Definitely depends the country, in mine, Spain they get a nice salary 25K a year doesn't seem like much in other places but in mine you can get a nice apartment
This is going to be such a fun series! Something you could do to make each build less repetitive would be to add a special room for each career. For example, the chef gets the chef kitchen, an artist would have an art room, etc. That way they can be a little different each time!
i feel like for careers with similar budgets you just need to experiment with the style or architecture to make it "suit" the career, if that makes sense? like this makes sense for a chef/mixologist with a more industrial style, but say for a teacher you'd want to make it more classic suburban or have rooms for kids, etc. i'm excited for this series!!
@@Yfidap I’m pretty sure the kits were announced the day after I first commented this 😂😭. I immediately thought of her when the kits were announced lol
I think mixing up what level the career is would be good! So maybe you roll 1-10 and then whatever level you get you find that income level. Cause a level 10 actor vs a level 1 actor are vastly different. Also it would be fun to have some rentals where some (low) paying careers have units in the same building. That would make it more functional for gameplay to have multiple sims on the lot
I'd love to see a veterinarian's house! I'm in animal care so the vet career is the closest thing to it haha, this sounds like such a fun challenge btw! And the house looks really cool
What a cute series idea! Maybe you could make a trailer park for all the part time careers, since I doubt you could make a great house for how low paying those can be.
I love this! I wonder if for the "jobs" in the sims 4 (like barista, babysitter, etc.) you could do some kind of multi-family lot or dorm-like space or a roommate situation or something so that they are a little bit different than the "careers" in the sims 4 (NOT to say these jobs irl are any less important the other jobs, but they just function differently in the sims)
I love this concept! ❤ I found it funny you said a chef wouldn't play videogames, because my partner is super good at cooking and he also loves videogames 😆 That did give me the idea that perhaps to spice up the rest of this series you could add like randomised sim traits? Like a chef who's also a gamer, or a scientist who really loves kids, or a doctor who's a romantic, etc. It could add a little bit of challenge and add an extra element to differentiate the professions with similar budgets?
I love this build; I'm looking forward to watching the series. I do hope you keep going. I do know by watching cooking shows Chef's love having a garden out the back where they can grow fresh produce. Plus go to the markets extra
This is a fun video concept! When you do athlete, you should do a house with roommates from different sports. For example: a bedroom for a basketball player, baseball player, etc. it would be fun to see a sports inspired build.
As someone who enjoys watching a multitude of different sims creators, I absolutely love this series and don't think it matters if the professions you're working on are around the same salary base, simply because theres always a sort of creative personality behind your build. I say keep trying them all out. I'm a new subscriber to your channel and I'm excited to see more.
Delightful but "incorporating the egg painting into a room of every interior design style" HAS to be a future series right? I did NOT expect it to work so well in a moody industrial bathroom, I want to see more of this magic power of yours.
I build with the gallery in mind as well as playability. I want my builds to be used in regular gameplay so I imagine that the money they're using to purchase my build is earned not cheated. Not with all of my builds but most yes I aim for some sort of budget. Whether it's 20, 30, 50, 100k and so on.
You could make things a little more interesting with a adding mini challenges. Randomize the career, income type (Single vs dual), the number of sims, pet or no pet. Maybe it’s a single parent of 2 kids, maybe their your traditional single income but 2 adults and 1-3 kids, maybe their DINKWADs (Dual income, no kids, with a dog)? It would be cool to see what you could do with your budget! Loved the episode! Can’t wait for more. 🥰
great build and great series! i absolutely love the idea. though it would have been nice to put the dining room next to the kitchen for a more open plan concept, so that when the chef is cooking and having people over, he could easily be a part of/in the conversation with those eating. also would be helpful when he's carrying (or anyone's carrying) soups and large meals, he wouldnt have to travel a distance (from kitchen to living room to dining room, instead its ideal that its from kitchen to dining area). i think you could easily fit a living room and kitchen in the middle part of the house, which would do well when the sliding doors are open during a house party and there's a group of people inside and outside the house. also, a small office probably with chef books in that corner room where you placed the dining area. but otherwise, i love the exterior of the house and the way this housebuild went! i love this series, its fun to see such realistic budget in the sims, i agree, it makes it more fun and true to life! kudos!
I’m a marriage and family therapist, self employed (so I don’t have to see 10 clients a day to money in a bosses pocket). I have a masters degree, a license, and make around 60k a year. But after taxes and expenses, my take home is $500-600 a week. Crazy when mental health is so needed in our country. AND every insurance company that covers me, pays less than my out of pocket fee. AND I specialize in working with couples and families (obviously) and an individual session gets higher reimbursement than a couple or family. AND NO, each person isn’t billed- just one person the case is under. Hope this is inspiring!
Insurance companies are insane to me! They take our money and invest it. Make a ton of profits and then refuse to pay for services that we pay for. So they're making even more money since they pay so much less than the out of pocket costs. It's just mind boggling to me
@cosmiccookie9083 I'm not sure that changes how insurance companies pay out though. Maybe depending on the insurance company themselves but I work in the optical field and insurance companies pay us usually well under 50% of standard pricing. I had a friend who worked as a pharmacy tech and she said some insurance companies don't pay their balances at all for medication. I feel pretty comfortable saying across the board, insurance companies do not pay put the amounts they are supposed to. They pocket the difference and use that on top of their members' premiums to invest it and make profits for themselves. The more they can cut corners in payouts the more overall profits they take home.
Such a genius series idea I would have never came up with that alone! Would love to see the interior designer career with a maximalist style interior ❤
I love this concept. I would love to see anything honestly 😂. I’m a feline only veterinarian so would love to see your perspective of a vet’s house 😁. I personally have 4 cats and the my house has a lot of cat stuff. Salary depends on where you live honestly. But can be between 100-200k-ish but if you own your own practice or you specialize obvious more up to 280k~
I love this idea for a series! And I loved this house! Some interesting build ideas for different jobs could be like a nursery, an astronaut, and artist, maybe even construction worker? This is a fun concept
I love this series. I hope you will continue it with every career. You could add variety to the similar budget homes by having homes for sims with families or varying sizes.
I love your build series, can't wait for the rest of it. Also I hope you do builds for the part time jobs. I'd love to see one for the fast food worker.
I love this and I can’t wait to see the rest of the careers in game! You could even do houses for careers you’d want to see in the sims 😊 Loved this! 💕
Great build! I hadn’t realized how long it had been since you’d done a classic Doctor Ashley house. As soon as you brought out the Dine Out brick in the kitchen, i was like yep that’s Ash 😄
That is so cool! You could also build a house for two married working people living together and working with a budget of two! Such as a couple where one person is a lawyer and the other one a police officer, and so on. I think this could also be a nice idea! Love ur builds ❤
How about picking a country or aesthetic or adjective based on the initial of the occupation? For example, Chef can be Cute Chef, Chaotic Chef, or Canadian Chef.
I just stumbled on your channel and I ADORE your build style! You make the homes look so complete and as someone who can't build, that's super impressive! ❤
This chef's home is gorgeous! I love your idea of a career-based series restricted by the annual salary of the career concerned. The budgets and decor will vary a lot plus you are an extremely creative builder, so I don't think the series can get repetitive at all. I appreciate your mentioning which packs you are drawing items from and how you share you design decisions. All in all, a fabulous build video. Thank you for sharing. Can't wait for the next episode in this new series of yours.
5:33 Yep, that's definitely a square and totally not a circle 😂 Also, the stuff in the backyard is actually from Perfect Patio Stuff, not Backyard Stuff
Loved this build and such a cool idea! I have to say though, I can definitely tell you don't know any chefs hahaha. Most chefs get home and don't want to cook anymore or even think about food after work lol
The pilot episode of our new build series! Let me know if you want me to keep going 😊
YES!
Love this idea!!! ❤🎉
huge fan of this concept! can’t wait to see what you come up with for other careers!
love this!! super creative idea :) can’t wait to see what else you build!
yes! doctor career next pleasee
Do a teacher's house next! I wana see the tiny abode that my low paying teaching job can get me in the sims lol
Definitely depends the country, in mine, Spain they get a nice salary
25K a year doesn't seem like much in other places but in mine you can get a nice apartment
4x4 but livable 🤣😭
@@LouzWrld13k HAHAHA yeah 😭
@@Nobody-sf4cvin finland teachers have like 50k annual salary
In The Sims where toilet paper costs 50 but a window 30 it isn't a factor 😂
she said “there’s only one painting that’s going to go with this room..” and I immediately yelled THE EGG PAINTING YES! 😂
I thought about the pancake painting.
I couldn't believe I got it right 😂

i want to see a nurse!! they deserve the most comfy cozy place that’s clean & has curtains everywhere for the night shifters!!
My grandad was a chef and the salary is accurate but if you're a famous chef you can even get paid millions, it depends on fame after a certain point
I’d love to see an artist’s house next, or any of the creative careers
There wouldn't be enough simoleons to build a bridge

“i don’t think a chef would be gaming, they should be reading culinary books instead” ok doctor ashley 😂
I think it's fair to use debug landscaping when you're doing limited budget builds, personally. This is a good series idea! Excited to see more!
I like the “curb appeal” series lol seeing you build this house reminded me of it 👌🏽
that’s my favorite too

omg this is such a good idea for a build series!
as a chef. the metal kichen counters i would only use in a commercial kitchen, never at home.
I would love to see the Criminal Career. They make so little at the beginning it's hilarious.
House shaped like a dumpster....
Teacher should be a small family home OR teacher couples because teachers usually marry teachers. Also a writer seems so dreamy
I love this build; I'm looking forward to watching the series. I do hope you keep going. I do know by watching cooking shows Chef's love having a garden out the back where they can grow fresh produce. Plus go to the markets extra
*Chef Kiss* love this idea for a new series. Definitely want to see a Musician (famous lots of money and a struggling artist to compare)

OMG. This is the best idea EVER! I really would love to see the teacher’s house.
Do them all!!! We love build challenges
A fun extra challenge could be, you have to include the career unlock-able objects in each house along with the budget as the career salary.

Marriage counseling doesn't fall under the same coding that mental health for someone with bipolar, or drug addiction does.
