So stoked on this video and the direction of the channel!! Day in the life reviews and interviews feel so fulfilling and exciting to me (and the team) - can't wait to make more!! Hope you're loving them!! Open to any and all feedback !!!!
I'm living the everyday life reviews! Especially one for headphones. It's really interesting how the audio was edited. I'm surprised Shokz didn't make it into this video. As someone who can't use earnings because they cause me ear infections and who doesn't necessarily always want over ear headphones on all the time, they're truly not something to leave home without.
You done so well on the audio situation despite the various noise places. I really like the direction of doing live out of studio action packed review, it's fresh above all active and very very great to keep ever great content on your channel.. well done to you and all the nbt team..
This video is incredibly informative and well-produced. I especially appreciate the way you break down complex concepts into easy-to-understand terms. I also like that you include real-world examples to illustrate your points. Overall, this is an excellent video that I highly recommend to anyone interested in learning more about tech
Wow this video was ❤🔥I feel like I know so much about headphones now. My favorite part was when you turned on noise canceling for the viewer in the train - I'm still trying to figure out how you did that haha. Great choice wearing the flannel for the thumbnail! Btw, I think we've seen our last hot day on the east coast and it will be fall weather 🍂from here on out! You're doing a great job of expanding out your content but staying true to your brand. Have a good rest of the day/week!
Kind of surprised you features the Sony M4's when the Sennheiser Momentus 4's are similar in a lot of aspects but also superior in battery life and noise filtering/cancelling, as well as in superior audio quality in my opinion at the same price point. I say this as someone who tried the M4's before buying the Momentus 4's, which I still use for everything when I decide to use wireless headphones.
Fantastic video! I received the AirPods Max as a gift, and I absolutely adore them. They do lean on the heavier side, so if you're aiming for a more lightweight and compact travel option, they might not be the top choice. Personally, I find the AirPods Pro 2 to be a superb alternative, striking a great balance between travel convenience and noise-cancelling prowess. For best overall, I've always recommended the XM4 because I always heard excellent things about them even with the XM5s being out, although I haven't had the chance to try them myself.
The XM5 isn't that much of an improvement over the XM4 especially with the updates and etc that makes the XM4 a winner overall! I have both the XM4 and XM5. I went crazy for the XM5 thinking it would be a noticeable improvement but in my case. Definitely not worth the over all upgrade...As far as the whole studio sound. The XM5 and even the XM4 is js just as good if not better than the airpod max even base on various testers and reviews. The XM5 can easily bought for cheap considering sales are always going on. That whole "stage" sound is more an emulation where both Apple and Sony offer comparable features but if lightweight, noise cancellation and transparent sound is your go to...I would save the money and purchase an XM5 any day over the airpod max. I like the headband of the XM4 over the XM5 because it hugs my head more.
Great video! As a headphone enthusiast, I definitely use different headphones for certain use cases. I'm not a fan of earbuds so one thing I'd recommend for workout is having an open-ear headphones like Oladance Stereo since it provides a nice balance of awareness and good quality music.
Great video by you and your team, definitely liked the audio transitions and the day in life aspects really shines for headphones/earbuds. How would you compare the Pixel Buds Pro and Galaxy Buds2 Pro in terms of utility, commuting, workout and excellent bluetooth studio-like sound? Also I do think you should grab the Sony XM5. Maybe grab all of those and more for a future part 2 video?
Jlab buds are amazing for the price! I sent my Sony XM4 for warranty replacement and got Jlab in the meantime and I was blown away by how good they are for the price. Oh and the thumbnail _did_ come out cute even if you were overheating. 😊
Sony has always been my goto headphones. Mine are kinda old. Might be time to update. I just bought a Pixel7 as a 2nd phone so I got the Pixel Buds, too. I like em.
I have both the XM4 and XM5 by Sony! Both are terrific headphones...the XM4 with its update and hopefully continual update will keep it as an ongoing contender for anyone wanting to save a few bucks. However I would totally recommend the XM5 over the XM4 just because you can easily grab a pair of XM5 at Target for $319.99 versus the inflated $399.99 shown everywhere else. Sound isolation, noise cancellation, fitting...its a small step in all the right direction with the XM5. I would not recommend wearing it during sunny days whether you are walking or running....my ears would sweat like heck! My purpose on getting the Sony XM4/5 is because the majority of my music collections are either high quality mp3 or flac files and when you are really wanting to experience every little element in a song from the artist's voice down to the instruments used. Yes, its worth it even if you tell yourself that you can't tell the difference. There is a general difference, difference that in my opinion worth getting especially if you like good music. While we are on that note, if we are talking stage emulation or 360 reality (emulation)....hands down, both the airpod max and the XM5 are very capable but overall winner...after trying my friend's airpod max. I would still lean towards the XM5 for high fedelity sound. With a $200 dollar price difference, that isn't a small difference that nearly half! Money that could have been better spend elsewhere instead towards something that has more marketing power behind it.
Fantastic info! Please do one for smart watches, especially for android users. I have been looking for a smart watch for a while but nothing jumps out at me. You can do categories like Daily Casual, Active (dry), Active (underwater), Classy, etc.
Great video. I have been thinking of getting some decent over ear headphones. My daily drivers are the OG AirPods Pro currently for all things apple as well as my Windows EliteBook. That said, I have been really tempted by some of the over ear options lately and am going to be keeping a sharp eye out when Cyber Monday rolls around this year.
I got a lot from the review. I'm just wondering about the pass through features though. Does it work while you're listening to music or a podcast or do you just pause/stop and just leave the earbuds in/headphones on? Thanks!
Yay so happy it was helpful!!! So on the AirPods Pro it filters in the outside environment and mixes it with ur music/podcast:)) is that what ur asking? If not happy to answer something else!
@@NBTJacklyn thanks! That's exactly what I needed to know about the AirPods Pro. I had some GalaxyBuds when I had a Samsung and it supposedly had pass through but I couldn't hear anything when the music played but I could hear a bit when it was off. Maybe they were defective. Right now I have the Pixel Buds A to go with my Pixel 6 and wish I'd bought the Pixel Buds Pro with pass through. Again, thanks!
I understand that all Bluetooth headphones have a type of latency. Some low, others high and people dedicated to professional audio have told me that wired headphones are better and gold plug, which makes the audio sound incredible. Although they are more expensive, they are more effective. I know, you need a dongle to use the 3.5mm Jack, but still the sound is superior to any Bluetooth headset on the market.Could you make a Top Headphones with cable and gold plug?I also wanted to tell you that in a video on TH-cam, I learned that the people at JBL recommended trying the headphones with the Tracy Chapman song Fast Car, because it gave everything you needed to listen all the goodness of the treble, bass and vocals of each hearing aid, as well as testing the equalization channel by channel. Greetings from Mexico City México 🇲🇽
I'm upgrading from some well used XM3s and find my ears press so much against the mesh and plastic of the speaker. I'm wondering if Airpods Max have more space inside for your ear?
Good picks BUT you forgot to add sound quality as a category for commercial headphones and the winner is SENNHEISER MOMENTUM 4 > AirPods Max + Sony XM4/5 combined together.
These are the best Headphones from major Companies, I have tried various headphones from little known companies that provide better build and sound quality for Half the price.
I use both an iphone and an android (Samsung S22 ultra) and prefer to pair my airpods pro (V1) with the Samsung. Might just be my perception, but I find the airpods pair almost immediately with the Samsung but take more time with the iphone, and also it seems the Samsung pushes more volume (richer sound ?) into the airpods than the iphone. I really didn't care for the airpods pro and hardly used them until I tried pairing with the Samsung. Now I use them all the time. Great video - interesting and to the point.
I just stick with my Nothing Ear 1's & now the even better, the Nothing Ear 2's. Just hard to beat, everything else your paying for the name. For when I'm mowing on my loud Zero Turn Mower & my Chainsaw work. I use the Tao-Tronics OTE headphones. Nocks out all the noise.
You really should have named this a wireless headphone roundup. Wired headphones are still a thing and will smash most of these for sound quality. A fiio btr5 and a $70 to $150 set of iems would put all these to shame. And they are still technically wireless.
the pixel buds a are pretty good for $100 and then we have the galaxy buds 2 that sound better than the jbl. The beats studio for $130 on sale also sound better than the jbl and then theres the galaxy buds pro 2 also. All of these aound better than the jbl. No mention of the bose qc 2 earbuds or the bose qc45 headphones that you can prob get for less than the xm4. Some strange omissions
AirPods Pro 2 great sound transparency mode and I had the Sonys before amazing sound quality very comfortable for commuting travel 🧳 and also the AirPods Max is amazing sound quality and transparency 😊 mode so amazing and noise canceling is incredible I definitely agree you should try beats fit pro 🎧
This channel is a breathe of fresh air

I'm glad y'all are loving the audio transitions at 1:26! Appreciate y'all!
⚡️appreciate ur excellence !!
1:26 that was so sick haha
Hahaha thank you so much - we had a lot of fun working on it!! Props to Scott for making it come alive !!
Kudos for modeling the head/earphones, a lot don't. And the low tech giant memo pads for high tech devices was a cool touch.
Great video. My favorite Gym headphones in 2023 are the new Beats Studio Pro and for running the Shokz OpenFit
Definitely Want this to be done with Smartwatches....and with Cars (that'd be really Kool ! )🙃✨

shes not really an audiophile or an audio reviewer i think

Love your day in the life videos Jacklyn, always loads of information about the products..looking forward to your next one 😀🙏

Definitely want to see the smart watch comparisons.
Awesome job jacklin
My most favourite headphones ever is the black Sony WH-1000XM4 i adore them so much that the noise cancelling on the headphones are fantastic.

Had the beats Powerbeats pro for a couple of years and had so many problems with them, when they work and sync they are good for workouts

great video! as someone who owns the XM4,5 Airpods Max, Airpods Pro 2, beats fit pro and more, I totally agree with your findings :)
Thanks for sharing your suggestions. Blessings on your day!
awesome video, I find your video-style so natural and effortless 👌🏻

Hey Jacklyn, amazing video! Would you do the WXM5 vs Bose QC Ultra?
Buying headphones is a pain lol after a long time I finally settled for the galaxy buds 2. Great review
Great review thanks! For airplanes would the Airpod pro be enough sound blocking? Or need like M4?
Hmmm they are definitely usable - I use them a lot on flights, but if you want a more full isolation an over ear def is the better bet
@@NBTJacklyn thanks! M4 or Bose?

Sony wh1000xm4 or wh1000xm5 are my favs in my collection.
Love it!! What are the biggest differences you notice between them?
I own both the black Sony WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM4. their noise cancellation is fantastic

Can you do a video on smart watches please ❤
Idk why but my AirPods always fell out of my ear so I switched to the Powerbeats Pro and they are much better.
Definitely have heard of some people just not being able to get a good enough seal
I have the sony for 2y now, but i was never happy about the sound quality

Hello
correct, best "wireless" headphones.
Nice
You ever get recognized in public from your channel?
Yesss:) has been so much fun and an honor
Don’t think you white-balanced your camera
your primary phone
No one buy any of these expensive headphones all ripoff. Buy soundcore space q45 for $130 audio quality on par with xm5 and anc on par with xm4
Off topic: Buy a bike. All my friends who run for exercise when they were young are gettin knee replacements now.
Ah things u hate to hear :((
How much were they running?!
Well, actually a lot. One was a track star.
These aren't cheap lol
plz spot me mem
