Not sure why everyone keeps saying it's "overpriced" - sans the dock it's only $400, like the Nexus 10 from a decade ago. Having the dock and a magnetic case + stylus for travel, it's very versatile and Android 15 is making the software more useful also.

I got it with the trade-in deals like many others did. It’s a solid mid-range tablet. The display is sharp with higher PPI count than many others. The round corners are very comfortable to hold. Since it’s meant to be held in landscape, I mainly use it for entertainment and media consumption. Would not pay full MSRP for it though, only get this Pixel Tablet on discounted price.

I picked one up on eBay used in box, with dock for £225. For that price I'm over the moon with it. I use it daily for media consumption, checking emails and web browsing on a bigger screen and a bit of casual gaming. It ticks all my boxes, battery life has been fine and when not in use it's on its dock so I cap the battery to 80% for longevity.
It's no powerhouse or work tool, but I can see it being in my household for a long time to come getting regular use.

Overpriced?yes. Do I use it almost every day? Yes! Have I bought a more expensive tablet in the past and never used it because it was never plugged in so I avoided it like the plague? Yes. So was the pixel tablet price worth it? Yes.

I love my pixel tablet! I haven't used it as much since. I now have the pixel fold. But when I do use it, it does everything I need to do. And I love the fact that it's probably the best clock I've had beside my bed ever.

I am looking to replace my aging Galaxy Tab S7+ with a Pixel Tablet.
I just need a highly secure and production quality tablet that gets the basics done and the Pixel Tablet meets all of that. Though I may wait when they release a 2nd gen Tablet with MTE.

I had both the Nexus 7's, the 9, the 10 and the Pixel C (which I loved - felt that was underrated)... was tempted by the Pixel Tab, but I already have an old base level spec iPad which is fine for tablet things. I tend to spend my non-phone leisure screen time on a Pixelbook Go now... I cant really justify the Tablet whether it's docked or not. Would really love a Pixelbook refresh tho... :)

Shame they are discontinuing tablets, i am a google user but frustrated at lack of tech coming through ,i wanted them to develop it to rival the ipad as i dont like ios, i'm still using Samsung products as i still think they are superior to google products but very close to purchasing the pixel pro,i just wish they'd go all out to develop all the devices as people are crying out for them to rival the big boys in their tech,a bigger investment in these areas could pay massive dividends for Google.

Now IF I wanted to critique Google's failures with this device, I would write the following. First, it's a brilliant idea, IFFFFF it was executed with some common sense and logic. Unfortunately, Google just doesn't seem to have either of those things, and continues to do some super head-scratching things with it's devices. WHY, oh why would they not have just used the MUCH BETTER base of the Max Hub base and speakers??? That is such a no-brainer. ESPECIALLY for a product that's TWICE THE PRICE of the Hub Max that they market this from! And since they already have those bases of the Nest Hub Max in productivity, why not just put the magnetic hook up on those as a price saving method, with NOT having to manufacture a whole different product line??? Google sometimes acts like the most shortsighted tech company on the planet. And since the speaker base has its own power supply, why not replace the ANTIQUATED barrel connector with the more modern and common USB C, so it could work for both the base and tablet??? FURTHERMORE, why not make it a stand alone smart speaker when the tablet isn't connected, so we have even more feature choices??? Lastly, it's another no brainer that there should be a FACE UNLOCK with the front facing camera, so that it recognizes you like the Hub Max does, unlocks itself and gives you all your relevant information as soon as it see's you. Or, for example, if you are cooking with greasy hands, it can unlock and be controlled by voice to give you whatever you need HANDS FREE!!! These are just common sense ideas, that somehow eluded this cutting edge tech company. Lol.
My entire purpose for getting this, was to have a better Smart Home Hub Max, that can do MUCH MORE with the tablet features. And for the most part I got exactly that. I also found an open box deal on eBay, where I purchased the 256gb version for less than $300, including the Speaker dock. Therefore, I've come out well ahead. Sure. But Google's insane misses on soooo many common sense feature transitions with some of these products just drives me crazy, especially with those updates being so logical and easy to see. But the tablet itself is very good, and with a few tweaks Google could make it into something really GREAT.

I was deciding between the regular iPad and this, the pixel tablet with the dock dropped to 400 pounds which is the same price as the base iPad so i went for the pixel. I really like the dock for charging, just dropping it there at the end of the day is so nice. The best thing with this tablet is by far the official tablet case, love it so much. The only thing i dislike is that the tablet can be stuttery at times, or not as smooth as i would expect from a pixel. This especially goes for the youtube app, which i find strange considering this is a google tablet and a first party app (oh and the app has also become unresponsive at times). The battery could be a tad bit better, but it dont matter really if you have the dock. Would have been nice with a 90hz or 120hz screen, but i can survive.

The galaxy tab line has been great, DEX is awesome and super useful. I hope google creates another pixel tablet with a newer processor and in more than one size. As much as I like my pixel tablet, I agree it is overpriced.

I think it worth that underated position though
Speaking of hardware for gamers, that g2 is nowhere near the soc from apple, qualcomm or even mediatek, that thing dont even have a high refresh rate screen
Speaking of price, it not that cheap compare to tablets like xiaomi pad, oneplus pad and xiaoxin pad (in my country), those tablets have a better spec, a buggier software ofc but at a cheaper price
Speaking of software, in my experience, oneui for tab is better and obviously it nowhere near ipados (the goat for tablet software in my experience)
So in conclusion, it dont have the hardware powerful enough for gamers, it not really cheap for someone who looking for a cheap tablet, it dont have a good enough software to compete with other tablets coming from samsung and apple at that price point so what the point of buying that thing? The dock?

The google home mini 1st gen was like $40, and it sounded WAY louder than this speaker which they now sell separately for $150!!! It's not like it's not loud because they can't make it loud, they are just trying to steer us in the direction of apple, and it's honestly starting to p*ss me off if I am being honest
