    I can't believe how easy it's to remove it! Thanks for sharing. I have to check the variable resistor for the volume. It jumps back n forth when I raise the volume. It probably needs cleaning. Your video helps tremendously.😊

    You can get a plastic dash removal tool where it is impossible to scratch the panel at Harbor freight for about $2. It's way safer.

      Steering control does not work any more on the new radio. Other than that, this radio has been great for almost a year now.

    So you lost the functionality of the steering wheel controls and the Aux input? There are adapters to retain those you know...

    Thank you very much! This is the best video explaining the process very clearly. I've a question:
    Are the plastic front and sides covers shipped with the unit? They are not listed in the box contents!

    • @vuaeco

      They are not part of the unit. I had to purchase them separately. I put the link in the description

    Thank you! I followed this video and got it all working, but there is no audio from the front speakers! My 2004 Sienna LE had four different connectors in the back, and it looks like one of the other two were for the connection to the front speakers. Any suggestions how I can get the front speakers connected?

    orange = illumination, dimms radio at night, also wire nits should be used only at home, they might become loose over time with car vibration... heatshrink would be better even if you dont soldier the wires

    • @skeezy1207
      @skeezy1207 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually do waterproof butt connectors and heatshrink. Waterproof isn't necessary just an extra precaution I take for myself and my customers.

    Hi, what if I put it without casing?

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you don't care about the hole around the unit then that's no problem because it will work fine whether or not you have the casing. You still need to find a way to secure it though or it will fall out every time you accelerate!

    Where did you get the harness that doesn't fit this application? Crutchfield's? Wherever you did get the bad harness, I hope you corresponded with them. Nobody wants this to happen again. I see you have over 130,00 views. Maybe one of them had the same concern and contacted the manufacturer.

    Rule number one, you do not use metal tools to remove plastic parts! They're lots of affordable plastic tools that you can buy use.
