The pixel tablet in Germany is 679€. Not sure what rhe s8 goes for, but I looked it up a few weeks ago and remembered thinking "nope, too expensive". Pixel tablet is also too expensive in Germany.
I live between the UK and Germany and I have noticed that we don't seem to get the same pricing for tech. Another example is the pricing of ipads. Maybe there is some kind of European tax on products?
Here in Brazil Google doesn't sell anything but the nest audio devices. But we can find the Pixel Tablet in some places, unofficially, for R$5.500,00 (US$ 1.145,00). And the Tab S8 can be found from R$ 4.000,00 to R$ 7.000,00 (US$ 833,00 to US$ 1.458,00).
I'm happy with my iPad Mini but if I was in the market for a tablet I would go for the Tab S8. I like the Pixel dock but that would be the only advantage. I think Samsung builds a higher quality product.

Love the review thank you for it. Shows that you are a long time Samsung User. I jumped chip (pun intended) w/ the exploding Note 7. Not hate - love and continue to love many things Samsung. But phones and Chromebook and soon tablet (wish they have a 16g one) all google. The biggest thing about Google UI is how clean it is and doesn't have the gluggy bloatware that is Samsung's UI. But for some, I am sure they love the Samsung UI more. Again, thanks for the review. Good stuff.
One thing that most people don't ever talk about is the pixel experience. I am not a fan of Samsung's UI or the Samsung experience so I prefer the pixel. I love that it just works experience with pixel UI, regardless phones or the tablets.

Can anyone help me with this ? I am facing issue with UNIVERSAL CONTROLLER while using with Safari browser in macbook . The issue is - When i move my mouse cursor to left of the screen the safari "SIDEBAR" keeps popping up . Is there any way to permanently disable this safari "SIDEBAR" , its very annoying when we work using UNIVERSAL CONTROLLER and safari SIDEBAR always keeps popping up whenever cursor moved to the left of the screen.

The Pixel Tablet would be good, if it was not for that useless speaker. It should have at least been Bluetooth. And sell the tablet alone. I would still choose Samsung. Google have a habit of abandoning their hardware. Like the Nexus tablet. Chromebook pixel. Stadia. Google Home Max.
