Many amongst use aspire to be a TH-camr and make passive income from our skills. In this video, I help you understand the steps in takes to become an Influencer. Infact, becoming a TH-camr and content creator happened accidentally to me and I shall chronicle my first 100 days of it. More specifically, I will be sharing:
a) a tour of my studio
b) some stats on how my TH-cam channel has performed
c) my video niche-selection process
d) how I structure my video content
e) monetization opportunities on TH-cam & beyond
etc.
👉 Here’s the equipment I use when creating these videos. I have bought and tried all these and have not faced any issues so far and none of it has been under-utilised.
1. Main lights (you’ll need 2 of them) : amzn.to/3EIqyjt

3. Light stand (2 units) : amzn.to/3KIyFQS (I found a discounted 2 set pack)
4. Teleprompter (1 unit) : amzn.to/3EFdA68 (This is the cheapest one I could find & it’s pretty good)
5. Grey backdrop : amzn.to/3XXjpTi (I use these in my sofa setup)
6. Green screen (8 ft x 12 ft) and Stand (9ft x 9ft) Combo : amzn.to/3EGAbiB
7. Clamps : amzn.to/3Z2Z9Rz (This will hold the green and grey backdrops to the stands)
8. Boya lapel microphone : amzn.to/3Zm17Mv (This is sufficient & you can use for small-time recording and webinars too, no need of Rode wireless mic worth 20k)
9. Ulanzi small RGB light : amzn.to/3IWGxNp (Useful for adding a colourful light to videos & can be used to brighten room during webinars)

10. The next item is the camera .. and (surprise!) I don’t own a camera. My videographer gets his high-end camera (worth almost 2 lakhs) and charges me rent for that. His suggestion is: don’t purchase a camera online and check out the options at a camera shop. The shopowner can explain things better and pls note: different cameras show different types of colours. The other option (and recommended one) is for you to hire a videographer for your first 3-4 shoots & learn the ropes. I shoot an average of 3 videos per recording day which cost me approx. 2.5k per video
11. Editing is outsourced to ONO creators who have a team of editors working for them. My editor is based out of Jalgaon in Maharashtra and does a fabulous job. If you need to connect with ONO creators for editing work, then drop a note to Akhil Gupta at onocreators@gmail.com (some of their work can be seen at www.onocreators.com)
So these are the different parts of the infrastructure leg. The rest is upto you i.e. your title selection, your thumbnails, research, script, presentation, upload, description, commenting, community engagement .. and most importantly, managing your time and stress levels.

I have worked for 20 years in different companies across different functions .. and having tried it all, I can firmly say that content creation is my toughest assignment ever. So may I request, the next time you dislike a video or write a disrespectful/critical comment - please give a thought to the person who has put together the content. Infact I’m reminded of an African concept called Ubuntu .. maybe I’ll write about it in a community post

I have spent enough years, set aside days, on TH-cam as a content consumer and mostly as a platform to learn. Having seen so many finance TH-camrs who lack the quality of content, you are worth every second spent on the video as a content consumer. As a consumer every second spend on the platform is what we get to the table and most content creators do not value that. 1. I am still a solopreneur. For recording, I have a freelance videographer. For editing, there is a freelance editor. And there is a student intern whose assignment is coming to a close this month. That's it
2. I put in about 7 hours of effort everyday but it is spread throughout the day from 9 in the morning till 10 at night. Because this job requires the fullest use of the brain, breaks are important. I am more productive until lunch time & find time to go for a walk in the evening or play a game of football. Proper sleep in the key here.
3. The initial setup costed me about 40,000 rupees mainly on lights, teleprompter, props etc. which I explained in the video. Other than this, there is the running costs of editing, videography & paying the intern which comes to about 90,000 a month.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about editing. I tell my editor what to do and he comes up with the final output using tools like Adobe Premier Pro etc. But I can certainly create a Short to explain the SUBSCRIBE animation we do, thanks for the suggestion!

Hello Sridhar:
1. When I write my script, I have a clear idea how I want that scene to show up i.e. whether the scene would show me or a slide; if there would be any dramatization; if it's a slide then what will be in the slide etc. And when I am writing the script, I add notes to my script in blue color. For example - this very script you see (i.e. My First 100 Days) .. I am adding a link which has the instructions from 01:30 to 2:58 (docs.google.com/document/d/1kOOVhH9sb3-NoRc9penIyVuHAhLiWV11zuse3ZEdk4E/edit?usp=sharing). This solves 50% of the major task
2. Then for the remaining 50%, I create slides on powerpoint which my editor replicates on the video. Plus he has to add some elements, moving graphics as per reuqirements, he uses some of his creativity & experience and stitches everything together
There are many good channels to watch for this. I particularly like Primal Video and Film Booth

1. It's just me - that's why I said I need to find & recurit. Plus, there is Kartar (a freelance videographer) + Rohit (a freelance editor) + Charu (student intern whose assignment is coming to a close this month)
2. Youtubing gives me access to the 3 things I love - a) investing, b) teaching and c) creativity. I'm happy I found it in my early 40s and could transition to it.
