My mom has changed drastically after TWO DECADES, but she did and I forgave her. 7 years ago I was in coma, that’s when she woke up. Now we still argue but we are very close! We probably spent so long blaming ourselves and finally we saw the light and realised that we are not to blame for our mothers choices and emotions. That's on her. The best thing here is when we have kids, we know exactly what NOT to do. Consider yourself strong and don't let them tear you down again due to their own self hatred.
I have a major problem with this mother's face when she looks at her child. Her expression alone is enough to give a child inner turmoil and strife. I don't trust that she has good intentions. It seems like the mom is truly just trying to demonize and discount her kid.

I will be there for my children right or wrong. Being there for them doesnt mean I have to not hold him or her responsible for their actions. U can love ur children no matter what they have done. My son is 20 and I raised him holding him responsible for his actions. When he was a teen if he did wrong he dealt with the consequences but I was always right there for him. A parent loves their child unconditionally and if u cant or dont u should have never had children.
"Children" who are legal,18, are considered adults.. but it takes years of wisdom to be a true adult.. every person has to learn the hard way. It won't always work out as we hope for, and that's okay. But a good parent will be there if their kid loses their way to at least say they tried! If a parent wont be there for them, what is that teaching them? Maybe Karen didn't have the best parents and this is why she is this way. But never choose a man over your kid. Karen is about Karen. And her daughter is acting more grown than her own mom here. Maybe it's just me, but I could never not be there for my kids. If they're doing wrong, I will try to guide them.. if they're doing right, I'll praise them. At every age.

I had this same issue with my father. Gets tattoos of them on him, puts them on his insurance plans and neither me or my sister, and literally would cheat on my mother multiple times when we were kids before their divorce and leave my brother to watch us for years. Not only that but he was abusive too.

One night a fight broke out between me him because I “slammed the door too hard”. My mom put everything else, including herself, before me. And it made me literally ill.
