The CG Essentials THANK YOU for explaining so simply and succinctly. Usually, there's a lot of theory but not a lot of practical examples of what you can do for not only the example given but as a building block for other things. Your explanation is AWESOME.
for some reason, my emissive gradient is relative to the camera, meaning it will shift as my camera moves as though the gradient is always ontop of the mesh and not actually static.
Hey! Really great videos. Do you know how to make a gradient start from the origin of an object and fade outwards in its normal direction? Like from a sphere or cube? I am trying to fade the edges of a volume cloud (a cube with a 3d noise texture) and can't get the edges to stop clipping. Thx!
Hi everyone! Let me know what you're using the gradient texture node for in the comments below! :)
This is the kind of content you're so good at. Taking a feature and breaking it down for us -- really appreciate the effort you put into these videos.

I know that im late but i spent like 1h 30 trying to figure out how to merge textures and colour gradients and this video FINALLY saved me. cheers
How to increase the render speed of blender. By making internal changes in the computer. Like increasing RAM or inserting SSD.

Can a gradient be added to the normals of an object instead of the object itself?
Is there a way to us the Gradient Texture to achieve the effect of the object gradually becoming opaque towards its core?
Is there any way of doing the reverse, instead of changing a gradient into a sharp edge, change a sharp edge into a gradient?
Sending much love, dawg! Amazing explanation!
How would I taper a gradient node texture. So its thin one end and thicker the other?
Thanks Justin! I'm applying this to a fog cube over a scene section. Very helpful!
Excellent tutorial! Kudos!
can we stretch the gredient texture ? thank you for answering
Instant sub. great vid
Thanks ! There is a way to mix existing materials instead of mixing simple texture ?
Yes you can use a Mix Shader node.
u the best 4real
nice
Nice!

ur tutorial is very easy to understand, thank you so much sir. ❤❤🙏🙏
Hello, how do I make the gradient go on the border of a noise texture?
Simply Great. Thanks
This is exactly what I need
Thank you!
Very good guide

Yo same
Still looking for an answer on this lol
Bad tutorial, doesn't work ! That's broke all image texture !
