Thank you! Love it as well. The Strapcode Super Jubilee is better in my opinion in every regard, except for the high retail price and the end-links that stick out much further than the original metal bracelet and therefore extend the lug to lug distance significantly. Not a good thing in my opinion.
I got myself a strapcode s jubilee for my skx009. Love it so much. Was once considering getting angus for skx007 but after knowing that the angus jubilee has a problem with skx00x in which it shows a small hole between right below bezel at 6 o clock and endlink. It doesnt hv such issue w s jubilee
I appreciate this thorough comparison of these different straps. Thank you! Out of curiosity, what does the SKX007 look/feel like with the Super Jubilee bracelet?
Thank you for the comparison. Great timing, as I was just thinking about getting a bracelet for my SKX013. You've pointed out my main concern, which is the way the Super Jubilee end links protrude, effectively lengthening the watch's "lug length." I get that you overall prefer the Super Jubilee over the Angus, but can you speak more as to how much of a problem (if at all) the male end links are? My wrist is just slightly narrower than yours, and I'm afraid that the protruding end links might overhang or, even if they don't, that they might look or feel awkward/uncomfortable. Some additional context: I'm trying to decide between the Super Jubilee (preferred style, but for the protruding end links) or the Uncle Seiko Beads of Rice (I don't like the style as much, and currently out of stock, but at least the end links don't stick out). So, again, could you speak more as to how much of a problem are the end links on the SKX013 Super Jubilee? Thank you, Sir!
Hi Henry, such a coincidence! Thanks for your comment. Personally, I feel like skipping the Super Jubilee altogether. Only because of the end links that stick out a lot. That changes the whole look and feel, proportions of the watch. Such a shame, because the bracelet is of a higher standard compared to the original Seiko bracelet. I am personally not attracted to the design of the beads of rice. To sum it up. I would go for the original Seiko Jubilee bracelet, a nice NATO or rubber strap. Ps Watchgecko also does the beads of rice.
Could you tell me if the end links on the original bracelet are interchangeable between the 007 and the 013? Just got myself a new SKX013 with the ugly rubber straps but couldn’t say no to the price (£150 brand new, boxed). I found someone selling the original bracelet for the 007 so want to know before buying. Cheers!
Congratulations with the SKX. That is a real bargain! You can find a wonderful bracelet at Strapcode. Perhaps you like it even better than the original jubilee bracelet. End links are not interchangeable. Skx013 has a lug width of 20mm while Skx007 has a lug width of 22mm.
Gadgets for Gentlemen I know right? Found the auction at the last minute on eBay. Would have went for the newer 5KX but preferred the look of this one. That’s a great help. I’ll get one of those. Thank you!
Lucky you! I made a couple of comparison videos on my channel. Comparing the original metal bracelet against the offerings of Strapcode. You can find these on my channel using the search option. I prefer the 013 and 007 over the newer Seiko 5 models as well!
@@GadgetsforGentlemen I will purchase it soon! After two days i wait my Skx007 to come and after that i will purchace the strapcode bracelet, thank you again for review! :)
Can you try the super jubilee on the alpinist? Due to the 20mms lugs i would just like to see if it would work. I don't want to buy a angus. It looks to robust for the alpinist.
Unfortunately I no longer have this one to try out. I think it won’t work however. These endlinks are very specifically made to a case. Usually cases don’t have many similarities. Good luck!
I find the strap code clasps more uncomfortable. They are too bulky and uncomfortable to the wrist especially if working on a desk . About the durability my grandfather have an old Seiko with it's original bracelet that is 40 years old and still working fine so...
I somehow agree with your points! I love the sturdiness, but yes it’s thick. Love the micro adjustments. Nowadays I wear this watch on the original Jubilee bracelet or on a NATO strap. I am curious about your grandfather’s watch! Must be a pretty piece!
This video is a hidden gem 💎
Exactly what I needed to purchase my new bracelet 🙌🏽
Much appreciated!
Great video. I love the original SKX013 Jubilee bracelet.

Much appreciated! I think the Super Jubilee is THE right metal bracelet for this watch! Very comfy, sturdy, stylish and very understated.

Great video. I agree that the Angus bracelet is a bit of a caricature of the jubilee design. Super jubilee for my SKX009 👍🏾
Thanks for watching! For me the Angus is a bit over the top. Typing here with a Super J Louis from Miltat on my SKX009J on the wrist.
A very thorough review - thanks!
Much appreciated. Hope it was useful to you!

Unstoppable93 welcome! Can’t go wrong with a 007 and a Strapcode bracelet 😁 Just make sure the watch is properly aligned! Best regards.

what's your wrist size? Thanks to video.
You are very welcome. Thanks for watching. My wrist size is 6.3 inches.
@@GadgetsforGentlemen Thank you very much. Which one your favorite? 007 or 013
@@mermerserkan I like them both. Currently I only have the 013. I would prefer the 007 J version, because they are getting rare :)
Hey! Have you tried the 013 strapcode bracelet on the mini turtle? I heard it fits
I did not try that 😁

@@GadgetsforGentlemen It is a basic 6309 series watch with white dial but it is holding up very well for it's age.
That is a lovely watch. Does it belong to the Seiko 5 family?
New 013 with jubilee is now almost dryed up.Price are gone up.
Indeed
Male endlinks 😪😪
