Indonesia is set to go to polls on February 14. It will host the biggest single-day election in the world on Wednesday. Prabowo Subianto and his running mate Gibran Rakabuming Raka are racing ahead in opinion polls. Gibran is the son of popular outgoing president Joko Widodo. Prabowo is expected to win over 50% of the vote and claim the presidency without needing a second round. Palki Sharma tells you.

I'm fourth generation Indian who has become an Indonesian citizen.
Today is the 14th February, people in all parts of the world celebrate Valentine's Day,
but we in Indonesia celebrate the presidential election with joy and peace.
Indonesia has population almost 280 million and those entitled to vote namely those over 17 years old, reach 204 million people.
There were three pairs of presidential candidates and vice presidential candidates fighting and
We vote starting from the morning closing at 1 pm then at 3 pm the quick count results are starting to appear until now at 9 pm
Alhamdulillah the results of a quick count calculation showed that 58% Prabowo - Gibran who is my choices won.

While us here in Kalimantan and Sulawesi island got more influence from Chinese traders during medieval time because we're much closer to them. In fact there was once Chinese republic declared on Kalimantan (Borneo) island.

Palki, the one that makes Anies stand out in his campaign is his program Desak Anies (and Slepet Imin for the running mate/vp). He is the first ever president candidate that have this program who everybody from whatever background can talk to him, peppering him with whatever questions. Its appealing and educating.
