What starter did you use?
How thick is the bellhousing to torque tube adapter on the outside of the bellhousing. Im trying to figure out how much in meed to machine my adapter down.
Do you know the thickness of the bellhousing adapter plate where they bolt together? The one i have is .600" thick. Looks like where the adapter bolts to the bellhousing is .250" thinner to compensate for the .250" spacer in-between the block and bellhousing.
How was the bellhousing modified? Other than the holes for the hydraulic lines, what needs done?
What oil pan did you use?
Do you have part numbers for the clutch kit you used?

where are you guys from in canada? i am collecting parts to do same and got renegade kit, when i inquired about doing hydroboost the owner emailed back in caps do not use hydroboost in the 944! any ideas why this could be dangerous as its what i wanted to do too
Send me a message on IG- ATantidote There are a few reasons why he could have said that. Depends on your build I am guessing and the person you’re buying swap parts from. There are multiple happy customers of Kent at TPC who are using Mustang Hydroboost with the kit and no problems.

Looks like an interesting build. What was the reasoning behind the 5.3 opposed to a chevy 5.7 or a Ford 4.6/5.0 or some other swap?
5.7 is doable, very similar setup. 5.3 is the cheapest as you can buy it out of a truck. Not sure about ford setups but there isnt much on swap kits out there for 944 ford setup.

On first fire up we had an issue with the fuel rail. There is a custom one being made up right now. The car should be back on the channel real soon!

So it will be a 928
That ITC valley cover is the biggest waste of money imaginable. It "makes the engine look pretty"until you put on the intake, throttle body and water pump, then you'll never see it again. ITC billet makes good parts, but this isn't one of them.
most dod delete kits come with that plate. I used regular timing gear without the vvt and replaced the cam and lifters. engine runs like an old skool ls engine

I'm impressed with the building can't wait to see it run specially with the turbo and the KL-ZE swap I have owned three second gen GTs nd 1 Gen GT answer this day I miss all of them i am currently trying to find one that is in decent shape im ready to build me a badass Kl engine with a Turbo setup. I own a 77 924 with a cookie cutter k swap bmw trans, its pretty gnarly and takes a beating.
Sadly it's not the first Kswap 924 to ever exist but it is on a list of about 3. I will say that the high Revs of the K24 will definitely be a problem for the gear ratios and overall design of the 944 trans and torque tube. Especially on a NA setup. Nice build and don't give up on it, then you'd wind up on a pretty long list haha.

WOW, YOU GUYS GOT AN OLD 924!!! I LOVE THEM! When you do you swap, remember that the 2.0 924's have a 20 cm drive shaft. Not a 25 cm driveshaft like your 944. The 924 chassis can't take all the power that the 944 can. But it can easily take 2 or 3 times the power of the original engine. This should be great!

Yea I seen the video a few times. Just gonna finish up the basic swap in the car before instaling reinforcment parts where needed.
I would suggest you spend $20 for a couple of wireless mics. 😮
