Cool video! I also own a 2004 WJ Limited 4x4 with the 4.0 i6. Just recently hit 100k miles. Near mint condition, I love it. They really are great cars. Best part is no car payment.
Some great angles on this video. Fine camera work. Chrysler did a nice job with the paint on these years. The 99 through 2004. Many of the colors were they given even a little bit of care. Still look vibrant. Keep those nice videos coming. Thank you!
I like everything about this video! Beautiful and interesting trails and nice Jeeps. I'm not fan of too big lift kits and tires. Greetings from Croatia!
If you want the best get a 4.7 Quadtrac 2 with Aussie rear lockers...2 to 2.5 inch lift with good tyres and you be a very happy person offroad. With any lift get an adjustable track (pan) bar, recommended lift spec front and REAR sway bar connectors.... both, this is a MUST. Upgrade your balljoints and make sure all the Bushes are great, especially all the control arms and change the engine mounts. This means no death wobble ever. If you go 3inch lift or more then it's time for $$$$ and many other things. Always good to get the upgrade drive shaft no matter what. With V8 power and that rear locker you will keep up / beat all the new expensive shiv out there and you get to DRIVE it... No nanny aids on these bad boys, all about the driver and machine....Girls should stay away 😂
I just got a 00 wj, can’t say I’m unhappy with it. Everything works. Thankfully being so old it’s just a 2wd so the important bits have been away from crazies like us 😂
You want to wake up the HO, throw some 12 hole injectors in it and Bosch platinum +4 plugs (little hard to find, look for 4428) in it and you'll bark all 4 tires leaving a light. I'm looking at one to throw a 6" IRO life on and do a t case swap to the select track. It would be the 7th and probably final WJ I've ever owned.
I looked up New Albany. It popped up Ohio. That don't look like Ohio and y'all don't sound like you're from Ohio. Anyway. WJ's are awesome. I've had my 99 WJ since 05 and it's still my DD.
@@terrystratford1235yeah you have to change out shaft to later model Cherokee or it kills the bearings thought that was common sense when you change a whole drive line angle 😂
My issue with this is that the Overland was meant to be LOWER than the standard JGC. They were fast, and handled well. Chuck a lift on an Overland, and it seems to me you've defeated the purpose. They were meant to be a fast Jeep, but also be acceptable on and off road. Plus they had a mean crackle in the factory exhaust,
I’ve owned 3 wjs and 2 of them were 4.0 and my current one the 4.7 and motor wise the 4.7 is my choice for sure. It’s a very good motor when paired with this wj.

This just makes me want to off-road my WJ more 😭🤣
great vid guys! I really enjoy the content of your channel! keep bringing those videos! I would love to try your trails! greetings from Scotland!

The lift and tires are absolutely necessary to straddle the stuff they call a trail.
@@jamesdewer I know and you're right. My Jeep is also lifted but I don't like too big wheels and lift kits.

I love the WJs.
I have a 2000 jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. 4.0, Quadra drive. 99k miles. 👍💪
Would love to see more WJ content. I have an 04 Overland also. 4” Iron Rock long arms.
very nice rigs man!!
that looks 4" and 33's..
🥰👌💪 Very good driver and very good and beautifull Cars
Looks fun as Hell! Wheels look well on the WJ. I remember these used to be hated because it wasnt a "Jeep" but a SUV for soccer moms.
Its probably the last good looking cherokee, xj is king to me though

Great camera work.
That blue jeep is stunning, I can't tell if you have a 1'.5in lift or a 2inch.

What off-road features were these available with?? I know the new ones have quadratrac/quadradrive, air suspension etc..
PLEASE HELP! i have a 2002 limited with the quadradrive, they said i can lift it at all because of the front drive shaft, is this true?
Lift it. I have 4 quadradrives lifted from 2.5 to 6 inches

Overland used 1" taller springs and were designed for overlanding. Meaning offroad trips.

WJ with Select-trac is more reliable though 😉
Best 4x4 system for the WJ. Gots me out binds from the range of options I could use.
