I’m getting ready to start my LS swap on my 944. Wondering how long it took you to get the conversion kit? I sent out a message to TPC but haven’t gotten a reply

Love it!!! A couple things that you will run into though. The truck accessory mounts will not fit a 944, to tall and wide. If you can find LS1 mounts they should work. You will need a car intake, and even then the throttle body will touch the center brace in the hood. And the obvious, There is no way the VW brakes, torque tube bearings and 1983 suspension will work with the V8. But you probably already know that. Carry On!!!

TBH, anything is possible. We personally chose to mate the Porsche transaxle with the LS considering it is the best option with weight distribution, availability on parts for the swap, not much fab work or custom work required. And its a common swap with the Porsche transmission- plenty done like this and support readily available.
Very interested in this swap. Just bought a 944 myself and I’ve been doing a ton of research about the swap. Excited to see it documented!
