King Penguins in their HUGE colony - South Georgia Island

This is what a colony of 300,000 penguins looks like! This is the gigantic colony of penguins from St. Andrews Bay on South Georgia Island. It's a very magical place, filled with the sounds of King Penguins calling each other, fur seals barking, and (sorry about the background noise!) wind. Lots of each of these. Sit back and enjoy these beautiful King Penguins!

I’m actually quite optimistic about the colony at volunteer point since it’s remarkable that the colony is still growing steadily, possibly with faster growth I got he future. Maybe it could approach the tens of thousands within a few decades at that rate (if humans ever decide to stop the current climate crisis).
