosity, how did the import direct ball joint do? Is it still holding up? Or did you have to replace it already?

      Honestly, I sold the car after this video. He did come back a few months later and both were fine still

    So I’ll need a new cotter pin for the compression arm after taking it out correct. ?

    I’m running into issues where none of the adaptors in the rental kit fit around the ball joint to press it out, either too big or too small around the bottom lip . I’ve been stuck for 4 days , any ideas?

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have the same kit as the one in the video? If you do the one with one side missing works
