Recommendation from someone that has bought eBay headlights in the past, seal them with silicone on the outer edges because they tend to sweat inside the headlight housings, they also sometimes leak water in when you wash the truck or it rains. They look pretty freaking sweet both the front and the back.
You should thoroughly check the headlights and taillights for being waterproof. Especially where the lens is glued to the body. A lot of the inexpensive aftermarket lights tend to leak. You can also get an electronically controlled flasher unit that will cure the hyper Flash. It's way easier than adding ballast resistors to each corner of the vehicle.
You should leave the original lights. The update lights look out of place and detract from these great vehicles. They do need better light output so do like I did and retrofit hid projectors into the original lights. The tailights merely need attention and some replacement parts due to condensation/corrosion.

In my state the tail pipe has to extend all the way back to the rear bumper to keep fumes from entering the cabin. Do not run your car while camping in the back without running a proper and longer tailpipe.
How does it run? How many miles on the engine? Have you thought about installing a rebuilt 4.7? After you install a new motor all you'll need are bushings for your suspension and essentially your Jeep will run and ride like new
Yeah I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee LIMITED I rebuilt every thing in I just put another engine which is the second engine I bought for it ..I put the factory headlights on they miss up on me so got to buy another set I spent 11,000 putting my jeep together
Nice example of refreshing the old ride with a few after market parts to make it feel like new. I probably would have used a sound measuring device (I'm sure you can get a phone app that could approximate the same function) to test which add on was loudest, of course between the garage and the road there'll always be a difference.
17:42 if you are hanging your exhaust off the frame with that strapping you are going to get an annoying buzz in the cab. The exhaust has rubber hangers for a reason. There are aftermarket rubber hangers that isolate the exhaust from the body.
Hope you still have the Jeep I absolutely love my 2004 Not trying to be “that Guy” But The way you are riding the Jeep up on those ramps Is extremely Dangerous Please Jack one side up and turn one of them 180 degrees So the Jeep Can’t roll off and smash you flat ( saw that happen) Luckily the guy wasn’t hurt Because there were people in the shop that literally held the car up off of him Until a floor Jack lifted the car up enough to be able for him to slide out Jeep looks great And sounds great
I have the same tail lights on my 2004 but I didn't get the smoked look. Mine are clear with black housings. I've had them for 2 years and never wired the LED's haha! This makes me want to do it. I guess you can choose either the brake or parking wire to wire to. The tail lights have been excellent so far. My VIPMotoz headlights have not been the best. One low beam has failed. Gonna upgrade to the Akkon bar LED style soon.

I would've kept the stock exhaust piping going out the back, trust me even with the glasspack you had on it, if you kept the original piping you would've had the great sound with zero drone. Anything is going to drone being dumped under the cabin really
Great video! The old WJs really look good with a little updating. I have a '99 WJ that I updated. Really fun to work on. I did it all if you want any advice. New 2.5 lift, shocks, springs, wheels/ tires, headlights, taillights, exhaust, throttle body, programmer, stereo system, blacked- out emblems, mini RV conversion, etc. Good luck with yours!

Seems like those rain guards may just fly off since the adhesive was coming off with the tape... Might be good to get some real 3M double sided adhesive and re-do all of those guards. Just... ya know... IMO.
The taillight "winking" is actually a problem with the brake lights contact either being misaligned or worn out, I bent mine back and soldered it a little bit to make the contact larger and it fixed the issue of the brake light not working when the headlights are on
I got a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited with the 4.7 liter v8. 155,000 miles. Near perfect interior. Bout to make it dope like this. It has the quadratic 2 . 4 low and 4 all time transfer case. Pretty sweet
As far as headlights goes it's hard to bet a nice new set of factory originals. Secondly nothing looks worse than stickers on windows clean that sh*t off lol Clean and respectable that's how WJ's should be lol
Nice, I like those headlights. Just got an 04 and the first thing I did was tires and rims. Currently waiting on rear shocks and a 2" lift goes on. M11 off-road makes some nice brackets to mount pillar lights, $45 bucks. I haven't found a set of pod lights that I like. Does anyone have any recommendations? The tires and rims I upgraded to, they filled out the wheel wells perfectly with minimum rub on the fender liner, on stock suspension. A 2" lift is in the works to have it sitting even prettier. Soooo question I have 2000 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo mmm I have fog lights they have wires an all but I can’t find the switch to turn them on I tryed pulling in my light switch but still no it’s like don’t wanna pull out? Is there another way do this on these jeeps or?
Cut your muffler off and then complain it's to loud. Not hating just don't make no sense lol. I cut my muffler and resonator or third cat thing and then dumped it out the side. Sounds great. Some people just have different taste I guess. I just like to here a V8. I mean if I got it mine as well let it growl.

Cool lights. I feel like a bigger, and about $370 cheaper upgrade would've been to get rod of the window stickers in the back and go over all the bumpers and trim with for example Gtechniq C4
A. It's not the muffler that's drone-y, it's your installation. You have your pipe pointed down to the ground under your chassis, sounds are going to hit the ground and come straight back up. B. You need your exhaust extended to go away from your vehicle, that CO2 you expel from your exhaust is now coming inside of your vehicle, you need to fix that before you get poisoned. Hence why every OEM exhaust has a tip pointed past the rear bumper. C. With as much wiring as you do, you should invest in a large kit of wire plug and connectors. This will allow you to make plugs so you can unplug things and not solder things together or use cheap butt-connectors. Most plug/wire kits are waterproof and dust-proof as well. C2. Example: www.amazon.com/HIFROM-Female-Waterproof-Electrical-Connectors/dp/B077779CZR/ Bonus D. If you really want to get DIY-ish, you could get a microcontroller/circuit board and make your 3 amber running lights (the turn signal/daytime running lights that are yellow) and make them sequential. I just purchased a 2004 DubJ with 71,000 miles, and the first thing I installed was a Millennial Anti-Theft Device. I changed the transmission from an automatic to a manual transmission. Nice video, THANKS
Great video, painting the grey plastic with bed liner paint is a brilliant idea as the standard finish on that plastic always looks terrible even after a wash, that will be my next job. Thank you

Definitely try to extend the exhaust back to its stock length it will still sound nice and be way safer for the engine

You don't want your exhaust fumes pooling up under the car and then rolling up into your open windows when stopped with the engine running 😮

Clear coat that bed liner or it will fade over time.
Be careful of carbon monoxide from your short exhaust

The doors come off couple bolts and wire snips
New headlights and tail can def go along way. Luckily my wj already had both swapped but urs look clean af. I litery have the same white.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning IS a thing. Extend that exhaust and get those fumes passed your bumper.
Next, add a car stereo, and a sport air filter and give it a tune for a little more Horsepower.

Will the scanner work on a 2002 limited? Tried the automend pro and wouldn’t work and trying to avoid paying 200 for a decent obd2 reader.

If you don’t like the exhaust droning don’t do what I did, muffler delete on a 04 grand Cherokee limited. Has the 4.7 V8 and it’s loud as heck😂
