I really like a camera review from someone who owns the camera as opposed to some one who borrows a camera from a retailer for just a review, then returns it after 3 days use for promotional use. Great Review!!!
Thanks, all my camera reviews are of cameras I have purchased with my own money, I do sell some to pay for new gear but I also keep a lot of them as well. I have no preference between brands, Sony and Fuji are my favourite today but tomorrow could be different. Sony AF is simply magical, its so reliable in my opinion.
I purchased the X-S20 a couple of weeks ago. I was taking still photos and working with the menus only. On three separate occasions the overheating lamp icon appeared after 20 minutes of use. I felt compelled to return the camera for this reason. Otherwise, I loved the camera and hated to return it. Did I make a mistake??
I’m not to sure if you know this but Fujifilm right now is having autofocus issues due to a new recent firmware update. It effect there entire lineup and this might be the cause of your issues. There is good news, Fujifilm is releasing a new firmware update in November to address the autofocusing issues. Hope this helps your decision
I have been using mine consistently for 6 months or more. It runs for about 2 hours at a time filming, stopping and starting between shoots for only a few minutes. It has never over heated, but I live in the UK and even in the summer my studio will get very warm but not very hot, I guess it depends on where you live. I also have the Fuji fan which I could use, but have never had the need to
I used my X-S20 for photos of the Picture Rocks in Lake Superior. I was shooting from a boat in 75 degree temperatures on a sunny day. First, the “Autofocus” warning came on and I had to stop shooting. Later, the “Overheating” warning came on. I was just shooting randomly, in single shot mode. I took the camera with me specifically for these photos. Very disappointing! Finished the tour with my iPhone with good results and no issues. May dump this and go with Sony.
The close up shot is the Sony A7C with the Sony FE50mm F1.8 and the wide shot is the XH2 with the Sugma 18050 f2.8. I have had issues with the XH2 AF but I find if I set the AF to area AF and make sure human eye detect is on it is working fine, I havent tested it for the close up angle yet though.
For me you've highlighted my issue with responding to these videos . Not sure Bob ever answers or ever reads the comments . I'm starting to think that's something that is badly lacking . I like watching these videos , but it feels a bit hollow to me for this reason .

What camera was taking this video? If it's the X-H2, then correct me if I'm wrong, but the AUTOFOCUS seems to be working great!

How on earth can you afford all these new camera models. You were born in thr right generation to live a retirement like this.
