      Real Men Real Style
      Yeah, indeed! Nothin' more fragile than the male ego, baby! You hetero guys are so incredibly insecure it's pathetic. A man who drives a Ferrari, a Mercedes Benz, or an Audi is announcing to the whole world, "I have a three inch penis".
      A man who drives a scruffy but well-maintained pickup is saying, " I'm a capable, confident man. Let me give you a hand, brother. "

    I drive a 1988 Toyota Corolla GT-S, women don't give me a second look. Fine, I don't care, I love driving my daily babygirl corolla. When I buy a 2017 Toyota 86 next year, those same women may give me a chance..... What changed? My personality and heart stayed the same. It's the women who changed their minds. Materialistic society is cancer...

    I drive a corvette z06 every one thinks I'm a rich brat but here's is the truth I went to college with no help from my parents, so i got a nrotc scholarship just so i can even make it through those 4 years. I went to school and worked to midnight ever day. I lived in a van until I was 24. I worked hard in the navy and after my service commitment I decided to stay. Im 32 now I have a 4br 3 bath house a wife a kid and another kid on the way. I swear every time a step foot in my car I don't see a rich man I see 14 years of hard work

Chances are, the guy who has a good face and body, is already dressing and grooming well, otherwise, he wouldn't have a good physique in the first place. Of course, you gotta work with that you have and make yourself look the best you can, simple as that. This includes a car, house, grooming, clothing, physique, etc.

      The Audi tells me you pay more attention to real quality and less to largely undeserved reputation than if you drove a BMW. Or, to be more fair, reliability, durability, and simplicity of maintenance are as important to you as the machine's very best performance when brand new and under perfect conditions.
      If a man drives any Land Rover product, it tells me he doesn't mind a 150 mile tow and a 3 week wait for a simple repair that only requires 2 hrs of shop time.

    • @miketheman4341
      @miketheman4341 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      A4 says I can't afford anything but an entry level luxury car! An A5/S5/A6/S6 might be a start as far real upscale. Even an S4 says I can afford something than the bottom end Audi.

    • @miketheman4341
      @miketheman4341 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Except that BMW has the most loyal customer base of any luxury brand. The first 4 years are zero out of pocket costs. Even the oil changes are covered. So it's not just a good car when brand new but good for 4 year or 50000 miles. CPO make up the majority of cars sold that are over 4 years old meaning you are covered for up to 6 years or more. Beyond that if BMW costs you more to maintain then you can afford you should not have bought a BMW as you can't afford it.
      Most importantly BMW drivers point to the way the car drives as the reason they keep buying the brand. Audi has come a long way but it's driving character is not on a par with BMW as of 2016. Audi continues to put hang it's engines over the front axle which is a not going to give a sports sedan the ideal performance.
      It styling is boring according to buyers.

      Intelligence is tricky as far as human attraction goes because too much intelligence comes with its own set of problems. The more intelligent you are, the more likely you will be depressed, did you know that? But having an expensive car says that you're a resourceful man who can support a woman's children. That's naturally attractive to women.

    I don't know how people can live like this. Constantly worrying about what other people think of them. Living your life based on what others want or what makes them feel comfortable is not living. I guess I can 'somewhat' understand a person wanting to progress in a corporation by pretending to be something that they're not. But How far does that go? I say fuck all that bullshit,, Drive what you like (as long as it's environmentally sound, economically reasonable & safe). Dress the way that you like or FEEL!. Because if you don't your going to be just like everybody else,, just a corny conservative carbon copy of each other. Follow the leader is a great game,, follow the follower is just another clone robot game. live 'Your' life!! Explore & be creative with your life. When your life ends you don't want to look back & realize that you've spent your whole life living for other people's approval!! F that nonsense. I'm sure clones will disagree.

      ... i agree, unfortunately this stupid world, brings us down to where at some point you have to conform somewhere, its like college and a bachelor's degree required for certain jobs, fuck out of here with all that man, i know people with masters degree that are the laziest fucks ever ...if your gonna do medicine or law or chemistry or engineering type stuff yeah you need aome knowledge in that area.. but for answering phones or pushing papers, or any kind of true labor.. well you get the point.. really... those with college loans will disagree with me.. what ever, and yeah i got to my first year of college but left in that first year for a real job... 20 years later im retired and doing well.. but for tou college people yes i agree with you that you need it ..why because its the fucking membership plan that buys you a job... these days.. the college membership plan that society has built... and so my point is you conform and go get some useless college credits for some job.. and same goes for cars people conform and go get that SUV because its whats gonna get the sales.... sadly but were are still in a dumbed down society you want the sales you gotta get the SUV...

    • @sloebone7399
      @sloebone7399 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that's the ideal attitude but whether you give a crap what people think about you or not, they will make assumptions. It's often in your best interest to try to guide people's perceptions of you. It will effect your business, and your personal life whether you care or not. There's two kinds of "I don't care". One is not having a preference, Ford vs Chevy, Audi vs BMW, Sedan vs SUV, who cares? The other is not having a choice. Some people drive a beater because they don't care, others decide they don't care because the beater is their only choice.

      It's not really about worrying, nor is this about being too considerate of other's feelings; the principles in this video are about self-awareness and successful living. I know plenty of folks that are happily living barefoot on the river, wearing dirty overalls and no shoes (that was redundant). I'm fine with that, and would never encourage anyone to look down their noses at that lifestyle; however, in the world of business, being self-aware, and mindful of how others perceive you - and perhaps even an ostentatious display here and there - are often the things that put food on the table.
      Don't judge those whom you perceive as being above you, and perhaps those above you will do likewise.

    I judge people by what they drive, but not by how much it costs. I judge them by the character of their car. I don't like people who drive a base model premium car like a 320i.
    Most women on the other hand would look at that 320i and just see a badge and "success." In reality the guy in that 320i is driving either a lease or a company car.
    Beigemobiles are for beige people and middle management.

    • @ronaldperez9606
      @ronaldperez9606 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is a matter of image. 320i is an entry level car for the series 3. Maybe you understand with this example: it is like going to a Jimmy Choo store and buying the cheapest shoes. Yes, you own the brand, but it is not top notch nor middle quality, it is the entry level. You look like you made the effort to get it. We are talking about image. People perceive us on this signals that irradiates success like good cloths, good car, good taste, etc. Or like a BMW 530, or an Audi A6.
      Nothing wrong with the 320i, it is a good car, like an Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. It is a good effort.

    • @ThaKenMan
      @ThaKenMan 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so you can't have a base model 3 series? Does it have to be M3 or nothing? I feel that there are some people who like the styling and don't need the sporting pedigree that comes with the "M" badge.

    • @BeginnerHoops
      @BeginnerHoops 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My beautiful and amazing mistress I have to agree with your points too. All I'm saying is that gets quite irritating with some people who care too much about how others perceive them and fixate over materialistic things. Again there is nothing wrong with a 320i. It is still a great car. I just don't like people who only want a 320i for its badge because they think it'll make them look more lavish; when for the same price you can get a Mazda 6 with far more equipment than a base model 3 series. But hey if it makes you happy then sure go for it.
      As well when did I say anything about only buying M cars lmao? Like did you even read my comment?

      The same can be said about physical appearance, we may feel instinctively attracted someone good looking, since it sends the message of good health, but if we don’t care what’s inside of that attractive head, then that’s not good either.

I got out 50 times for each vehicle(100 total) every time I saw a person coming in right before me. As I walked up to the store, 0 of the 50 opened the door for me when I got out the old beat up Saab and 28 of the 50 opened the door when I got out of the Rover. It's really sad that people judge other people by the car they drive. There have been a lot of pranks on TH-cam testing this and you can definitely see it is true. I'd have to say though it also depends on what city you live in. I'm a young business owner with 2 companies who lives in LA, good looking, but I drive a Honda Civic 2012. I'd have to say, it has been a turn off to some girls in the past for me. I'd rather hide the fact I make a decent living for someone my age to weed out any potential gold diggers.

      I'm in the process of getting my license back, so I've been taking public transit for many years now. In my area (Portland, OR) we have one of the best and most prevalent public transportation systems in the country, so it's much more common for people even with vehicles to take the bus or train often. However, if it is a first date, or an important meeting, I will almost always take an Uber either to, from or both, depending on when the person is going to see me (whether its arriving or departing). Of course, I don't lie about my transportation, but I do find I give a better impression in those scenarios when I arrive or depart in a car vs. a bus.

    I KNEW this was a real & mutually understood concept but I'd never really thought anyone else thought about this or even about them coherently articulating it. I've always liked the idea of crushing pre conceived perceptions though. Almost making people forget you drive that car. If your personality, demeanor and physical attributes completely contradict the normalities commonly associated with the vehicle you drive it can send an interesting message. Like a mean looking, big beard, tattooed guy driving a mini van full of children and a smile on his face. Or a well groomed, handsome suit and tie wearing guy pulling up to a business meeting on a dirtbike. The concept in the video does apply to most people. I'd say an overwhelming majority of us. But our skill, our personalities our attributes should be so overwhelming that 1. What we drive doesn't matter 2. People forget about the vehicles we drive after they've gotten to know us. From an outside perspective the car you drive can send a strong message. People tend to have and develop preconceived notions. That's just the way we're wired. Some of us live by it some of us know better than to believe the opinions our minds form without checking for validity.

    I think at any age passed 23, your car will affect the way you're viewed by others. Im 16, and I recently was given a 2017 Subaru BRZ, an entry level sports car. Before, I would drive a 2006 Ford Explorer to school, and I haven't noticed a difference in the way people treat me after driving my BRZ to school.. I think this is mainly because they know that Im obviously not the one who purchased the car, whereas a 23 year old, who most likely finished college, and has a career, would have purchased their own car, and thus, people will assume their career based on the car they drive.

I do feel like all of your videos make a comprehensive case for men to be gentlemen but I would rather see your emphasis on that rather than the videos based on perception because they are always changing with the times. What has not changed with the times is positive work ethic, moral standards, proper manners etc. After all, when Enron crashed, the thieves were wearing suits and ties and driving the right cars. Just my two cents.

    Another judgement effect on top is music.
    I'm an 18 year old student, and when I drive around town I usually drive either a duct-taped together old Ford, or a shiny Nissan Qashqai. I could definitely tell that when I met people and they saw my car, especially if they were older, they would act just that little bit more condescending towards me if I was driving the duct-taped Ford.
    Now the music part; I usually have the music come through my phone as long as the car has an aux port in it. My "all songs in one" playlist on Spotify features a very, very broad range of music genres, ranging from traditional Jazz to power metal. I've noticed that people that I'm taking somewhere and who don't know me that well react very differently depending on the music. If it's one of the more "normal" genres, they don't seem to care; this includes rock, pop, metal, country, etc. But when I have Rap music on (this is especially in the Qashqai) they seem to think that I'm a spoiled rich kid. If I have the jazz music on, they often seem to think of me as a little quirky and unusual, whether in a good or a bad way depends on the person.

      Alphonsus Jr. You have failed to put out any reason why someone should nit listen to rock or rap besides merely claiming that these are a part of today's neobarbarism, an idea which you need to support with evidence. It is not hard to see that any kind of art can contribute to our culture as long as the goals of Creating such art are not rooted in such mundane things as merely making money. The quality of most modern rap is low, yes, and that is why there is but a smalll amount of artists who I listen to.
      As for passion. It is true that letting your passions control yourself completely is not only undesirable, but arguably immoral. However one should not completely disqualify the fact that this issues, like all issues, is made of shades rather than concrete black and white. Is it not passion which lets us further the human species as a whole? Is it not passion which allows us such feelings as love and comradery? Is it not passion which truly makes us human?
      I do agree that large amounts of modern music are, like you so cleverly put it, "sonic heroin", as that is its purpose in most cases. However I would argue that this is again an issue of passion. The people who create this music don't have the passion for it; instead they try to make the kind of music that appeals to the largest possible demographic and this is how we get all these artificial boy bands and extreme amounts of autotune.
      Indeed, I would say that our current society could use a bit more passion.

      +Romi Kurti The way he thinks has nothing to do with it. It is a factual observation. Your issue should really be with the women that think that way. Not with the person that made the observation.

    I drive a BMW 2 series coupé as a 30 year old IT consultant. Never had any problems. I never brag about it or tell anyone. When I get dicovered they’re just suprised in most cases. An average business car for a junior/senior is Renault Clio or Volkswagen Golf. I do realize that people get more expectations from you when you drive a more expensive car.

    You are so right about impression people have because of what you drive. I have owned a 80 BMW 2002, 96 Audi A6 & S6, 69 Stingray, 71 & 72 Buick 225, ECT. none were slow
    People that know me for a long time are use to me driving modified sport cars. Now that I'm older (53) I bought a 2016 Nissan Versa Note. They are always asking what are the plans for it as if I'm going to modify it.
    The people who don't really know me think I'm struggling to make ends meet. They have a certain expectations from my cars which the Nissan won't get but kept clean.
