As for my mom, she comes from a similar background but with a more average number of siblings, and she has experience living hard in the big city as well as a kid. I've also been telling my parents bits and pieces about my ambitions in the VTuber community, among other artistic pursuits, and while I think it's gonna take a lot to really explain that stuff to them, so much that I feel like not explaining it to them any further sometimes, I'm confident that they'd bother to learn and do their best to support me if I ever reach out to them properly, something I strongly believe I'm being assured of ever since they supported my pursuit of a Creative Writing degree in university (and the university being big-name definitely helped, hahaha). Not that other people can't have it worse, but I think I often try too hard to sympathize with people who have it worse, and I want to build on the goodness of my family than waste it all for a mask of bigger relatability. So yeah, knowing that Grandpa got help from his family somehow during his break is a pretty beautiful contrast to this story this clip focused on.
