With some tinkering within Apple's iPhone settings, you can get the APMs to be reasonably close to something like the H95, so I would suggest those if you want the best sound quality and NC without spending nearly 1k, only if you're an Apple user of course. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest it's worth the splurge to buy something higher end like the headphones I listed earlier if you have the means, as it will save you a lot of time from dealing with lesser products that you will inevitably desire more from if you care about sound quality.
This goes well into the direction of audiophoolery. Those are headphones meant for a mobile lifestyle. With surrounding noises from wind, traffic, other people talking and so on. So what does it help to spend B&W kind of money? Nothing for almost everybody, imho. The Airpod Max is too ugly for me. Plus the always on thing Issa NO for me and even its in the case ITS STILL ON PLUS NO WIRED OPTION. And its too heavy.
Just replaced my broken AirPods Max with the Focal Bathys. After a few weeks of using them I’m extremely happy with my decision. So much better battery life, actually have an off switch, and the sound quality is absolutely incredible for Bluetooth headphones. Plus they have a wired DAC if you want to get even better performance. The only area I think the AirPod Max is better is the transparency mode and the magnetic ear pads are kind of slick. But the soft leather memory foam ear pads on the Focals are a lot more comfortable.
Thing I never understand is how people will say to never buy beats, then immediately turn around and say you should buy Sony headphones. That makes no sense because out of all these Sony headphones sound like beats with a little bit more high end range to it. Absolutely baffling
yes. I've tried the XM4s so I can say this from personal experience, they are an absolute scam. They're just muddy, no mids at all, build quality is bad and they're way too expensive for what they offer. Ffs even the beats have a flatter frequency response. The noise cancelling is the only decent part, but if you want that, get the quiet comforts. Those are even better
Great review…out of all the headphones tested here…which, in your opinion, had the best call quality? Needing to buy a wireless headphones for work mainly for calls, the rest is of less importance. I am leaning towards the Sony WH-1000XM5s

So should I get the H95 or not 😫 I can’t for the life of me decide. I’ve watched and read every comment and review there is. The only thing that worries me is that I heard the bass can be a bit much and vocals can be bit muted. But I love the design and I also heard if you’re a music lover these are a good pair. Some one help 😅
Focal bathys. Unreal sound. First wireless noise canceling headset, where the sound quality didn't make me go. Yes, that's wireless with noise canceling. Unbelievable job by focal.
Didn't mention anything about ear pad size and if they are suitable for small or large ears. Having the pads sit on the ear (becasuee the ear pads are small) causes discomfort with extended use. Ideally the ear should sit on the inside of the pads and some headphones have more room than others. This was a good comparison, but there are so many more headphones you should have included like Philips, Skullcandy and Audio Technica to name a few.
It's a shame the Edifier Stax Spirit S3 , aren't part of the test. They may not have active noise cancelling but the passive noise cancelling is quite good and the sound and mic is superb. 80hrs of battery, over 90hrs in some test.
You could have done a real sound test for the music... im sure the viewers wouldve appreciated it. I want to hear the difference between the JBL vs Sony. I have mx5's but im giving them to my wife, i want to make sure what type of MUSIC SOUND QUALITY I'll be getting... are they Better or on Par with the Sony's. Im not the biggest fan of the Sony sound Qualidy for music, theyre good, but they dont have that PUNCH from the bass i yearn for.
visually the xm4s are nicer than the 5s the little bars at the corner are ugly plus it doesn't even fold so it's not as compact. I wish they used the same design as the xm4s

Sennheiser Momentum 4
Bose QuietComfort Ultra
Bose QuietComfort Headphone
Bose QuietComfort 45
Sony WH-1000XM5
Sony WH-1000XM4
AirPods Max
Thank you. Hope you make a new video for the headphones compare. 🙏🏽🙂
I am not sure about the durability of others but I am listening to this with my beats series 3 and after 5 years they still kicking which is my longest lasting headphones ever. While not wow, the durability did it for me.
Sound quality goes to sennheiser, momentum 4’s they are 2nd to non when it comes to sound quality to price ratio
Fun fact... No one in comments talking about how good JBL Tour One M2 is I was planning to go with XM5 but I ended up buying JBL I never believed JBL and can beat Sony.
Because JBL can’t beat Sony.
@@skyhero1888 it's not about who can beat who but how satisfied are you and what value it's providing. In my case I tried both and have some friends with me as well we all agreed with JBL being a VFM tbh wasn't a JBL fan anyway but this changed my perspective.
What I consider the most stunning thing of this video is that my laptop has Bang & Olufsen speakers and your video was one of the few that took advantage of this quality of speakers. I'm stupidly amazed. Jesus Christ, my best regards to whom editted the sound of the video. Wow! Btw, nice content ;)
I subscribed because how great this video was straight to the point and talked about headphones I didn’t even know or heard about ,10/10 I hope the other videos on this channel are like this or I’m unsubscribing haha
I loveeeeee your VDO. Your review is pretty insane. Please keep doing this. World need you ❤
This is such a good review video!! Thank you!
You welcome!
your ear is sticking out the bottom of the bose 700's please adjust headset
I think you gave the Bose too much hate, specially the design, I think less is more and they look premium and clean
No one can beat SENN M4 when it comes to sounding better even than AIRPOD MAX❤☝🏻❤️
Sony XM5 already beat Sennheiser in sound quality. And don't compare features of Sony with Sennheiser😂🤣🤣🤣. You are sooo late 😂😂😂😂😂
@@rjalanmontage1784 clean your ears first sir I have those cans ☝🏻❤️
@@jeid3822 and you clean your bullshit mind bro. Sony XM5 has LDAC Audio codec which is the top audio codec in the world. Sony XM5 sounds are only compare with Airpods Max...no any other brands. I think your Ass got fired up when you heard XM5 better sounds than SENN M4 😂😂😂😂
Yes skull candy! They are louder
@@jeid3822 We don't know what you're talking about, but he's right anyway, at least for me, I find that Sony is better in general
Sony MX5 had by far better mic quality
I have the Sony XM5. I do not say it is the number 1, i use it for watching tv but not only sound is important for me, also the ear cushion are important and i love it , sony has good ear cushion, also by theire gaming headphone by the H9 (not the H7), great ear cushion.
Air pods max are to expensive and overrated for me.
TLDR: These all have something good to offer except the Beats 😂
I had the Sony XM-4 and was very unhappy with the build quality and plastic feel, swapped for the Bose 700 and am extremely happy with my decision, they are much better quality imo.😊
i was thinking about getting the sony XM4, so you wouldnt recommend them?
@ayotsukki3887 would get the momentum 4s for audio and anc wise would be bose qc45
@@alifhaikal9510 i would want to use my headphones in the gym mainly, maybe thats an important point to consider
@@alifhaikal9510 what about the new skullcrushers that just released compared to the xm4s ?
i would want to stay in that price class of ca 200 euro
I agree I had a pair , if your a gym rat don’t use these headphones in the gym , won’t last long
Bose qc45 weren’t there, but for me they’re one of the best
Sony nailed it
Nah
Jbl definitely sounds the best by far!!! For the mic quality.
Sony and Bose tied for me. For Noise canceling.
The Airpod Max is too ugly for me. Plus the always on thing Issa NO for me and even its in the case ITS STILL ON PLUS NO WIRED OPTION. And its too heavy.
I wish the headband part the sony's was still more broad.
For Apple's price the battery life should be better.
Best option for me was the JBL's or the Sony's
Great comparison, nice one thank you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Just replaced my broken AirPods Max with the Focal Bathys.
Best comparison video for headphones ❤. Gonna subscribe.
For ANC, what I heard was, the Sennheiser and JBL were the best. They were the quietest. The Sony are among the worst.
This guy said he never owned an Apple Watch while simultaneously wearing an Apple Watch
I was going to buy xm4 now Im thinking should ı buy jbl tour one m2?
Thank you for this well explained video 🙏🏾💪🏾
I would love to have all the songs you used to review these. I like the examples :D
Incorrect, the AirPods Max do "turn off" without the case, it just takes 5 minutes. Not ideal, but it does work
I really don't know you but this is Best headphones review I've ever seen, thank you very much 🙏❤️❤️
We are glad you liked it! 🥳 Don't forget to subscribe, so you get notified for our next headphone comparison! 😊
Damnnnn! Look at that NC for AirPods Max. I am so happy I have one. Unbeatable for noise cancelling. ❤🔥
I agree
Great review…out of all the headphones tested here…which, in your opinion, had the best call quality? Needing to buy a wireless headphones for work mainly for calls, the rest is of less importance. I am leaning towards the Sony WH-1000XM5s
Microphones on Bluetooth devices all sound pretty crappy so the call quality will be pretty standard across the board. However, you should definitely go for the Xm5s in my opinion
@@uncler1y416 thanks and while that is true, I noticed that for some of the headphones, the mic quality was not as clear in comparison to the others in this review. This could also be a TH-cam effect but after testing the XM5s, I found their call quality was good and clear so have since ordered them.
@@cmathieu how have you liked them
@heberd.4986 Love them...I have been using them every day for the last month and I love the comfort level and call clarity. So far no complaints from callers even in windy conditions
I have an unusual question: what wireless headphone is the best for console gaming, just single player without multiplayer/chats etc for a beautiful sound without disturbing other family members/babies etc? (I mean out of the gaming headsets category)
They’re also not $750 anymore they’re 1k 💀😔
Focal bathys. Unreal sound. First wireless noise canceling headset, where the sound quality didn't make me go. Yes, that's wireless with noise canceling. Unbelievable job by focal.
Have them, and love them. Haven’t picked up the Sony’s since I got them.
Agree, I keep trying to find the ones that cover the ear the best…
It's a shame the Edifier Stax Spirit S3 , aren't part of the test. They may not have active noise cancelling but the passive noise cancelling is quite good and the sound and mic is superb. 80hrs of
battery, over 90hrs in some test.
But the build quality is terrible. They creak and fall apart
Because edifier are poor headphones.
Pity you didn’t test the bowers & wilkins px7 S2 I have these and Bose and Sony and the B&Ws have the best sound quality Nice review
Sony & JBL has extremely good mick
100% agree will be getting the xm4s soon !!
Thumbs up!!! The work behind this video, can't imagine
Deep down I know I should get the xm5 but there is something about the air pods max🥺 It is like a toxic relationship. You know you shouldn‘t but you want to😂
I’m in the same freaking dilemma lol
Omg did you decide which one to get? I’m stuck between the two as well 😭😭
heyy! so, I finally tested the xm5s on my own, it had a dull, more rolled-off sound, while on the other hand, the instrument separation on the airpods max was incredibly clear, not as bright as I had anticipated, but well balanced & perfect laid-back presentation. I would thus go for the airpods max:).
@@TwisteeMistee but I have to wait for Christmas😄
I'm suggesting that you don't get it, other headphones have better quality, cheaper, longer battery life and lighter
Excellent content and presentation
My Sony's XM3 broke down (fell apart due to plastic being used). Before that I had 85 Euros Sennheisers which had a better sound quality and better build quality. Gonna buy the Sennheisers, Sony support didn't even try to get me helped so I had to put tape on it
Great content! Thanks 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
Such an informative video, love it!
Next time you do a review like this, add movies from a laptop or tablet. It’s one thing I use my Sonys for the most.
Thanks for the most better video on bluetooth headphones, excellent!
But, I am find here one or two minuses, in generaly!
First; you not take in list Bowers&Wilkinson and Mark Levinson headphones, which is over 1000.00 USD.
Second; too less details, especialy which kind bluetooth each headphones have, did have 5.1, or 5.2, or higher or Lover?!?!
In the future, please reconsider involve this important details in this kind that quality YT video, thanks in advance my man!!!!!
I can't decide between the xm4, xm5 and the bose quietcomfort se. Which headphones should I get? For me it is important that it is comfortable but also that the quality is there. Which ones should I not miss? could you please help me
The new Bose headphones are crap the Sony xm 5 too ,xm 4 sounds better than xm5.
Xm5 get broken always on the same spot ,better go with xm 4 and this eq setting.
• +1 at 400Hz
• +2 at 1kHz
• +2 at 2.5kHz
• +3 at 6.3kHz
• +2 at 16kHz
And clear bass on +1 ( if u want more bass just set it up )
You didn't, mention the apps and the customization of each headset
Urbanears don't sell the Plattan 2 in black wireless anymore. I loved them, cuz they were minimal and modern looking. Do u have any recommendations for minimal style headphones?
Awesome way of reviewing headphones in a video!
Sony was great for call. The most clarity handsdown
Which is the best choice for comfort and music quality?
sony
I would buy the AirPods Max 2 when it comes out!
Bose have almost 200 euros discount, 233 euros at the moment, should i go for them or bang and olufsen or Sony xm4? All same price here
Which one good for Audio books?
I cant agree with the mic results. Momentum 4 definitely didnt sound the worst.
Skullcandy not good at all?
Amazing dude 😎
Brand new Sennheiser momentum 4 for 300 bucks or open box JBL tour one m2 for 170 bucks
Where is B&W?
Can you make a list of the most durable best build quality whit best sound
I just got Beats Studio Pro in the mail, sending them back! I need help. I want headphones that cover my whole ear too, and good noise cancelling. Skullcandy, Bose QC, orrr? Help lol
I need a wireless headphones but with capability of making video-call via USB-C on Windows / Mac, not via Bluetooth.
Can you suggest any of these are able to do that?
best choice, focal bathys
I have a Jabra headset at work, no way I would spend my own money on that.
Apple and the Beats are at the end! Best is Sony and JBL
