The ADF Snipers I spoke 2 yesterday said that the Blaser is a great rifle and very accurate but their one criticism was the safety sometimes not disengaging on occasions whether it was operator error or an actual issue they couldn't say. I always remember when the Blaser's came into the Aussie Market they were received pretty well considering how futuristic they looked for the 90's.
@@discogodfather22 Sorry about that. I am a 100% disabled veteran. I meant a R93 bolt housing will work in a TAC2. Thinking about getting an additional bolt housing that is left hand. Thank you for replying. Just looking to get replacement parts
It's a good question and the jury is still out. Someone once told me that Blaser told them no interchangeability, but I personally see no difference. There were differences in the receiver- one apparent one was the mounting holes for the side mount pica tinny rail, which was in the same position as other LRS2's (it was moved rearward for the Tac2) I have never personally inspected an LRS2 338LM but from all my pictures it looks identical to the Tac2 except for that small detail I mentioned. I'd bet they were interchangeable with 34mm Tac2 barrels.
I'll have a video up soon explaining all the interchangeability. What's shocking is that there are many many interchangeable parts from all series of Blaser tactical rifles, much more than has been commonly known. For instance, the bolts, bolt bodies, all internal firing mechanism parts, buttpads, bolt heads, etc. are all the exact same parts with only some very minor differences. I have used my LRS bolt in my Tac2 and used a friends LRS2 bolt in my Tac2. They work! Exact same internal parts. There is a relief cut on the bottom of the bolt body towards the magwell that is different but it seems to make no functional difference.
I'm looking forward to that video! The LRS2 is the first rifle I ever fired. I have both the LRS2 and LRS2 338LM style. I knew they were supposed to be different, but I couldn't tell visually though, they look Identical to me. I swap other barrels into the regular LRS2.
I just spoke to Laura at Blazer USA today and she said that there was no compatibility. The tac 2 is its own gun. :( Unfortunately she also said she couldn't obtain any parts for it. Looks like I'll have to keep an eye out for second hand parts.
Great video however your accounts of the Australian military deploying more troops to iraq, Afghanistan and Syria is wrong. The U.K. Is the next largest contributor to the wars. We have also suffered the most casualties outside of the U.S effort. Just a factual point. The Australian military are engaged in the fight and they do an amazing like everyone fighting terror.

Great video. A unicorn of a rifle.
Hi, Does the TAC 2 use the same bolt and housing as the R98? Thank you
You mean the R8? Nothing is interchangeable from the R93/LRS/LRS2/Tac2 platforms to the R8.

@@rameyeriii There are some parts from the R93 bolt housing that interchange but they are not all the same and an R93 bolt will not fit a LRS2/Tac2
Was there any interchangeability between the LRS2 338LM and the Tactical 2?

Chris Morlock Thanks! Your videos are awesome!
