    I'd love it if you did some typing of youtubers! There are so many "try on my entire wardrobe" especially and "try on haul" videos for you to see their whole body and kind of clothes they wear. Such a variety of real life body types and faces/personalities. I think it would be fun! I don't relate to celebrities much as they seem to only wear evening clothes.

And on top of that, my figure is going to look heavier naturally! I do not aim to look large and androgynous. (Despite appearing that way ugh!)

    Merriam, I have learnt so much from you, you explain Kibbe in such a unique and understandable way! I love these in depth comparisons and I think the examples you’ve chosen here are perfect, especially the one with Rachel McAdams, you illustrate your points so well. I also like how you’re pointing out that it’s all about intention and that all types can end up struggling when not wearing their own lines. Requests for future videos: 1) more comparisons and how you can play around with different elements and achieving different looks. 2) More Break Kibbe’s rules videos, the one you did on dramatics is one of my favourites. 3) In depth analysis on FN, like the video you did in SN - I think FN is one of the body types you’ve talked about the least on your channel. Keep up the good work, it’s greatly appreciated, and thank you for all the work you put in!

    Keira Knightly looks like a natural to me. Hence the reason she looks more intimidating with harsh make up on the eyes. She is only 1,68 cm tall, moderate height, she has wide shoulders, a protuding strong jaw, which is a very normal often seen characteristic seen on naturals, like Kristen Stewart, Kylie Jenner, Jennifer Aniston. She just does not look like a dramatic to me, sharp, elongated, narrow. She is skinny, yes, but that does not make you into a dramatic. Naturals are also kind of straight-ish in frame, except for the wide shoulders, which I think also confuses people. She is a natural.

    • @potatoknishes5860
      @potatoknishes5860 หลายเดือนก่อน

      She cannot be a soft natural because she doesn't have an upper curve. Her body is not balanced at all. Which I feel like it is the main characteristic of Naturals.

    0:50 yes she looks like she's wearing dramatic lines BUT her top is pretty soft, she's has very small earings and her makeup while being mat is quite diffused
    So if I learned my lesson well, she actually wearing a mixture of opposite and that makes her angularity showing more.

    • @stayathomemess
      @stayathomemess 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think relaxed styles. I'm a natural too! Naturals look more dressed up in casual clothes than other body types. What category of natural are you? She recently typed me as a full natural, so I tend to look at the kind it things Jennifer Aniston wears and what I think she looks good in. Some things may be recommended for your body type, but if you see them on others with the same body type and don't like them, it may be your personal style coming into play. But if you don't like ANYTHING recommended, then you might have typed yourself wrong.

    I wonder if the reason why Keira looks more vulnerable on the picture with the suit is not the angle (I understand the jaw thing) because that angle gives the impression of a babyface, what do you think? her face proportions are really altered in this picture and she does look younger, but I don’t think it’s 100% because of the suit.

    Hi, just consider that these are ads of celebrities created by stylists and makeup artists and photographers that make the choices for the celebrities. They are being told what" look" or intention the photographer, ad agent, or client wants to express. They are told what clothes to put on and what "look" to give the camera and what make up and clothes to wear. So, unless we see the celebrities in their own clothes (and even then, most of them have stylists that chose everything for them) I do not think there was any "intention" on their part when we look at professional ads. So Keira was not IMO trying to achieve any look. She was getting paid to pose for a publicity. I do find all of your analysis very interesting and have very much enjoyed your listening to your perspective. I find it fascinating. thank you.

  • @FannysLoA

    Oh, this is interesting. Because some other places online says Dramatic *can* be fitted, and don't have to look oversized.
    But maybe that rules out D again for me, because I just look fat in oversized without waist emphasis... Or maybe it's different for fat dramatics?
    Because I'd rather look thin and intimidating than fat and friendly :P

    Could you do a video comparing Flamboyant Naturals and Soft Dramatics? I tend to confuse the two. For example, most models are FN but Irina Shayk could go either way. She has exotic fuller features but seems to also have a FN body type. Emily Ratajkowski also has fuller features (probably surgery) and doesn’t seem to be as broad as most FNs.

    • @FannysLoA
      @FannysLoA 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Second this!
      Also Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie in depth, because they are supposedly FN, but to me they look SD a part from one or two things (like julias big smile).

    • @starminoui
      @starminoui 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think Julia looks like a FN but Angelina could be a SD imo. I think Angelina lost some of the softness she had when she was younger.

    • @FannysLoA
      @FannysLoA 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@starminoui I think that most of Julia isn't as "sturdy" as what I've become to associate with Naturals, and she's quite curvy and has some sharpness in her bones, so that's why she confuses me. Same with Angelina, although she kind of looks sturdier, but that is probably just because she's slightly better trained than Julia, because looking at her younger years, she's not quite as sturdy looking either.

      If you're 5' 2" and FN, you wear FN lines all the same! Height is just one factor (it's actually not even a factor at all, we just get hung up on it since we're so used to thinking about height, the body type is independent of height, what it does depend on is the vertical line, which is how tall you look, not how tall you are, and that is just one of fifteen questions). In the same way, Lucy Liu is dramatic all the same, and she will wear dramatic lines all the same!

    • @kellie8468
      @kellie8468 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      So we just wear the lines for our type and not get too hung up on height. Makes sense. Thank you 😊. So if you’re shorter you can be a dramatic or natural but take in consideration how the clothes fit ? Natural or dramatic on a smaller scale ? The opposite for Romantic and Gamine?

      I'd say undercut is a gamine thing, so it probably would create an intimidating effect for a FN. However, Rosamund Pike who is a FN I think (could also be dramatic) rocks an undercut. Pretty intimidating, but it's a look :) Best done with tousled wild hair on top in this case

      @@katyakomlach6171 Rosamund is said to be a dramatic classic. I see she is not nearly as broad as we FN are. So yeah I guess it would bring out the strong blunt features even more without an elongating effect.

      @@petrichorris Interesting, she's definitely no "clean" type, her eyes are yin, jaw, cheekbones pretty angular and squarish, nose sharp. I'm curious how Merriam or Aly would type her :)
