    This is thing is so me !!! On different note. I love how cameraladies/wifes cant help but make "noises" while filming. Regardless of continemt 😂😂😂

      @@FlyTimeRC Looks like you’re going to have to try 4S 🤔

      @@EJ-74 ya I've got back n forth with different motors,props and batteries. Trying to get the optimal set up. Looks like it's 4s. Got another video coming tomorrow. I finally got the best set up.

    Props are a different thing in the air. Likely at that size/power combo the props aerofoil is stalled in a ground run and it will rev higher. In the air it un stalls and then you don't have the power to run it at sufficient speed to get the aircraft flying properly.

      @@pjjms True. And this prop definitely didn't give me the air speed I needed. I did try two more props and the last one 4s after this giving me the perfect set up. I ended up going with a 12x4.5 on 4s. I had enough thrust and air speed to fly at 40-45% throttle before stalling. Right where I wanted to be.

    Crazy, why do you think that is? Lack of thrust? I'm sure you'll figure it out, always interesting..

      @@capnhardway lack of air speed and also it was pretty windy. But yes I did figure out the optimal prop and battery for this. Right after this flight!

      @@capnhardway I've got two new videos out testing new props. I'm super happy I've finally got it figured out. This plane has been fun to test and tweak to get it just right! Thanks for watching!

    needs larger motor, and move CG forward....should be perfect

      @@ancientbriton12345 check out my newest video. After removing some weight on the tail and also changing the prop to a 12x4.5 it flew perfectly. More test flights coming soon!

    Seems to me the plane isn't properly balanced. Too tail heavy. Needs more weight in the nose. The CG point you are using now to balance the plane is too far back. It needs to be moved forward, which will show you it is tail heavy. Try to move it an inch forward. Then move your battery forward to make the plane balance OK. Additionally the 15x4 might provide you 3.5kg thrust, but the plane doesn't reach enough speed to generate the needed lift ... hence the need for full throttle. An higher pitched prop (smaller diamter) 13x7 might be more suited. On the other hand, you might try the 15x4 using a much thicker wing, as this will generate more lift with lower speed. Thicker wing -> slow flying, thinner wing -> speed.

      @@graphix-ds yes, airspeed was to low for sure. Also a tad tail heavy. The wind didn't help either. But if you check out my new video I got the winning prop and battery combo. Also I lightened up the tail and got the cg just right. Thanks for watching!

    Quite on the heavy side and CG too far back

    • @FlyTimeRC
      @FlyTimeRC  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@b.w.oostdam8875 ya, it's definitely heavy but in this case that's not the issue. A little tail heavy and the air speed was to low. The wind didn't help either. I did find the winning combination a couple flight tests after this though.
