Hey man, commenting on your oldest video for purpose. This channel really helped inspire me to start making more videos this year. I watched this and many other commute videos of yours so many times. Just dreaming what it would be like to ride my own e-bike in NYC after getting only a taste on the electric Citibikes last summer. Finally got my own e-bike last fall and got to take it on the LIRR last week & brought my GoPro. Can't wait to do it again soon. E-bikes are so much fun in NYC. Bike lanes rule
oh man, you made it all the way to the back of the catalog! Every time I look back at these early videos, I cringe a little because I really didn't know what I was doing lol. However, I also look back at it and I'm so glad that my wife convinced me to just record and post it. 16 months later, I feel like I've improved but still have a long way to go. I'm glad to hear that the channel has inspired you to ride and make content. That was one of the goals of me sharing my rides. It wasn't to hype anything up or gain notoriety by doing dumbsht on the streets of NYC, it was to showcase how much fun this hobby can be even in a stressful environment like NYC! Never forget to enjoy the ride and the process. Hoping to meet you at one of the group rides in the future. I'll post it up on here and on IG if I'm attending. It's always fun because most of the folks are good people.

Loved this video. The amount of traffic you skipped was insane. I’m gonna be moving back to nyc in a couple of years and definitely want to get an ebike for transportation
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel CT. I’m glad you enjoyed it! That same commute could take me over an hour in the car and over 45min on the subway. Nowadays, it’s about 18-30 min depending on what I’m riding. PEV is definitely the best way to get around!
I rarely go over the queens boro bridge but when I do it’s actually terrifying getting on the downhill portion towards queens when there’s other people on the path 🤣 I’ve seen a couple dualtrons going 50mph on it once. I hope they make the lanes wider it’s just too narrow and unsafe especially with the downhill portion
I agree, the QB bridge is an absolute 💩show. I hope they move forward with the conversion and repair soon. I know they were planning on converting the south side road to a dedicated walk lane for pedestrians and giving us the north side. That should help ease the congestion like it did on the Williamsburg/ Brooklyn Bridges. Some of those scooter guys are crazy lol. I fly on the lanes when it’s empty but these guys are doing 50+ and weaving through the congestion 🤦🏻♂️. Then you add the mopeds and it’s madness 😂
@@eyebahnrides the mopeds are the worst. I’ve seen at least 3 bad accidents on that bridge and it’s usually a moped riding too fast and smacking into someone walking or running. Too congested and def too small for the layout of runners and cyclists
@@confidentialp6292 absolutely. It’s funny because they say coming after pev users on that bridge is for public safety. If it were about public safety they would’ve worked on the south side of the bridge to turn it into a designated pedestrian lane instead of taking their time “redoing” the top roadway again.

@@ZackTH-cam to be honest with you, those other two stomp on the RX in terms of performance and it’s not even close. However, I didn’t buy it for that. I liked the modding options and the community. Also, the company has proven itself and I know they’ll be around for a while. It’s nice to have a place like LastMileNYC to go to when you need support for your bike. I’m not very handy so I need that kind of support. If you need the performance and can maintain your bike yourself, the other 2 are superior options. However, at those price points I would even argue that the CTY2 is an amazing option and kills all3 bikes in performance.
@@eyebahnrides oh yeah, the CTY2 performs sooo much better than all of those. It is just a little too fast & I'm not a fan of the wood. -- I'll be taking the same route as you, pretty much. so the Super73 seems like it'll be great for getting around town w/o using the pissy subway or sitting in traffic w/ my car. It’s a fun camera. Just adds extra time to the editing process because you gotta control the FOV and direction it’s pointed in. I still have to try the chest mount on the 4k lens tho

Hi, can you send me a link to the headlight you have on your bike? It looks super bright which I love as in a big flashlight, headlight guy and I love riding at night... Or is that the built in one which I just checked on their website that comes with this bike? Also wondering what upgrades you have on the bike as it looks like you have either another battery in the frame as I don't see that in the stock original and what is the top speed you were going in this video? Looks like you were going close to 40mph or is that just the semi fish eye lens making it look at that? Thanks
I don’t have a link for the headlight because they were purchased from a local bike shop. They’re called the Gemini Titan 4000. They’re amazing with brightness and they give you great distance too, I generally run them on half power because it’s overkill for the bike lanes! I’ll be doing an upgraded video soon but feel free to check out my instagram! All my mods are on there. My battery only doubles my range and my top speed is still 31-33mph. You’ll have to upgrade to a 52, 60, or 72v system if you want more top end speed. In this video I’m using the Insta360 360 lens. I’m just pointing it in the right direction while editing.

Hey, thanks for the positive feedback! Appreciate ya. I didn’t have a gap with the side panels. But the holes seemed to have been a few millimeters off so I had to get creative to get them on and it was really tight. I’ve also noticed that if you over tighten it causes the panel to flex and it creates a small gap. So I made sure they were secure but not overly tight. Hope this helps!

@@eyebahnrides Lmaoo bro most of the bike ways here are haven't been paved since the 1900s and it's just a car parking spot heaven here. Most of my commute is spent on non bike path roads
@@katon4525 hahaha i feel you. It's a glorified parking space. There are days there are better but on average, its a 💩 show. I try not to use the bike paths but there are times where the roads are just so congested I'm willing to take my chances on them in hopes itll get me to work faster

I spend a good amount of time cruising around 20mph to be as respectful to those in the bike lanes. I will push to 31-32mph when it opens up and I can safely do so.

@@confidentialp6292 they look amazing and if you watch my latest video about the torque update, you can see my riding posture a little bit better. These are the only bars I know so I’m not sure if the classic ones are more comfy. I can say that they’ve been quite comfy and I’ve done 30+ mile round trip commutes. I do have to occasionally sit up straight at lights but I used to do that with all my bikes. I think with a more upright riding position I wouldn’t need to occasionally stretch at a redlight
I was only stopped once when they first set were doing the check points on the 59th st bridge and it was on the Nami. The only thing that didn’t get stopped were the ninebot. No ticket but they let us know pedestrians and cyclists were constantly complaining about us and the mopeds
@@eyebahnrides If that’s a scooter then those officers lied. Scooters are allowed by NYC and NYS law. They can’t go over (I believe 15 or 17mph) but the officers would have to prove your scooter goes over that limit. If they ask I would respond it goes the speed limit as required by law.

I got a ticket in the summer of 2021 by the fake ass park police for riding an e-bike on the west side bike path by the park police. I immediately went to my office and requested the discovery evidence for this case. They made me wait until two days prior to the hearing to respond and dismiss the case for lack of evidence. They have to photo, video anything. I wanted them to work for that guilty verdict if it had happened. I could of gotten it dismissed easy in one of two ways. 1. My office could of did it (as I was traveling in my official capacity as a member of the DA’s office) 2. The idiot officer wrote a time in the future of the time I got stopped).
These are the Blur Boundaries mirrors that Last Mile NYC sells. If you’re not near a Super73 retailer that sells it, you can go to their site. If it’s sold out Loomenade has similar handlebar mirrors
Hey man. Just out of curiosity. How do you lock up your bike while you’re at work? I’ve been thinking of commuting with my bike at work but don’t want to leave my bike outside.
Hey John, hows it going man? Good question. I've been blessed that I don't have to leave my bike or my scooter chained outside. I've always had the option to either leave it in a storage room in the building or in my office. At my current place of employment, they have a bike room with surveillance and security so I have the peace of mind to leave everything there. I have been playing around with the idea of using a brake disc lock because other people tend to move my bike around and scratch it because they don't really care. I personally would not want to leave my bike outside unless I have a clear line of sight at all times. I've seen how quickly professional thieves are at getting through a chain/ lock (even the Fugghetaboutit lock ).
I like having the ability to do 360 footage for instagram and the Insta360 Rs with the 4k lens, wide angle lens, and the 360 lens just covers more of what I’m looking to do
@@frederickhunter9007 it’s worth checking out the x3 too because it does what the RS does but in a smaller/ lighter form factor. Knowing what I know now I would’ve bought the x3 instead

There's a great company based out of the EU that makes great mods for the S73. They're called Forty Customs. Check in with them when you get a chance. They might have a local upholstery place that can make a similar seat. Hope this helps
